  1. Went to the game with a Tigers fan who admitted hasnt watched must Melbourne games over the last few years. His first impression of Spargo was he's too small, too slow and doesn't have an X-Factor. I then went on a passionate rant about how he's improved and adding to the team. It was like Demonland of Old meets Demonland of New.

I've been to 5 Demon Games this year, also arranging a weekend at Hotham (when we're playing interstate). Best of both worlds!
  3. Very happy to have Salo locked in for 5 years. Reckon given the games Viney has missed that one potentially too long. Harmes somewhat long but all depends what we're paying I guess. On a side note, Kozzy Pickett shares all the good news stories on his IG page, as he did with this one, so it seems he loves the club which is great
  4. Assume this may be the avenue they go down. He'll be 29 when this season wraps up and has another 12 months on good coin. Unless they potentially extend his contract and spread some of the 2022 salary to future years to alleviate some 2022 cap tightness? That being said just need to monitor how the forward line goes this year and look at needs/wants at end of the season.

I assume Steven May is made of titanium. The two concussions in quick succession an issue, wonder if we'll end up with two players wearing helmets. I like to call Gus 'Helmet' at times, so this would just confuse everything.

    Yes, they're running through this

Got a close row on Level 2, excited but cautious of the Tiges
  8. Loving him in the team, gives us so much versatility with Max being able to be sent to either end depending on the game; Jackson has been in 118 Ruck Contests this season (21st most) Won 59 of these (18th best) - So he's more than holding his own despite his inexperience. It's freed Maxy to just roam and do what he does best, take 16 contested marks (1st in League) and 16 intercept marks (9th) in League)
  9. Bolded the interesting part, will be curious to see if 2020 (9 wins) an outlier or a potential new norm. (I know there were hubs/no home games/shorter quarters and other issues), just mean that before the season started you'd have figured the 6th-12th group would be relatively close (more so than previous years IMO) and all taking wins from each other.

I like the royal blue on the away kit as such but I’d be much more likely to buy navy hat/polo/jacket than a royal blue piece of merchandise
  11. Yeh well done @Lucifer's Hero; i spend far too often looking at it so it's appreciated aha

Is it too early to look into the Grand Final Guarantee, LIDS OFF!
  13. Happy with his performances, so happy if he stays. a club may be interested in a resurgent T-Mac? We'd likely fit some bill but could alleviate some pressure. Then you'd imagine AVB/Jones will bow out which should create a bit more but uncertain what they'd be on. Guess it all comes down to how we fit Salem/Clayton in and if they're willing to sacrifice a bit for the common good. So we need a good season to convince them
  14. Poor Gryan Miers won't get to compete in this stat
  15. Definitely has the CV to help push through the new facility. All the best Kate, someone get her a new scarf!
  16. Interesting prospect. Wonder what it may mean for Bradke's long term development plan if we can grab him. Also by the time he's ready for draft, Kalani White will also be 54124cm tall based off Jeff's recent IG post.
  17. More so the Hospital was released from Steven May.
  18. UEFA ignore these clauses nowadays, uncertain if they would back then. ‘Both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match. It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned.” That’s what they said with Chelsea/Atletico situation about Courtois in 2014
  19. I like soccer loans for player development, but it's the world game with a pyramid league structure in numerous countries, the complete opposite to AFL really. Whilst it may help in some circumstances it'd generally cause more questions; How does it work with the cap/player numbers ? - Are they just injury replacements? Can they play their parent club? - What happens if the parent club needs back - some loans have clauses for call backs, Can he play for 2 teams in same season? If he is playing for 2 teams in 2 seasons they may as well institute a mid-season trade for professional players not just rookies. This again opens more questions, AFL should just confirm the mid-season rookie draft and let that be the issue. At the end of the day injuries happen and GC were given concessions for larger squads, relative tough luck.
  20. "How Dons missed Pickett, McDonald draft heist Joe Daniher’s initial trade request bombed out. But how different would life be for the Dons had they done the deal with Sydney?" Article on HS about Dons potentially missing Kozzy and Logan McDonald due to their reluctance to trade Danniher to Sydney. Good to be on the other side of these articles for a change.
  21. I almost did the same thing during COVID
  22. Are we going with Kozzie, Kozzy or Kossie. Seen the press use them all.
  23. Whoops someone else already posted the PERT link CARRY ON

Bayley has taken 9 marks inside the forward 50 after 2 games. Harsh to give him the boot even if his kicking a little off.
