A hopeful look at 2025 (from a pessimist)
the window isnt closed but the pack has caught up. 2022-2023 was there for the taking 2024 is a free for all - expecting 2025 to be similar, so a few tweaks and no reason why we can't be there. Especially as we've lost a few close ones this year.

Part 10: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2022
For an immediate impact rating Jeffo/Adams would be low but they may turn out to be important players down the line so its a difficult one to judge properly. So think you should definitely chuck an asterisk next to the number!

I have a good mate who is a Swans fan and he was pumping up JJ's tyres early in the season too much. I tried to cool his jets a bit by saying he's a reliable solid player who can play a role but not too damaging, think he's slowly agreeing with me.

Keep doing the Autoladder tipping on the Squiggle website and then getting angry at the machine.

What was your excuse?
Just delaying some work on this fine Monday and thought i'd look at some historical figures for home games vs GWS 2024 - Round 21- 16,246 2022 - Round 5 - 20,791 (long weekend) 2021 - Round 16 - 16,963 2019 - Round 10 - 20,023 2018 - Round 23 - 37,285 2016 - Round 1 - 28,505 2014 - Round 21 - 17,227 2013 - Round 4 - 20,018 2012 - Round 13 - 20,070 So Round 1 of 2016 (optimism) and Round 23 of 2018 (oh - are we finally good?) definitely boost the average. Also for reference @ Marvel/Etihad 2015 - Round 23 - 8,974

TRAINING: Friday 26th July 2024
It would be tough being a player in the modern age. Seen plenty of players of various sports disable comments and even delete their social media accounts due to abuse. It's not just hearing nonsense over the fence these days, there is no escaping it when it's in your pocket. If any player reads this - i am your fan, give 'em hell on the weekend.

Dan Houston
My main concern with the rejuvenation is the arrival of the Tasmanian team. We're still in the window now, but we're not leading the pack like we were last few years and lots of teams can now win the comp. So it would be a risk trading early picks for a player at this peak given whats on the horizon. But with trades like this, you can only judge the success depending on the future outcome. He'd definitely improve the team though

Grand Final Entertainment
The Copa America (South American soccer tournament) was held in USA this year. Half time for soccer is 15' but for the final this year they made it 25' as they had Shakira performing at half time. All about metrics, ratings and content now unfortunately.

Definitely the most hard working too. If they wanted Big Pop, assume Kylie would have been the better option. Would have given Tame Impala the gig ahead of KP, not sure how that would have gone down in a big stadium though.

I'm not against overseas acts, The Killers and Robbie Williams for example did a great job. Perry a bit of an odd choice. As much as I enjoy bands mentioned such as The Chats and King Stingray, not sure anyone at AFL HQ would deem them main event level. Imagine AFL HQ would knock back other bands such as King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

- The Run Home
The way we lost last week was very uninspiring for the run home, i am sure that has polluted some viewpoints. But this season has been odd, there will more twists and turns before finals. I can comfortably say I have no idea if we'll make finals. Imagine 6th to 12th will still be relatively close- Training Ground?
It has been very slow but still slowly moving. But this was a bit more ambitious as they're trying to build a suburb/residential hub in the midst of it too. "Essentially, Wyndham Council — the fastest-growing area in Australia — has given a 100-hectare paddock to the Western United team. The sale of the majority of the land to developers, beyond the land used for the stadium, will pay the up-front costs of the venue." The Regional Football Facility has been built and they train there and the women will play there next season, that holds a few thousand. The next stage of the project, led by WMG, will deliver a purpose-built, 15,000-capacity football stadium and 800-lot residential community, with WMG recently announcing YourLand Developments and Johnson Controls as major project partners. (Feb 2024)- Training Ground?
In positive news though I have just become a full member, hopefully the grand final access has not coincided with our window shutting!- Part 7: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2019
Wonder what needs to be done for a 10/10- PREGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS

I just did the autotipping on squiggle, top 7 was basically the same but just a minor difference of Port being in and Essendon out (which i much prefer tbh) 9th - Essendon 12 wins 1 Draw and 10-13 Melb, Gold, Hawks on 12 wins 13 - Collingwood I am sure the computer will change it mind each week though as this season been too hard to predict.- PREGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
Surprised people are calling for Chandler to be dropped. Our forward line wasn't the issue on the weekend and Chandler played a decent enough (not great) game. 2 Goals (=1st for Dees) , 5 Score Involvements (=2nd for Dees), 4 Tackles (=2nd for Dees), 3 tackles inside 50 (1st for Dees) 27 pressure acts (=3rd for Dees), 6th for our meters gained etc. - The Run Home
