DELIST: Hannan, Hunt, OMcDonald, Smith, CWagner, JWagner RETIRE: Jones, Jetta, Kolodjashnij UPGRADE: Lockhart TRADE BAIT: TMcDonald (Ess/Haw/Gee/Coll/Dogs), ANB (good luck finding anyone), VDB (sydney as per 2yrs ago?) DELIST TO RE-ROOKIE: Neitschke
  2. OUT: OMcDonald, Smith, Jones, Wagner, Melksham IN: Lockhart, Hibberd, Bennell, Bedford, Pickett
  3. yes ANB is not a long term solution and fritta has been poor but we have to work week to week here and ANB did some good things and there isnt an obvious in to replace him
  4. i dont think baker is going to cut it at afl level. hes a hunt 2.0 quick boi with not much footballing ability. happy to be proven wrong tho...
  5. have you ever played football. ive never played in a team that doesnt break into their 3 lines at a break and discuss in their groups what they need to do better and what worked before coming together for the full team address
  6. OMac, Wags and Jones have sealed their fate. Last game in red and blue for the 3 of them. Smith i thought played his role really well on papley but still not enough to hold his spot. Melksham has run out of chances for the time being and we're far too slow to react in the forward 50 ZERO movement. Lockhart May Lever Salem Tomlinson Hibberd Langdon Viney Bennell Fritsch Weideman Harmes Pickett Brown Spargo Gawn Oliver Petracca Brayshaw Neal-Bullen Rivers Bedford OUT: Smith, McDonald, Jones, JWagner, Melksham IN: Lockhart, Hibberd, Bennell, Pickett, Bedford

Great year to have a long term injury, Hore Petty Neitschke watching on as everyone else plays themselves out of a new contract around them
  8. absolutely smashed it here however stiff on spargo imo hes still young enough to have an impact and his pressure has been up this year from what ive seen
  9. Gawny and OMac are like best pals, he's always taking the [censored] out of him on his poddy, seems to be very aware of his below average footballing ability. Also everyone saying he has good 1on1 defending and disposal surely must be aware how slow he is mind and body. makes decisions like a sloth and got lucky v saints that his man didnt clunk a few more and kick straight. and u cant be serious, papley would love this matchup jones would never catch him

i believe it should be B: Tomlinson OMac Rivers HB: Salem May Lever C Langdon. Petracca Harmes HF: Fritsch. Weideman Melksham FF: Spargo Brown. ANB R: Gawn Oliver Viney INT: Jones Brayshaw Smith (FWD) JWagner But i can see any combination of Harmes Tomlinson and Smith in any half of the ground except Smith in a wing
  11. i think we've proved if anything this season that fritsch melksham and hannan dont fit into the same team and instead we need a third genuine small pressure player beside kozzie and spargs. hannan id say is 30:70 for a contract next season and melkshams form has been down. so gunston could fit in the side next to fritsch probably instead of melky as i see it
  12. he's sort of as proven as TMac at first thought, broke through as a defender got swung forward for one season and kicked a bag but his output this year has been ordinary in terms of scoreboard i'd have to delve into the stats before i fully considered him. think id still prefer Pete Wright at this point
  13. former teammate of mine Rowy loves the peninsula he'd be lapping up every minute of life on bondi, not to mention hes been there number 2 mid all season. he'll be there the long run

imo its pretty obvious this week Hannan makes way for Fritsch OMac for Lockhart AVB out for Harmes if necessary; Hibberd (inj) for Bennell or Jetta depending on where you want to play Tomlinson against small swans
  15. essendon collingwood hawthorn might consider
  16. jenkins doesnt play. steven is a 4 time best and fairest definitely improves ur side dramatically, dahlhaus is a premiership player and top 10 in the league for his position and role comfortably. rohan ill pay but still u cant say atkins would be a lock in our side for 22 games a season as rohan is
  17. disagree entirely, when have you seen geelong target anyone who is out of favour or 50;50 to improve the side over the last 5-10 years same deal with hawthorn for the most part too. If we want to upgrade outside pace or any position for that matter it has to be target the top otherwise we will see no growth and stagnate as a mid table side, wasting what good players we've got. If we want a player who "may" become best 22 thats where u target the draft ie Rivers is a hit and can play that role just as well as RAtkins will in the future but maybe not as well as your Phillips, Williams, Hunter, Polec types who we've been linked to. Replacing Hunt and ANB with Atkins who doesn't have any extra upside is silly imo but a 21yo with potential to grow thats a swap i'd be willing to accept. https://www.afl.com.au/news/488416/brilliant-or-bust-how-bold-power-shook-off-mid-ladder-blues this article is a beautiful reference as to what we must follow. if you play supercoach youll be farmiliar with the term guns and rookies. Same applies to actual football lists, you dont target mid tier players if you want to move forward
  18. firstly Matt rowell was a grammar school boy and hes the best player ive ever played with so go shove it and Nibbler is not suited to Adelaide they literally just let Ratkins walk whos a year older with 30 more games. Nothing young about ANB
  19. Lads, reading this thread has been the best start to my weekend. its so amusing scrolling through the waffle some of you lot spit out. IMO the team we selected is very satisfactory. Gawn for Preuss yes obviously. TMac out for Brown, yes. The modern day key forward has to be agile athletic, he's not that and his form has not warranted selection, easy wins carried him through selection for the last month. Brown can offer alot more than an Optus Weagles game is ever going to suggest and definitely can pinch in the ruck, so it's ok, Weid will be in the goalsquare. Fritsch knows his error, redeemed himself booting "4 or 5 or 6" in the scratch match, we'll be seeing him next week (for hannan imo). But definitely cant fit him, melky and hannan in one side. We definitely needed Rivers speed, the Harmes move to midfield for Sparrow and Rivers back made sense. Jones is welcomed back and when Harmes returns next week i think AVB makes way. OMac will be straight back out for Sydney and Freo where the matchups arent favourable and we can look forward to Hore/Petty in his role next season. JWags is just filling a hole and wont be around for much longer let him play who cares, Lockhart clearly needed a rest in the coaches opinion and there wasnt an obvious replacement except Jets who i personally woulda loved to have seen with the occasion and all. Lets all just relax, enjoy the boys cracking in without too much expectation (cmon lets be realistic) and hopefully goody shows some emotion for a change
  20. the only position on the ground we do have options in is midfield. So hately, caldwell, o'halloran, smith all wont move. Briggs wont come as theres an opening as u said at gws however i can see potentially preuss heading there. ballard wont leave hes loving it especially with rory thompson doing another knee wright is definitely a shout tho and i also rate cumming Dunkley we have about zero of his type as on outside mid so idk what ur on about there bradtke is only 20 and outside the salary theyll persevere. also baker is contracted as is KK but could see a payout here spargo is handy and young enough that he could still show something as if anyone would look at nibbler tho
  21. BENNELL RIVERS ???
  22. why not both. especially if list sizes r cut. Williams comes on a free and a straight swap just about works for both players and clubs as they have a serious log jam of talented players trying to stay on the list
  23. It shows some people have no idea about football. Let me draw a comparison here. One Gryan Miers from geelong is a third year forward. He has played just about every game since the start of last year it takes patience and development. We've been good for years at letting players stagnate in the twos and dropping and repicking places rashly. You've already written off pickett after 13 weeks. Bedford hasnt even reached the end of his initial draft contract yet and hes already not worth ur time. Youve gotta trust the process. and Spargo has done an ok job but whats dropping him gonna do to his self-confidence? how does he learn to play afl footy without actually running out in the side? and tomlinson is welcome in my back half ahead of oscar and smith any day bro youve brought hannan into a side hes already in... face palms and youve played a five man bench...
  24. id be looking at an Isaac cummings off HB for the giants was picked round 1 pre lockdown clearly they know hes skilled then dropped and has been out with a hammy since 4yrs in the system could be a handy pickup
  25. OUT: Sparrow, Preuss, Hannan, AVB, TMac IN: Bennell, Gawn, Bedford, Rivers, Brown with Harmes to take that midfield role off Sparrow and a genuine small forward in Bedford a better option than the marking type Hannan. Wouldnt be surprised if Jetta comes in as well as rivers maybe instead of a bennell type due to st kildas speed in Fwd half
