  1. Good call on Windsor Adam he should line up in the centre and control our game with his speed class poise and goal kicking down the guts. Not yet on the ball but about 2 years ahead of his career in our team. Let’s use him and maybe Pup or Sparrow or Xavier can take over the other wing with Lingers setting standards as usual on his wing.
  2. He just said positively that he felt he would be ready for Round1 ie to play but did not mention AFL or VFL. We could assume perhaps but unlike last year when he wasn’t fit I think he would be still bought along conservatively. Perhaps he could be fighting Kolt Chandler and Pup plus Xavier Lindsay for a half forward flank vacancy. if that were the case I think we could be thrilled with that depth to select from. No shame to miss out really.

He is in Swans folklore. Most successful coach ever I presume. Most Clubs would die for the last 14 years 62.% winning run 5 Grand Finals 1 Flag A culture of winning and team ethos plus a development program thst is the envy of the AFL. Crowds have risen consistently over this period along with membership and 12 Finals in 14 years. And are well and truly respected along with The Cats as the most successful teams that have not had to bottom out to keep competitive. Much like Collingwood of old since 1958 but always around the mark.
  4. I don’t advocate The Duke for on the ball this year but placed as our new centre man where his skill speed poise and goal kicking would be a real bonus from the centre of the ground and down forward. In time yes he should be a midfield runner also but now he breathes a Warner style centre man creating havoc.

Really that is not going to make a great difference if they only improve marginally. Jefferson you have nominated was probably the biggest improver in the club last season. He is almost a lock in for Senior games early in the season judging by 2024 and his already promising performances at pre season training. But the rest played either fairly standard AFL and reasonably good standard to some standout Casey games. For all of them to improve to AFL standard is asking a lot as some eg McAdam and Fullarton were hardly knocking any door down for fulfil a really meaningful depth role. Laurie Woewodin had plenty of opportunities but just couldn’t really nail down a regular spot and Sestan and Adams were although both are promising were never any real chance fit AFL experience. My point really is this group would not be expected despite their talent to make a great lift in our Finals fortunes unless a major acceleration occurred in form with Jefferson excepted. indeed players like Lever Salem Spargo Petty Fritch Bowey had poorer seasons and can go back to a level of 2021 hopefully. The realistic hope of our team in bouncing back to Finals is that JVR Turner Chandler AMW go to another level of improvement and that the stars like Viney Trac Clarry Maysie Gawny Kossie Lingers McVee and The Duke have injury free years plus consistently high standard of play to inspire a resurgence similar to 2021. Also newcomers Langford Lindsay and Sharp have super first years to provide fresh young legs and lead our team to play a more exciting brand of footy that will not only be successful but get our fans also buoyant about chances of another tilt at Top4 and the Flag. And it goes without saying that the Coaches especially Goody are under pressure and Chaplin also to manufacture a sharp and organised goal scoring forward line to win matches.
  6. Agree Such a simple error resigning Hore over Riak.

You’re confusing your sports making life far too difficult!! There are a million numbers over the world you could be taking into account. What happens in Spain or Manchester has no bearing on our allocation. Embrace the young stars in their OWN number to create a legendary career for our future champions.

Functions for 30 years and 50 are usually held in season before a game or mid week. Also sometimes another get together is inviting interstate fans to a pre game function. Notice of weeks or two/ three months is usually given and often includes a seat in the Northern Stand level2.
  9. In a real world we should have drafted Riak and not given Marty Hore a one year contract. This is not a decision for our future and the Swans swooped.

People don’t give to a fund with no real proof of and substance. So while it may have been a time for a start asking again when further details are revealed would be hard pressed to get the same people donate again. Let’s get behind this project once the official announcement is confirmed. One real go to get a target is the way to go.

Are you guessing these estimates or have you any plans or info to confirm your assertion?
  13. Totally agree SWYL any gain for a player in any skill is great for our benefit. Hope Fritta kicks over 50goals this year.

It’s not really our choice about what no each player is listed. Either they negotiate or accept the final Guernsey no offered to them. Simple as we just watch on and marvel at the choice each year.

So those players mentioned have not contributed to the Swans making 2 of the last 3 Grand Finals? Think you are on your own on this one. same as the Suns they have a raft of Academy recruits. Make a difference also. Brisbane now have the 2 Ashcrofts and Fletcher plus Marshall all will be vital players in their effort to go back to back! Don’t rhink Mac Andrew’s would slot in our team at CHB or CHF? And improve our footy. That’s exactly what the idea of the Northern Academies are to assist the NSW and QLD teams to be competitive and it is working before our eyes.

What about Senior Coach? Even better I think than Footy Dept Manager.
  18. Trouble is that you are picking out one issue you believe is nonnegotiable. Isn’t kicking goals as a forward the same. Don’t see you picking out Chin or Spargs if they don’t kick goals because they may tackle more or go some chasing. I think you just want to have a whipping boy and Fritta is easy prey because he plays a more highly skilled game and you want him to be a beast. He has kicked about 250 goals averaging 1.6/7 per goal per game and gets many if those goals are special ones that no other player gets regularly. Our forward line would be hopeless without Fritta and tell me how many goals you reckon are lost by Fritta not tabling as hard or chasing as far or ferociously. Short memories of Bailey being 2nd best on ground in the GFinal with six goals. And it does matter what mix of players you have in your forward line not all should be clones. Look for Fritta’s good points.
  19. And that does not include Kolt or Jeffo who I overlooked. Boy we would have to stuff things up badly for this lot not to be a vast improvement on our goal scoring of the last three years. This group has Finals potential written all over it. Please challenge my positivity.
  20. The spot for Windsor is in the centre where his running and class plus goal kicking potential would transfer along with Lindsay on the wing perhaps Sharp on the HFF our attack with Kossie Fritta JVR Turner ; not sure Petts will play forward and Petracca and Langford (all class both of them) our goal kicking potential is much higher with a better system devised by Chaplin also. Chandler McAdam ( if fit) .Petty and Bowey may provide extra depth on occasions. Even Newboy Johnson might develop his craft for a role at CHF or FF to provide ballast and physical strength enabling the smalls to shine. Also Lingers and Rivers will be dangerous either from sneaking down or long range to add even more scoring power. No rest for the defenders if all these parts and different role players are floating around. Room for Gawny as well!! Should be happy forward days ahead if our system is strong, mobile and fast paced.

Really The best thing might be for him to spend his time away from all of that and go with the Club he has loved since he was at state school .He has probably grown up ( as a very committed Dees fan) looking forward to playing on the MCG in the hub of footy. Its not easy but I certainly don’t share your half glass full idea for him with as much as enthusiasm. Think crowds at the G and compare vs Suns also. I think without being rude he might be better off in Melbourne away from all the family pressure doing what he has longed to do ever since being able to hold or kick a footy.
  22. No solution given except play ABAndC. The reason Riv is being introduced into our mis is that he is quicker and can play more outside and running. I don’t think it’s robbing a flanker so our half backs can evolve into AFL standard in McVee Salem AMW Bowey Howes and possibly Xavier Lindsay who like Hayden Young has blossomed at Freo. Potential improvement in those half backs given injury free runs.
  23. What about Trac ? And why so half glass about Xavier in 2025? I think he will adjust very well and expect he will play more than half the games in AFL in 2025.
