Cornes Staggered By Dees Decisions
It has to be said - if he deprives a fire of O2 by being an O2 thief himself, he would indeed be quite an effective firefighter

Billy Stretch
Because Billy's brain doesn't move fast enough. He's one of the slowest decision makers I've seen.

Iām just as upset as anyone we are losing pick 2, but to say gold coast donāt deserve any help right now (as many clubs, include or own, have received in the past) is just wrong. If we didnāt make finals in 2018 thereād be a case for us to get a priority this year, and Iām sure youād be relishing that if it were the case. regardless of where you stand on the latest expansion teams, for the sake of the game do you really want Gold Coast to not improve at all? The game benefits not from having a team that gets smashed every week.

MFC are the last club that should be complaining about this. Our list has been equally mismanaged for even longer than theyāve been around and weāve had our fair share of priorities. A stone best left unturned for us.

Minor rant
Iām guessing with the new age of football media Where every player is expected to be able to stare down the barrel of a camera and talk to potentially millions of people that some tend to overcompensate with the thesaurus. Itās annoying but itās better than hearing NRL players say ācredit to boysā 18 times in 4 sentences. It is well documented on here that the adjective āobviouslyā being used in every sentence drives me insane.

Iāve watched 5 decades of failure!
Itās so nice to see some refreshing topics to discuss on this forum. This is exactly the type of thread demonland has been missing. Bravo!

Lever Making the Most of the Off-Season
Natural leader of men, well spoken and can really play A good choice for captain

Willie Rioli Suspended for 2 years
Someone mind summarising this for me? Sugar is bad for you too. Maybe we should start testing for that. And women, wouldnāt want the players to get distracted and hurt themselves. What if it were legally prescribed?

Willie Rioli Suspended for 2 years
While weāre on the topic, why on earth should they ever test for weed? Silly stuff

MFC Mission Statement???
A mission statement does not define the logic of the plan, it outlines it. I would consider that to be more high level than low level, but this comparison isn't sound in principal anyway so take it as you will.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
Pure speculation at best, executed in 2 cryptic sentences designed to have people like us talk about it/get triggered. This is a basic revenue raising strategy for online advertising profit. People like Barrett and Cornes exist purely for this purpose.

Sam Frost - Contract status
Not an unreasonable position to take either, but I have faith.

MFC Mission Statement???
Well in my profession as an engineer, low-level design documentation on how we will achieve success appeals to me more. Not that this type of document would ever be made public, but you get my point.

The Business Case
Nice analysis @Queanbeyan Demon. I wonder which Department you're currently contracting to as a BA ...

Mad monday celebrations
Anyone who says the boys don't deserve a mad Monday are a-holes of the highest order. Yes, we didn't get many results this year - but these blokes work incredibly hard all year, and to say they don't deserve to blow off some steam at the end of the year and have a laugh is reserved only for those who think the worlds revolves around them. You've never had a bad year in your career? Maybe you should exclude yourself from the end of year party when the boss puts his corporate credit card on the bar when you do. Let it out boys, have fun, big summer ahead.

Sam Frost - Contract status
not worried about levers kicking. he's all class, just down on confidence like the rest of the team this year. he just needs an uninterrupted pre-season at this point and he'll be fine.

MFC Mission Statement???
Right, so a bunch of generic buzzwords on paper will solve all our problems? Yawn.

You make a good point, I'm leaning toward your point of view on reflection

What to do with Nathan Jones
Fully agree. However, maybe this could change if he is no longer captain and replaced by powerful leaders in the mould of Lever etc. In that case, if he falls into file and just plays his role - maybe, just maybe, we can still use him. Other than that, he can play at Casey and be handy depth.

Happy with this if it means pushing May forward.

What to do with Nathan Jones
Look, he's gonna be on low coin, happy for him to play another year - but that has to include a lot of time in Casey because if we are to bounce back and do any sort of damage next year, Jonesy cant be in our best 22 every single week. A great clubman, I have nothing but admiration and respect for what hes achieved (not a huge amount of talent, a hell of a lot of hard work, determination and dedication), but he must be considered a depth player if we're being serious next year. He sets a good example to the younger guys that you can work hard and get the most out of yourself if you want to, even without god gifted talent. Jones to Casey, and to play up 10 games in various roles filling in for injuries. These roles can include small forward, high half forward or in the guts.

Good on ya mate

REQUEST: A club-wide review
Has anyone actually considered attending the AGM to raise their grievances? Or is it just easier to vent on a forum and never actually do anything about it.
