  1. https://afl.draftcentral.com.au/player/andy-moniz-wakefield/ a bit more information on the kid, if we can get him as a cat B i think it'd be a good get given chandler/bedford are yet to really stamp themselves as afl grade small forwards and laurie more of an up the ground type AMW i think would be more of a deeper player hopefully loves the tackle once he bulks up
  2. clubs i'd have in the "in need of a developing ruck" conversation would be Adelaide, Carlton, Gold Coast, Melbourne, StKilda, WB
  3. you've also got OUT -senior twice and no OUT -rookie
  4. i understand it for the time being with covid budget cuts and players being owed money and clubs having to juggle it around but i completely agree that from 2023 onwards it should be set to either remotely for u21s OR only for first time afl players ie no age limit but they have to be recruited form outside the afl and after three years maximum as it is its up or out
  5. woulda kept them both if up to me, Joel smith has had more chances impressed less and been more injury prone than hore, he would've been out the door for mine
  6. if Andy Moniz-Wakefield gets through the national draft we can add him immediately as a cat b rookie assuming we nominated him which would be handy
  7. yeh wasn't that the whole point of the thread that he was training with us because he was eligable
  8. theres absolutely no way blayne o'laughlin gets all the way to 62 he's looked really composed in the last two months for SA out of the back half and when he starts getting the wheels going he'll be a weapon, also if he gets that deep, this guy has gone sentimental and given him to the swans but he's a crows NGA prospect and if he's on the board at 63 there's no way they won't take him
  9. how did deakin qualify as an NGA was he indigenous or does he have roots elsewhere?
  10. i can see, and for some reason this thought didn't come to me until yesterday when i sort port and the tiges do it, we might delist hore and declase and then re-rookie hore, committing to him immediately he's had a rough two years but played consistent afl football in his first season so they must like what he can do, granted that was three years ago and we've definitely improved since then but there's worse depth going around than marty
  11. can't kick or run, essentially not useless but a liability once the ball exits the stoppage, would only really be able to play like a traditional doesn't-leave-the-centre-square centreman roll where he dishes off to running HBs and transitioning players by hand
  12. interesting so ed has us bidding on windhager, we do have a history of bids tbf
  13. the only ones who have really stood out to me are the two who delisted themselves/retired jarrod cameron and irving mosquito, think that it's a spot on the list where we are weakest/easiest to break into and these boys clearly have talent just it seems not the desire which is a real shame, i wonder if a darwin franchise would help keep these boys in the league longer while also maintaining connections with their roots and be closer to family (i know they aren't from darwin but its a lot closer than melbourne or perth is)
  14. not to get ahead of ourselves, but here's an early '22 look. particular interest in the height of ed's first round prospects, great for us with all our talls around the 29-31 bracket
  15. next year is meant to be a super tall draft so watch for clubs in need of talls including us with as u said all our talls over 28yo to maybe go smaller and pass up this year with eyes on next years crop. also couldn't help but notice literally all the SA/WA prospects you had going to home state clubs, i don't think it'll pan out that way most clubs victorian and interstate have no issue drafting across the country and backing in their system to hold the player
  16. and matt spangher was levels above nick riewoldt
  17. was it cerra or dawson?
  18. is a forum footy game an actual game of football or some sort of digital/online competition. coz if its the former id like to volunteer

heard of Will ashcroft of the lions f/s as a potential top 5er so far
  22. ok someone help me i'm confused, the blues have recontracted Kennedy, Honey, Parks, Boyd, OMac as rookies, plus have another 12 months of Mirkovs 18month mid season rookie contract, plus have committed to rookie-ing Cottrell and Lochie O'Brien... that makes 8 Cat A rookies??? impossible? illegal? unless they plan on upgrading 2 of them to the senior list? but why wouldn't they announce that now or not delist LOB who's already senior listed and just sign him back to the senior list? doesn't make sense to me
  23. i think it'll go to dunstan plain and simple
  24. ok you definitely can't leave the decision until after the draft, unless you delist them and then invite them to train on over preseason to win back their spot which seems like a strange thing to do
  25. pre finals i saw Sparrow inheriting the 2 - i think a clean move from 32 woulda made sense and similar player to Jones but now he's won a flag he might keep the 32, besides cam bruce isn't the worst player to follow. i can definitely see Dunstan in the 2 and i'm not opposed to it
