  1. Maddens forward craft puts him ahead I believe but Maxy is still on the bus charging the giants down. A flag or two and consistent big game and Finals wins will propel his AFL status but he is one of about 8/10 real greats at the Dees and the best this century so far. Trac and Clarry are going to have some say in both camps ( Best player ever OR best this century). If they play for a decade or more. ( Gerard Healey is not a Dee great as he only did it for 5 years) Today Zthru both were what we want every game from them midfield grunt Quick and neat disposal and running a full 10/15m when space allows AND hitting the scoreboard. Guess who helps make them great Maxy of course!!!
  2. What record are you going on BBP? Overall since Marvel started or last few years? Our last 4 years since beating Saints in Round 1 at Marvel would be about 70% where as The G we wouldn't be Near 50% I don't reckon.
  3. AVB not out there also.
  4. Along with Petty's comeback to footy.
  5. Well the jury is out on our best player again and Max's form today was a level above last year BECAUSE he tapped far better to our mids and he saved the game early on then won it for us With his goals and size up forward. Thst worked well today and with Lever intercepting at his best he could do both.If that can be the bench mark for both then we are in good hands in the air providing (1) Everyone doesn't all fly together and let the crumbers run out the back For a walk in goal which happened at least twice. (2) Nev Jatta was ok today pace wise but he does fly too often with the talls hence this happens .(3) That is why I believe Lockhart should play as an old back pocket minding a small and staying down for the ball from dropped marks and punches from defenders. Goody needs to wake up about our weakness ageist smalls Daniels or Tippy or any number of Tigers. (4) Looking at Petty in the 2nd game he will play as a third tall in Round 1 1 if he is fit enough..He is a class above Tommo who is honest and good depth plus versatile but Petty has class and appears a natural defender at CHB of FB if a change is needed Oh and he can be swapped with Tommy Mac if need be. (5) The sync with Max (and Jacko ) and the Mids was good and near the level that we need to get the best out of all our stars on the ball. They in turn hurt the opposition with a running kick or smart handball or tackle that stopped the Tigers run. Ooze has had an immediate effect on Clarry he didn't waste a handball today and kicked when he could get Out on his own or run faster than his opposition. Harmes Jordon and Sparrow all had worthwhile days which shows great promise for our depth and no one looked out of their class any where on the ground (6) we had a pretty even game with 3 Rd quarter a standout with the wind and 2 Nd a struggle early but worked hard to get back in the last 10 mid before the half time. We ran out the game well in the last quarter sort of against the breeze. Our end to end run scored 2 goals as well so our fitness stood up all day. Coaches would be pleased tonight that a lot looked improved was solid all day and at a quicker pace which will be even more speedy when Kossie and Jack V return. Plenty of ticks all round Dees.
  6. Totally 1858. Far too many are critical of the location intrigue and the delay issue. Its a once in a lifetime responsibility and having it near the MCG just seems right and the Rothey led Working Committee have No doubt much Information we are not privy too ( nor should we be until the final Location etc is revealed. Needs to be within the walking distance of the G so all the Admin, Sporting needs and social Club are united as one facility. Maybe the building is over the Rail line In part! Agree that off the field The Committee's efforts are much underrated and the mud slinging and distrust is way over the top. I like the way Casey Fields is developing but some imagination with transport by Almost express bus Or train and bus is needed as a package with admission to the AFLW and Practice AAMI style games. The Club should be subsidising some of this also for Casey residents to the MCG or Marvel. Perhaps the Election was Too closely controlled and by going that you very often miss out on the best candidate ( for the future) who will challenge thought processes on another level without being a constant dissenter or always a devils advocate. Lets see anyway It's a big year on and off the field but an exciting one full of hope and expectation.
  7. That's been going on well before Covid and it is very hard to not get involved. Take your own wipes !!
  8. Good point we must live outside of footy for a balanced life. Beautiful spot. Maybe a trip to Tamar Valley and a picnic at one if the wineries During the day.or a picnic at the Gorge and if possible a boat ride. From memory the WaterWheel complex is Up market with a fab Restaurant yo boot. Bizaarely there is a ghost tour of Launceston ( at least in 2010 there was,) for something really different When in doubt ask a Local! Enjoy DW and Mrs DW.
  9. Did you ask him to provide the dumplings and spring rolls as a bonus while receiving these holistic ??? Treatments at the Thai emporium. Oh and the spicy Asian sauces which ensure every Thai experience has a happy ending!!!
  10. We were about fourth in total crowds in 2018 and Record membership of 52,000 plus first time ever.in 2019.
  11. No bobby I don't share your pessimism about kicking goals. It's a bit harder but I have faith in the new Coaches and young players That should be selected. Could be fake optimism but we won't be one dimensional like previously and our smalls are exciting prospects and training well. Please read dome of my posts Showing why so am very bullish about our mids and ruck connecting much better and playing team footy. Natural Improvement in Lockhart Lever Rivers Fritsch Jacko Kossie and a resurgence in form from Harmes and Tommy Mac would add goals to our score plus Gus and Jack will be better with Ooze as coach of the mids. Half glass full not empty is my mantra ! Position in 8 sure but Top4 not out of the question given Good injury runand game plan improvement . Clarry won't leave if he is rewarded with a new contract till his FA occurs if we show we are On the ball.
  12. Don't think that's accurate at all the North game was in our website for a While.
  13. How do you change categories unless you have a MCC/MFC double up??
  14. He only wants to watch the game Tarax!!!
  15. Already it has been stated that priority will be given to HOME members in matches Obviously to ensure that Clubs have best chance of selling memberships. The supporters of bigger Clubs might struggle with smaller games but all Clubs could in some blockbuster games if 50% capacity is retained more than say Round 5/6. Melb would want our blockbusters vs Tigers Pies Bombers (away) Cats Saints to be as full a capacity as possible so that maximum revenue can be obtained. BTW Old Dee Your statement that you didn't go last year is not news as NO ONE in Victoria saw any games live in 2020 due to Covid. I was very lucky being in Brisbane saw about 15/17 games inc. Gabba and Metricon inc. all the Melb games plus some others. Supporters just have to get adjusted to applying for each match tickets ( which are Covid tracing friendly) even if they are members have reserved seats or are away general admission. It's easy after a couple of tries.!
  16. It might not be important but in Brisbane their GabbaTrust ( which I am a member and it is a very smallish copy of the MCC) started off having a ballot when the AFL games commenced in about July In 2020 and it was much more work for their staff ( possibly more complaints) but After about 3 weeks they resorted to first in best dressed and their responsibility is far less as all tickets are in a queue and you have 2 sections to choose from Alchohol or Non Alchohol. Needless to say The Non A did not sell out any where near as quick. Of course you don't have the choice in MCC of that Style of seating. This was handled very well all tickets are mobile and bag checks also undertaken quicker by staff. But you also have your seat and no one can take it!!! So don't have to get the There Early really either and are able to get some ( how many I don't know in a row maybe guest passes ) all depending upon early Covid protocols with say 50% capacity. Would be nice if 75% was allowed forPreAnzac Eve vs Tigers and for QB maybe even full!!
  17. Obviously there are limits of speech for Our Pres to advise and as it seems to be on Govt land and they are going to get the kudos for this Community and Sporting Complex probably right near Richmond railway Station redevelopment. Couldn't be any better placed really to maintain our historic sporting and emotional association with that area. As I said to rJay be patient !!! Not much longer it would appear.
  18. I have to ring MCC to see if they will still have reciprocal rights tickets available otherwise my Melb m'ship ticket (which I normally give to a friend for his family ) will have to be used in the outer where they like to stand !! They Wont be able to stand very freely I reckon this year as they will have Covid officials ensuring you are in your seat. For tracing purposes!! Love the MCC Members in Section 1 well back from the fence giving great view of the ground at that level. Still really should be glad just to go to the G and get back to barracking with all the other fans for the Dees.!!!
  19. At 9.30 AEDT am in the morning ??? Come on !!!
  20. Well basing your opinion that we will have a poor year will lead to Clarry leaving is not a great reason for that to happen. Zhe might win our B and F and be happy if we make the 8 !!!
  21. Some of these factors are what size am saying An express train only stopping at Dabde and Caulfield or same with bus ( with Club promotion involved) our to Casey is really basic stuff. Brisbane gets about est. 70 % to Gabba By bus from reg shopping centres for parking each game and is just completing this year I believe the Cross River Rail underground with a Gabba Station adjacent to the Gabba!
  22. BDA thanks Agree with your summary Of our more experienced players and Hibbo had a good year ( and is unlucky to miss in my team ) but Langers Clarry Trac ( especially) plus Salem's last half also IMO all we're reliable and near Or in best seasons performance mode. Agree that TomMac Melksham Gus Jake L Viney ( not far off) Harmes and on the wing Only Tommo were all inconsistent and will need to lift their game fir us to go to smother level. But it's the young group I think we will get a big lift out of without putting too much pressure on each of them individually. Other factors such as better training and much improved match day decision making plus game plan tweaking etc. can lift us by 20% in a lot of areas.
  23. IMO CS is definitely saying that Casey residents don't want to go to the MCG on Sat ( Why only Sat p.m.?) Or is that just saying any time really! For any maximisation of our Casey deal of 30 years Melbourne must have factored in some additional supporters From that region. Some at Casey Fields and a corresponding spike on match days at the G ( or Marvel) as new fans were attracted to the national game. But in doing so I don't know if any sweeteners have been offered to the ratepayers of Casey for example, maybe Others than a few free kids tickets on the odd occasion. Maybe some benefits For ratepayers for membership. Or transport such as a special train from Cranbourne with free transport or alternatively bus transport from Cranbourne To the G. On its own or as a packsge. On the rebound a bus from Caulfield station or at least from Cranbourne for AFLW games to Casey Fields and return would provide a More relaxing easy mode of transport. Of course as we all know any promotions are so much better if the team is successful. But creative marketing also is needed to make use of our relationship with City of Casey. It must have given you Its Time confidence that The Casey deal would be a success with a major player in our Club hardly giving it his spproval.!!!
  24. That's having a bet each way DS ! Saying "flankers" Like Rivers Pickett Laurie and Bowery don't have to do grunt work Or be brilliant is odd. And then even if it happens it won't be a full season But it might change the feel of the team.! I am thinking you have phased this clumsily and mean that the younger players if used don't have to be the stars but play a role to support the more established players such as Trac May Gawny and the established more experienced group. Your doubt that it would last the full season is even odder given that recruits are managed these days to get through the season. And finally Rosman has the goods to play and should as he is physically big enough even though it's a demanding position. If he's good enough he should play as any of our new players from recent drafts or even Lockhart Sparrow and Jordon if they are showing form good enough compared to say Melksham or ANB or Vsnders. Some of Our good players of 2018 have not produced since then including Harmsey and need to earn their spot in 2021. That will Enable improvement in the team with all contributing equally to the team cause In line with their roles and ability.
  25. So where will Clarry be playing in 2022 oh smart one?
