Club lists finalised with further signings

hore definitely a shout too. well and truly in the mix just because a player is yet to debut doesn't mean they will give us nothing. using ur logic we may as well not even have a draft. u gotta actually put time into players and nurture them. not everyone is clarry oliver. imo Jetta, Jones, KK, vanders, ANB are the five obvious outs, MBrown and chandler off the rookie list too, then another crack at shifting TMac or smith goes instead. and we look at Jkelly, lipinski, tippa, stack as potential targets i can see from this far out -
this is like some kind of soft porn, we can only dream
-
damn! this woulda been a really good get, in that cal ah chee mold, could rebound off half back with a neat kick or play a pressure forward role. shame coz i reckon we coulda convinced him to stay beyond the 2 as well with a spot in the team there for the taking. i guess he'll either sign a 1yr deal and request a move again next year or be delisted and hinge gets that final spot coz he's a more reliable choice long term?
-
i'll take it to my grave, but next year is the big one. i can easily see 13 outs and a big FA/trade target or two. but i smell something brewing.
-
we just lost his understudy to freo tho i saw them tweet about it, forget the name now but a highly respected figure in the field nonetheless
-
psst, u left the ('A') status on lockhart ;)

u can't just delist a contracted player and put him on a different contract structure outside the total budget. hopefully and likely he has a lot of match bonuses in his deal and a low starting salary anyway. plus being able to make him inactive gives us an extra list spot anyway so whether he's senior or rookie listed makes no difference -
terrible timing by me ahaha
-
only 1 live rookie pick assuming we re-list nietschke until KK is made inactive that is and then we will have a SSP spot available

and we're all locked and loaded pre draft - happy with all these deals, few boys playing for their future in 21 tho ? https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/837653/five-demons-sign-on-for-2021 -
concerning for him that he's our only OOC player atm according to mitch cleary on afl.com.au's latest update
-
i'm very confused with their thinking re bedford and chandler? do we know if chandler has been training/developing forward or back i hear mixed reports because if theyre both forwards why are we recontracting the one who didnt play a game and not the one who did or alternatively why did one play games if he isnt as worthy of a list spot going forward as the one who didnt. it would make sense that Chandler is playing back with Hore, KK, nietschke injured this year long term and jetta seemingly falling off a cliff. we didnt have any real depth bar lockhart. would explain the harmes decision too a bit
-
wrong, bedford and still no official word on bradtke but we can assume he will fulfil the 3rd year of cat b rookie status especially with our ruck depth
-
he [censored] supermodels, shot bad dudes and drive nice cars? or was that james i get them confused ?
-
at this rate we will resign both on the senior list and have 4 picks at the draft with our current hand, re-rookie mbrown, lockhart and nietschke and then decide whether to re-rookie chandler too or take a rookie draft pick and then we will fill 1/2 B spots with bradtke
-
probably should have called time but i have so much respect for how he's carried us and as people have said if anyone deserves 300 its him
-
no it will be evenly distributed between himself AVB and hunt :)))
-
also worth noting Bradtke wasn't listed in an official afl.com.au website about every clubs OOC around grand final week, its been linked in here before so might not expect any formal announcement about it
-
idk why everyone is so outraged by keeping mbrown, petty is absolutely going back next year potentially tmac too and tomlinson back to a wing over pre season and into the opening month. and if we delist mbrown we're going to have to draft a mature ruck anyway so we may as well follow the st kilda model of playing two flexible ruck/forwards instead particularly bcoz we need to manage jacksons load in the ruck
-
if i asked who would u prefer as a rookie jay lockhart or derek eggmolesse-smith who would u all pick
-
Yeh no i do agree with that but we cant get a head start because we don't have the list space atm, i agree with wagners and its a healthy FA market with zerrett/jelly as outside players off the top of the head. glad to know ur not big on hunt (can't believe he's gonna be a 9yr player when his deals up!!!!) we'll trade back into the first round for our future first again next year and the year after that and so forth
-
the list will turn over dramatically next year, further reductions, 3 impending retirements, 2 players coming OOC that we happily shopped around late this year and up to 4 players with a combined 4 games from the 2018 draft on the block too, throw in other NQR players on the list and i can see a couple big FA/trade moves on the cards for us. Alternatively we could do what we always do and sign half of them up for another season ;) i think he will move on after next season and we will draft another tall then. also if ur complaining about battlers wasting space i'd love to know how u saw hunts 2yr deal off the back of 6 games for the season? and what u expect him to deliver over those two years
-
definitely more suited to a HB spot pushing riv or salo up imo, i'd potentially give him a year if no other DFA's appeal to us, certainly good depth if nieta doesnt come back and we know nev is in decline, and KK is not an option. with a lack of depth in that area but i'd prefer hore got a chance but if hibbo does start to really slow down it could be handy, wouldn't expect him to play many games however. Egg-Smith has done his 3yrs on the rookie list at richmond so will have to be delisted and re-rookied or upgraded (to a bulging snr list) so if he became available he would be my preference. + i'm a big narkle fan too at the other end of the ground. would definitely have the chat to him tho, may not move at 31 for 1 season with a young family and look to take on a mentorring or indigenous support role off field over there in the west maybe alongside jamie bennell instead
-
i disagree, this year he refused to even crash packs and lead up at the footy dont care how heavy u are u can at least put effort in. and if his foot wasn't right well why did he play at all. re dunny, i think the time was right given the direction of the club to look at a younger promising alternative who was the same age profile as the rest of the list, just a shame that Omac didnt come on the way we would have liked, its a shame we flicked frosty and not Omac when we had the chance last summer but the correct decision has been made now and its over to u Mr Petty to make CHB ur own because i've seen enough of Smith back there for now
-
why is it necessary to try and take some sort of moral high ground like you've never muttered a single bad word about anybody before in ur life. people are allowed to express their displeasure at players performance and skills and acknowledge when changes are made as a result because ultimately were all after the ultimate success and we like seeing the club take steps to reach that
