Depends what wine it was!! Reputable or a lower popular label being slightly/ openly upgraded in price. You don't get any decent wine at a licensed club or restaurant For less than $40 I would testify. Interestingly glass of wine in the Gabba Members Trust in Brisbane is between $10 or $11 and a medium style so much on a par. Just remember MT 64 another 7/8 home games and 3 Finals at $50 only means about $500 before our next FLAG. Better get the price of the Best Sparkling Wine for that last Sat in September!!! It might be more civil in Hugh Trumble Cafe than the rollicking Bull Pit full of atmospheric charm and off the cuff singing!!

WHICH footy Clubs Are you talking about? None of them are Of any strength now so MOVE ON from the VFL/VFA period am look to the future . Those "Footy Clubs" are not around and the 80,000 population is the future of that area and it needs a high class sporting facility for Pt Melb and Maybe the Dees For S as Amin Social snd Training etc. FGS give up the 70's footy culture and move on SWYL!

Old Dee I am no sure from your post above whether YOUR PHONES or the Restaurants do not have the latest Vic Gov QRCode? If your phones were rejected Then I suggest you need to use the App to get the updated Vic Govt QR code on your phones. If it's the restaurants that haven't got The new Govt code then they are at fault of not upholding the Govt system. In ANY CASE you should have signed a Manual system which each restaurant etc. would / should have had for record purposes. That manual system had been in for months do us no excuse. Also I am assuming your phones are " I Phones" capable of this technology being used.

Really do you think Goody is resting LJ now in the forward line has anything to do with managing him for Finals now? If I am a Test Captain I am not resting my opening bowler in the Second Test if I need to win that Test to gain a 2-0 lead in the series. ( Unless he was carrying a minor injury or niggle ) that needed managing. So that is not the reason LJ was in the FPocket on Sat night. He was adjudged on form to be the best player on the Forward line at that time to give us a chance of winning plus also taking/ sharing. the boundary throw ins and ball ups. Also it was only the second time this season that we have played Tmac BBB snd LJ together on the forward line. Any one saving ( managing) players fir later in the season on a large scale is risking Upsetting the balance of the team as injuries and form will always be the best guide to selection EXCEPT where say youngsters in their early stages of career may be managed To ensure a freshness for all the season. Kossie JJ LJ and Riv are all possibilities fir this even Fritta May be considered. But you don't flirt with form and certainly not at this stage of the season!!
  5. Interesting take on Cairns Garbo. If only it was that simple. Poor selection fro the conditions inability to handle wind and rain plus sheer lack of skills and yes a schedule that we didn't adapt ( like WC Eagles) to of flying in and travelling hours prior to the first game. Don't think any one left it to The next week we just were not tuned in or ready for such games In those conditions with such a dreadful skill level and average game plan also.
  6. Irrelevant We had fallen in under a goal in about 5 Winning games and were at the end of a run that started in 1964. Plus we had Smithy and the Cttee at war. The personnel while in name were the same were tired and no such 7/8 AA players and 10/12 B+ footballers. History proved that We never recovered with retirements and drop offs after 1965 and of course had lost the greatest modern footballer RDB who covered a multitude of deficiencies as he commenced in carving as successful coaching career as playing at Carlton. Some of the stats from Sat night re centre clearances and inside 50's May not be sustainable Every week Against all opposition but many players had their Uncharacteristically worst games for the season and we were saved by our Twin Towers Tmac and BBB and IMO again by our defence and The wonderful competitive ability of Clarry to get his amazing hands on the ball first and kick, handball, scrap and shovel it Forward any how in our direction. He refused to yield and any one who says we could do without him as the first mid with hands on the ball is either blind or does not Understand inside competitive football today. I expect a big lift in many players this week as the Blues are dangerous with the ball in hand moving forward. Not so defending ground and space which should enable us to control the game.
  7. The AFL would add some sweeteners as the deal is evolved.
  8. Tmac was 9.4 this season at set shots before his first or second goal Sat night. Can't have missed too many BDA Then this season.

We were The away side in this game!! That explains white shorts and most things

Your perception is amazing based on the last 3seasons of football where he clearly has been our best forward by a mile after mid 2019. He was beaten by a very good defender (AA standard) in Rampe and Usually still gets a goal or two in these situations. But slipped in one and couldn't buy a mark under the pressure of the game. He will be all the better For the Gsme and I bet he will kick at least 3 vs Blues. There is not a lot wrong at the moment and I believe you are looking for Things that aren't there. Turn your attention to say Melksham snd you may be onto something !

Whilst I was not at the MCG last Sat night ( live interstate) I watched twice on TV and didn't think Charlie looked "flat". Form was good for all Of the game and contested well In all aspects.
  12. Hold your horses they have indicated it will be played later in the season!! Its too soon to worry about the replay it will happen.
  13. 58er replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Are you insinuating Fritsch doesn't tackle chase etc? Well we can't do without him And his average 2/3 goals per week. its ridiculous to even think off this move. Melksham clearly Is under pressure.
  14. So who else are you suggesting might be in the 23 in September? Jack Viney Obviously Sam may be the future but NOW is 2021 and right now BBB and Tmac have the KP posts in hand and it is theirs lose. With LJ and Gawny in the mix resting some times Bayley no 4 and Kossie plus Resting mids and alternate flanker eg Spargs, ANB or Chandler. Any changes to mids or defence Pates???
  15. PRAHRA you ate wrong we won in 2015, GC 2016 GWS and Ssints 2017 !! Missed until Round1 this season we hitch is no gap at all really.
  16. No she is a running player rather than KP unless she develops more physically. We badly need a big KP forward though as Tegan is not the full time answer and most others are flankers size. Petrevski hopefully will be fit as we need her crumbing snd speed badly. Also need A KP back of some size For marking. We must build up the forward line to eradicate these days when we lock badly. They cost us again badly vs Dogs Pies and Crows in Prelim.

That would be like making Pat Cummins your fourth change bowler moving Tommy to the wing MarK my words He IS NOT a wingman !! Never has and never will be He started on a wing In the first quarter fir about 3 minutes in 2018 Just to warm up. Neither Weid Or Daw are needed it's our smalls and Fritsch that will boost our scoring.
  18. PS It is Neil Crompton btw.
  19. Lovely Story hope we win for your mother ( and a quarter of a million Dees fans ) again this year. And our older fans as time is getting tight.
  20. Yes a reset next week will be made you watch. Kossie back in the goals.
  21. 58er replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Didn't risk marking vs Buddy though.
  22. 58er replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes there is room for some tweaking in the centre bounce area and lack of cohesion. Too many errant handballs and some not first decision ones also! And I thought our play on game today was non existent.
  23. 58er replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
A watching brief this week in Trac and Kossie I reckon Hoped we could use them vs Blues andManage vs Adelaide.for tougher sides Lions and Dogs.
  24. 58er replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
For once I agree with Skuit Smokey Gus needs to concentrate Seriously on his footy not amateur clowning and podcast presentations. To see Trac and others Improve snd compare the 2018 Gus with now is chalk and cheese. Time for a wake up call Gus this is a serious business we are getting into and no passengers are welcome!

How could you leave our best forward over 6 foot in Fritta!! He has an uncanny knack to be in the right place at the right time. Ladt week he showed he is developing into a champion forward with great skill and ball sense. Very hard to match up on as we have many different forward options!! Hope they all are in their game vs Swans .
