he hasnt done so in 6 years what makes u think year 7 will be any different? and who are u taking out of the 22 to put him in anyway. imo a balanced list seems to be about 4 KPPs per end so May, Petty, Tomlinson, Turner you'd think would be plenty, 3 first team and one developing, same as the forward line Brown, TMac, Weid, MBrown and id suggest we draft a tall like mac to develop while we have a good selection to take mbrowns spot

fair to say jsmith wasnt the resigning i was expecting at all let alone 4 weeks before the end of the season especially as he was one of the last to get a deal last season when we were tossing up he or OMac. must be playing for a packet of chips/part of his dads compo. particularly with the versatile declase and developing tall turner on board now but oh well fair play to him must be doing something right

i thought the signing of turner in particular and also declase might spell an end for our sos and yet it has not. would still prefer a 32yo MBrown in the forward line to him and we have tomo to come back next season, strange strange decision for mine

jones is absolutely the way to go in the vest for the finals from a romaticism side of things he deserves it and we should try and get him there, but the best option imo to cover all bases is declase for sure, 194cm can play tall and a wingman so he can find the footy, run and kick but if we lost a genuine tall we wouldn't be completely hurt by it

i honestly don't think Trac makes it this season, i think it is he OR oliver not both and i think oliver has had the superior year. with midfielders if you're the best in your side you attract so much of the footy and stand out more easily. i think its hard to go past Bont, Oliver, Lyons, Walsh (W), Wines, Touk, Macrae (W), Parish without throwing him to a cheeky flank, but imo probably hasn't starred as much as some people seem to think. he'd be more in the guthrie, mccluggage, steele, discussion which is more your 40 squad but miss the cut. did half of us ever think tmac was going to have the revival he did no, ffs tmac wasn't even playing forward when he was the age weid is now. so u can dead set kid yaself elsewhereif you're writing him off as a footballer right now. theres plenty of season left and plenty of footy ahead of weid too

i think he'll stay, a 2yr deal on no where near the money we previously offered him or he wanted and if after next year he hasn't pushed tmac out of the side which could still happen given tmac wasnt much better today then he might leave. but he wont want to leave on a multi year deal coz his value is at its lowest he won't get paid much at all anywhere
