2025 List and Contract Details
He's turning 29 in December. Contract expires end of next season, so will be 30 in December 2026. Think that is what is meant to say.

Time to experiment
I would love to either a) cost Hawthorn a spot in the 8 b) cost Collingwood a spot in the top 4 c) both So not so much experimenting from me then, raise hell fellas

Trade Targets
For every Billings, McAdam there is a Jordon and Bedford though, so its a calculated risk

Trade Targets
We do need another small forward, depends on the price. At least he'd stop taking screamers against us.

Training Ground?
It was, then it wasn't. Then the National Trust came in and tried to stop Richmond knocking it down. But Richmond starting talking about it helping local community, women's football, indigenous groups and foundations and it was a battle they'd never win.

Trade Targets
It's been suggested St Kilda have made that offer. Going all guns blazing for TDK and Reid? Will cost them NAS. Throwing the cash everywhere, thats why Cal Wilkie is upset Leek Aleer (8 games) will be getting paid as much as he is.

The most likely tall forward and tall defender combo
It's an interesting problem to be in when looking at short term v long term. We definitely seem a bit lobsided in terms of players who are probably best suited to the backline. Jeffo/JvR haven't developed as well as we would have liked. Still hope for the them though. Kentfield with a good pre-season might flourish. Derksen prob comes in for Hore. If Tmac doesnt go around again perhaps could make a move for Mihocek - but that isn't that long term either. Wonder what the long term plan for Kalani is (assuming he signs on the dots).

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Exactly, they are the highest scoring team in the league for a reason and we made them earn a win.

May to Tribunal
I still don't think he "tackled" him either, smacked heads and his arms had no where else to go whilst running.

May to Tribunal
The incident involving Hawthornโs Jai Newcombe and Collingwoodโs Jeremy Howe from the First Quarter of Thursday nightโs match was assessed by the Match Review Officer. Newcombe and Howe approach a loose ball from opposite directions and as the ball bounces towards and into the possession of Howe, Newcombe elects to tackle and in this attempt to tackle, a head clash occurs. It was the view of the MRO that Newcombeโs attempt to tackle was not unreasonable in the circumstances and did not constitute a Reportable Offence. No further action was taken.

They keep saying he was trying to tackle, reckon thats just an automatic reaction after the collision and not a tackle.

Welcome to Demonland Bailey Laurie
I think it makes sense when looking at the larger picture, we have several players on big salaries and a bit of a salary crunch and needs elsewhere to address. You need some lower paid players. We needed some cheap depth, the 3rd year for him was extra security and an economic decision for us.

Training Ground?
Watched a game at that ground recently, ground not in a good space - players slipping all over the place. Glad we escaped injury

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Campbell
In the premier league the 3rd keeper often an old journeyman who never plays. Seems we have imported this tradition.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Simon Goodwin Sacked
It's been a long day and I thought you meant Luke Jackson at first.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Wonder how many agents would recommend an an annual $400,000 pay cut to their clients.
-
Simon Goodwin Sacked
I think the next person to be sacked is me based off the amount of time I spent on the forum today.

I think it's been a difficult season to judge. Goodie was talking performances over results, but performances have been wildly inconsistent (as has our kicking!) At the end of the day we have 7 wins, 4 of which against the bottom 3 teams. But we also beat Brisbane at the Gabba so who knows what this team is - and that's part of the problem.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
Out of curiosity, what is the main difference between now and in 3 weeks time.
-
Simon Goodwin respect thread.
Big respect for ending the drought AND ending it in that manner with 3 demolition jobs. Got a bit squeaky for a bit against the dogs but this team just put the foot down. Not sure a team has had a September that dominant before.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Received a message from a pal who supports another team, wrote "Maybe itโll make you watchable now". I know we're trying to move on from the way we used to play but still interesting to see how others view our team.
