I reckon we have 1-3 years left at the top with the current list and that's not counting on a few coming through from Casey plus McAdam and other new recruits. Basically plenty of kicking drills in the off season actually changing our style to lower eyes and kick to someone in a better position. To many times we have spare players all alone in the forward half and basically ignore them. Simple task to fix IMO but it seems no one at the club wants to do.

Reckon it's ripe for the Lions taking. They should belt a banged up Blues and will beat Pies or Giants in GF.

Reckon he makes the whole back line look better and more balanced.

Really need ALL players to practise their kicking skills, learn to lower their eyes and hit up our open players. Do that and this years cup would have been ours. Then another one is for Goody to not make silly selections like last Friday which has been flogged to death.

Only one way to fix these [censored] and that is to make the big dance hopefully against the Pies and beat them by 1 point. Then watch Eddie and his sons have a cry and say they were robbed. Wouldn't that be nice.

Gee, all this stuff from posters that we are going to get tough and hurt players because Maynard got off is laughable. Who in the hell from our team other than Viney will show any aggression. We haven't a hard nosed player in this team other than Viney and even he can't come up against the likes of Maynard. Maybe we can turn to Langdon, Chandler, Laurie, Spargo, BBB and the likes. Wouldn't worry me and I'm 70 odd. Let's all just get back to reality and hope in hell we can bring our A game on Friday and live another day. Just maybe a win then another against the Lions and get the Pies in the GF and the just play the ball and win. Wouldn't that be nice!. Firstly we have the Blues to get over.

Yep. I mentioned in the pre game post that we beat them in June after kicking bad and if we kick straight we win. Unfortunately we again kicked poorly, not only the behinds but many out of bounds on the full that could easily have been goals. This along with to many passengers was our downfall. Got a lot of work to do in a very short time but not all is lost. We can beat Blues/Swans and then Lions/Port to get to the big dance but we need more contributions across the whole team not just the normal 4 or 5.

Concur and we have that advantage of beating them back in June. If we had of kicked straight would have been a 5-7 goal win SO kick straight tonight and it's ours for the taking. I'll be in the lounge up in Brissie with shorts and Demon polo and plenty of VB's. Enjoy the game guys.

100% correct. No Daicos and Noble out limits their run and carry capabilities and precision kicking. Our good luck I say.

This was a very good win. Hawks brought their A game with excellent disposal skills. They will be a force once again in the near future. For us to win by nearly 5 goals in the end without dominance from Clarry, Trac and Kossie bodes well for us going into the finals.

Like watching grass grow.

Back to the forum topic. IMO our form has been pretty good. Can be better but I know one thing and that is, if we bring the pressure to the Hawks like we did against Carlton, it will be a one horse race. Pressure , pressure and more pressure and the forward entries will follow and hopefully some decent forward entries to our forwards advantage. Be nice wouldn't it?

The mugging by opposition players in EVERY game on Max is a joke and the umpiring dept or AFL senior people need to do something because our own club will not. I've watched 2 games up in Brissie live and to see the amount of players bumping, blocking and grabbing him even when the ball is miles away is beyond a joke.

And add in the lack of supply. He may well have dominated if we had as many inside 50's as the baggers. Particularly in that 1st qtr.

Agree Dwight but still a bit worried with Salem's kicking penetration at the moment. Doesn't seem to get any power in his kicks. Could be wrong. Carlton were very good and look out for them in finals if they bring that pressure and include McKay, Cerra, Walsh. McGovern and Silvagni. We had quite a few down so plenty of upside for us.

This stuff about the umpires etc. etc. and was the ball touched or not is stupid. Face the facts, the Blues were better than us tonight for most of the game. We had that many passengers and again it was a few that kept us in it. Salem has lost his power in kicking. Once upon a time he would hit up a team mate 50 yards away with a low hard bullet. Now he has trouble kicking further than Spargo. Max got worked over and again we had no forwards. JVR was just a player along with Melk and most of them. When teams pressure us we fold like babies. The Blues were to good and we have plenty of work to go to be viable in the finals.

We turn up from the start and bring the heat the Blue Baggers will fold and we will by at least 5 goals. We start like last week and give them a sniff then it will be a tough battle and only win by a couple. We have this and very confident fine or wet.

I'm in favour of resting anyone who is a bit sore and tired for this coming game. Most, if not all of you plus myself reckon we have good depth so why not test the depth. Kangas coming back from Perth and really have nothing to play for. Yes Clarko is back but kick the first couple of goals and they will roll over. Surely the likes of Grundy for Max, Sparrow back for Viney would not weaken us that much. Rest then bring back for last 3 games then another rest before finals should have us cherry ripe.

14 against 14. Circle work DC. Even I was good at circle work, many, many years ago. What I'm saying is that Chandler has not done anything in the AFL of late to get me excited. Similar with Spargo so they are IMO on an even keel. Both struggling.

I've got no problems with the chat re Spargo but we need to realise Chandler hasn't been in that good enough form to replace him. Basically, when in the side of late has done nothing to get me excited. Therefore only the one change for me. Tommo for Petty. Petty needs a good rest and then find some form in the Magoos.
