  1. If that's the case we will win it in 2022. Ross the boss would never have had as much ability at his disposal at Saints or Dockers as this team could be by 2022.
  2. Regarding this Rookie status it doesn't affect selection availability any more. Rookies used to have to be upgraded yo be eligible for selection. Now I can't remember seeing Jordan play on TV since the 2019 JTL practice matches vs Tigers and Lions at Casey I think. Looking at the photos of him training he now looks physically ready to play AFL seniors in size and physique. Hopefully he gets given every chance along with Sparrow Bedford Neitshke and our new draft choices in the intraclub and AFL practice match series. If his ability can match his body we might judg have a player on our hands. Also the Jacko summer weight program looks to have started to build a footballer into a man from a boy which bodes well for us. Hopefully Riv and Kossie also are spending time in the gym on the weights!! The AFL Wash Up with Cleary snd NatcEdwards was a very mundane tread water for 2021 for the Dees . I might be biased but I cannot see us going backwards in any way given a good run with injury also our youth development potential plus the Ooze factor on our football and game plan. Only time will tell of course but I am confident we are on the right track even if the Coach is under pressure to deliver.
  3. How do you know that P2J? Explain please.
  4. Great points GD98 I have called this in about half a dozen posts since the end of 2020. Salos last 6 games this season had real impact with greater speed running urgency and the tank he built from going to USA with Trac last preseason For that training camp/workshops. Half forward for me and an occasional run on the ball maybe changing with Viney at forward stoppages to utilise his elite skills of disposal or even kicking goals!
  5. HFF Where would you look?? its a delicate matter and needs very careful groundwork yo get it right. With dissatisfied fans abounding in this forum no winder that are not able to share any update info thus far Bet you don't go on the forum and ask politely??
  6. Ryan Reynolds and Ohio please Read the Club post and response re this carefully. Dont jump to conclusions it's not a slavery market you are both trying to portray!! Also Ryan Reynolds saying about money in football !!! Which rock have you been under (Uluru??) All clubs are looking to be creative in different areaS to save. What about trainers they volunteer and Gain some experience That's not a 2 hour a week job either!!
  7. Be careful P2J you will have all the doomsayers on your back saying they are sick of predictions as we are always let down. I am preferring to be bullish about our list and recruits of last year and BBB plus Locky etc improving us also the Ooze effect. It's a fair chance as all our guns pretty well gave us good to great 2020 and look to be A or B graders of solid and consistent style.
  8. Sorry BDA Gawny does not have to satisfy "The whole fan base". That is impossible and you know it. What is a fluff piece Is saying we are ready for a top4 spot and fail to give any back up as to why we don't improve. The comments about the defence, mids and forwards plus BBB are honest and his reason for saying we are ready for success. Also one year 2018 is really nothing when you look at before and after that date. Obviously he is One of the best at positively promoting the Club and relates pretty well to our expectations. Saying we don't deliver is easier than Actually exAmining the reasons why and is it because we drink our own water or just wildly forecast for 56 years That we are going places and haven't won that bl..day elusive flag! Not really I guess that every year I believe it is going to be the year we end the drought and look at why we can rather than worry about predictions or expectations harming our chances. BTW see my post on Tommy and Jacko etc and if you disagree comment against it as it relates to our ability in 2021 and potential success.
  9. Yes I agree and that alone makes fir some Confidence building news. The two single points D/L have made about Tommy and Jacko over this season are to me : 1. Tommy is on the scrap ( s "crap") heap and should be consigned to the Twos and won't play a senior game, nor should he be considered!!! Some IMO quite disgraceful posts about him which ignore Toms battle with something I don't feel we know much about and even Burgo or Tommy have responsibility for. Ie who if anyone approved his sudden gain of weight and if so why wasn't it rectified like it is being done now or is it His foot or toe injury related Starting back to early 2018 when he missed the first few games and returned vs Bombers at Marvel Stadium. 2. Jacko is a work in progress. Please dont overload His work and he will be a good player "in a few years"!!! Now there are much better judges Than me on D/L and within the Club but please don't tell me that Jacko is like Weid !!! What he does on the footy field comes naturally and fortunately From his extraordinary competitive nature as highlighted by his follow ups from the ruck which make him an extra mid ( think he is both inside and outside) as he just sees ball and gets ball then looks to dispose or peel off a generally good quality handball to our benefit. No one will teach him that and I well bet that 75/80% of his game is based on that and he will continue to marvel us just the same way as Nic Nat has the WC fans. What he needs will be ruck training and practice and high marking similarly. These skills will continually improve each year BUT Jacko will be one of our top ten players already from this year on. IF both players contribute Tom getting back 2018 form no matter where he will play and Jackos natural development Continues we will be a 3/4 goal better side automatically. I can not therefore understand the doomsayers saying we will struggle ( serious multiple injuries not withstanding) When BBB and his effect on the forward line Frittas development and accuracy plus Kossie and Rivs development and we hope a much better game plan with dome input fir our mids from Ooze to ensure they play as a team not individuals all mistakenly chasing kicks and Some the plaudits. Yhe major areas are Forward and On ball and if we get those right then it is a no brainer the improvement in 2021 will be walked and not just talked.
  10. Yes but nowhere near as bad as the Pies who have learnt from Trump over the last 4 years and are not to be TRUSTED With deals or player negotiations.
  11. Thanks LH I guessed it when I looked at the list from that post as it worked out. will be interesting which way will we go and who we pick to improve out list in talent and more direct needs.
  12. HFF HBF also winger plus Outside running mid all in the mix. Outside chance for developing young ruck if one with any ability I guess.
  13. Not sure about the difference of delisted and Not retained. Guess it's ones from the list of 2020 and others from the Rookie lis/s. Gives us a chance for 4 draftees if we want and I additional pre-season player or 3 and 2 or 1 as we desire. Probably depends upon anyone in the 50 area we deem as potential for 2021 for development. Wise options From our Club.
  14. That's the Club not Simon's results which could be Top4 finish or 4-8 position with side issues eg injuries. Finals and consistency and results should take care of themselves in terms of wins.
  15. Writing Gawny off already!!!! last para that's exactly what happened this season Pies 9/1/7 Us 9/8 And its a marathon not a sprint first half vs 2nd half it's total wins that count not what you are at Round 5, 10 or 15 but 22.Then you start another mini season for Finals.
  16. Turner Please don't confuse Hore and Lockhart As they offer 2 distinct styles of play. Jay is a small defenders style with run and carry aggression and move ing the ball fast and jumping fir marks realistically allied to your ability. Should be at Club in BP fir the next 6/8 years as Jets replacement from Round1. Love what he offers to our defence in the way of attacking play which we need to develop with our very talented group just developing strongly. Marty is basically a Lever clone who intercepts marks across the defence and not necessarily takes a man. IMO not fast enough to mind smalls and big enough for key position minding jobs. Difficult to fit into team as his disposal is ok but not outstanding also. Smith is his biggest Opposition as he has pace and spring but Lever stops his progress also.
  17. Once agsin a D/L "expert" has missed naming our premiere small defender Jay Lockhart. Or are they in unison with Goody who forgot about him fir the last 5/6 rounds this year. Ignore Jay at your peril should be our BP fir the next 6:8 years during our run to and consistent appearances hopefully in the Finals.
  18. One needs more than a good feeling vibe to occupy a list spot in 2021. Don't think L Jetta has got the runs on the board on the last 2/3 years unless he lifts his ratings in many key factors. Regrettably NO
  19. Agree and let's hope 3 or 4 of them improve .
  20. Panic comments and out of our 1 year signings and out of contract others at least 3/4 should be improved with greater coaching and development. Think a half glass full approach is best rather than the usual doom portrayed. Lockhart Jordan Bedford and Baker could all improve with Casey type games each week as well .
  21. Sorry but who is the best small defender on our list in view of Jets lack of pace? Most Dees fans would have Lockhart by a country mile but our Coach mysteriously dropped him in the last 5/6 games. Why ?? And in true to his form refused to look at him again despite disastrous form by most in Cairns.
