am i right in saying if we nominate him and get no bids in the national draft he gets added to the list as a category B rookie? same as jiath at hawthorn and khamis at the doggies in recent years? because if thats the case we wouldn't have a rookie spot for a train on SSP player? as we'd have 6 listed rookies so if farmer is any chance at joining then we're ruling out a DFA/train on player and taking a full quota in the national draft or we're picking him at 50 and keeping a train on spot free? or am i completely wrong

Kobe Farmer
do we have any idea why theres not a single piece of info on him in a single article discussing club tied players https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-draft-2020-nominations-blake-coleman-josh-eyre-reef-mcinnes-father-son-academy-bidding-system/news-story/3117e9c4af11b92368a7df96739d72cb not a single word on our boy at all

2020 Delisted Free Agents
didn't know which thread was most appropriate but how about the news tyson goldsack after a year out is going to unretire and join port as a rookie! pretty spectacular news considering they gave trent mckenzie 2yrs, signed aliir for 4 and still have clurey and jonas back there but hey, good on him for resurecting a career which maybe he had less say in ending than "retirement" suggests

nothing special? if a player is contributing that much to the scoreboard from that many disposals and with that much defensive pressure they can easily be nurtured and maximised in an afl environment!!!

Jordon & Nietschke Rookies in 2021
1 as Bradtke (B) takes the 5/6 spot likely we carry it over for SSP next january
-
Are we finished yet?
i was going tosay yesterday that benny gibsons article re neita and JJ didnt mention DFA's when it said why we were demoting them but did mention all other avenues of adding players to lists. I hope there are some DFA's we're sussing but surely its risky to let them slide through the draft process particularly Egg

unclear no longer ;)

Players from other clubs ...the best of?
Bris: Mitch Clark Ess: Melksham bout the only alternatives i can think of, Lumumba unlikely. lot more players move from melbourne elsewhere than come in in recent years which is surprising
-
Are we finished yet?
he'd only been there two? he joined last January i thought it was 44... yes and that spot we'll likely carry for SSP. so 4 draft picks, 1 DFA and then no live rookie picks but 1 train on spot left free it seems

it makes absolutely no sense why we would demote him and promote lockhart, either way the same amount is being paid outside the cap why not just leave them on the lists they were on? we didn't give lockhart any longer deal to force him up either. baffled

he is purely a victim of circumstances, well and truly entrenched in the best 22 this season but they only had very few OOC players after their initial list changes.no doubt players like giro, switkowski, colyer etc had they been ooc would have been move instead but as he was ooc he had to drop down. theyll find a way to take him straight back up next season

Farewell Oscar McDonald
it would also be a sentimental thing, obviously he was kinda forced to retire he didnt announce it till 3 weeks after the season and the only club he would come out of retirement for would be the one his late uncle was famous for. i guess he's thinking this is my way of honouring him and pulling on the colours in his memory

jacob townsend is one of the great survivors and the suns are still just the placed to go when no one else will give u a contract. and i thought CEllis, Horlin-Smith, Miles and aaron young out was the end of those type of deals for them but markov, atkins and now townsend are such stinky signings + theyre still carrying hombsch, holman (who has been serviceable) and jordon murdoch (ik who right). they dont need 49 list spots if one of them is going to jacob townsend ffs

Club lists finalised with further signings
so technically yes because a player is removed from that 44 and placed as inactive and u recruit someone to fill there place meaning at the end of the season u will have to bring your numbers back down under the 44 for the next season. so 2 LT injuries and a retirement would technically give u a squad of 47 but you'd have to cut back extras that offseason

Lewis Jetta delisted by the Eagles
for the player you're getting there are plenty of better players being tossed out of the system atm who are younger with upside for a similar output. egg smith and cox in particular, we already have experienced players in that part of the ground in hibbo, nev, may, jones we dont need any more vet leaders, we need talented players to grow with the group for the next 5 years
