I would be far more interested in Sam Reid from the Swans.... He has just about the best hands in the comp, is out of contract now and can add at least 8 kg's to his frame. Watts, Reid and Jurrah getting the third defender would be unstoppable in a few years. If you don't know what I am talking about, just watch the Swans when they play next. Reid is going to be a top 3 KPP in the league.

Trent McKenzie is so close to being my fav non-dees player it's crazy. Would love it if he was at Melbourne!

Im not saying 'let's get him'.... However if we decide he is the type of player we could use to release Davey a bit more then I hope all of us would support him completely.

He will get picked up by an AFL team next year.... He was twice the player that Kraks ever was and he is playing well at Collingwood. Alot of teams will look at his pace, skills and endurance as a major plus in their teams going forward. Naturally GWS come to mind but so do Carlton and West Coast, to 'on the cusp' teams who could use his dash.

I think this thread will prove that the majority of football fans have short memories and the fact he was sacked by a dud team must mean Craig is a dud.... He gets his players fit and strong fast, plus teaches them about playing with passion. He lost his playing group but that happens to many great coaches. Definately won't be our coach, as he has said he is an Adelaide man for life in any capacity they want him. However it continues to press the argument, is Dean Bailey the man? Lack of options is helping his cause.... As the poster a few above me said, 4 years, beating only 2 vic teams is not good enough. We have a pretty decent spin team at Melbourne. I for one am not sold either way when it comes to Bailey, which is probably the biggest problem. I keep remembering that we are young, inexperienced and we will get there... But then I remember, this is his 4th year. 4 years is a looong time in football.

Clearly Demonlanders haven't watched alot of Bernie Vince.... Would walk into our midfield. He has had injury issues this season and had rumoured disagreement with the way Neil Craig has handled the team. Would love Bernie Vince at the dees. Still young!

Couldn't care less anymore.... if he goes he goes.... It's like if you were in year 12, you broke up with your misses and were sad for a few months. But suddenly it's 8 weeks left of school and you just want it to finish so you don't have to see the stupid thing anymore.

As I said earlier... Pretty confident Davey will play. Up forward at the talls feet.

Joel Mac will come straight back in as well.... Wouldn't be suprised to see Davey played at FP.

I think people are taking a month and a half of bad form in what has been a great career and eventual build into a star midfielder. Davey should play in the middle with stints up forward. That is it....

Has nothing to do with his 'brothers'.... He is just going through a form slump, nothing more or less. Every single sportsman in every single sport in every single country at one point in their careers has a bad month or 2. Liam will turn it around, let's just persist and not complain about it. It's about the big picture, we need LJ firing, he needs to find form in the AFL. That is why he was moved onto the ball yesterday, to get him involved a bit more so next week he feels better about himself.

Couldn't you make an argument that David Hille could play as a FF?

I personally do not want to see Bailey go... And I think we have the smallest, slightest, tiniest chance at ever landing Paul Roos so attempting to lure him may be a negative to this current season. However if we have a legitimate chance to land a premiership coach who any moron would have to regard as one of the best in the land and who brings a list together as a team better than anybody else... Well you would have to do it... Surely. Paul Roos commands respect from players in the same way that only Malthouse, Matthews, Sheedy and Bomber Thompson have been able to in recent times.

That is an important thing to remember... However it is also important to remember that football changes very very very quickly. The last thing we want is to be the team left behind and you would have to say at this current moment we do seem behind the 8 ball when it comes to forward pressure and forward spacing when going forward. There are holes in our game plan, and while adding talent such as Scully and Mckenzie will help us, it may only be a bandage to a far more serious problem. I for one am happy for the club to do as many reviews as they want, it is always important to stay 1 step ahead.

Paul Roos and Grant Thomas are experts.... Both have said in recent weeks that we seem to be behind the 8 ball and our game plan doesn't suit the modern game.... Take your blinkers off mate
