  1. will wait and see who is fit however to beat the Doggies we MUST improve our field kicking. Even last week against Port some of our kickig was junior material.
  2. No way it was deliberate. Ball was bouncing around and he kicked it in mid air. Just so happens Clayton went to grab the pill. Free kick as it was and that's it.
  3. I don't think BB is the sole tall forward. Have a look at the side. Gawn and Jacko will be moving through the forward line and they ain't small.
  4. Maybe Fat Tony but every time he goes for the pill he has 2 or 3 oppo players on him. Rarely gets out marked so therefore he is bringing ball to the ground. This is where the likes of Picket etc. need to be. I know BB is 7 foot 20 and needs to impose more but let's wait and see if this happens leading to finals. Still have a little bit of faith in him.
  5. Gee I'm up with it. Not. Oh well they have plenty of other older players, like most of their side so maybe they rest them !!. Who ever they play we will knock them off. Got a very tough run home so need this one.
  6. They also tend to rest their older players after 5/6 day breaks so would not surprise me if Danger and Selwood have a rest
  7. Up to the Mids and smaller guys to take control. Still a very strong back line so I have great confidence in us taking this game by more than 40 points.
  8. Well I will quote myself here. As mentioned above we did not have Trac firing. He was very ordinary and Pies last goal he was just jogging along inside the Pies players doing nothing. Like a under age player. Either he is unfit (as in not well or injury) or he is getting a BIG head. The lesser lights to help Clarry were not seen. Forwards struggling that's if you want to call them forwards. When things are tough and prssure on we go missing in the forward line.
  9. Those at the ground would know better but watching up here in Qld on the [censored] box it seemed our forwards were behind most of the time albeit our entries were terrible but ever since I played juniors back in 60's was told to be in front as a forward. This gives you a chance to either mark the pill or bring it to ground. Time and again the Pies took easy marks in our forward line. We looked like a second rate forward line. BBB improved a bit from his last few outings but was caught behind to many times and when in front could not hang on to the mark. Easily spoiled. Our forwards line is a mess big time.
  10. Yes the forwards are struggling a bit but for us to give this mob a hiding we need our full lot of mids to dominate in tight and on the outside and give some decent disposals to our forwards advantage. Trac needs to have a blinder on Monday and we need the lesser lights like Harmes, ANB and Sparrow to give Oliver a hand out. This happens and we win easily.
  11. I know this will not go away for a while but I will put my coaches hat on and say it happened, sometimes poop happens, can't change that. Now let's get on with the season starting Monday with a convincing win against the Pies and all will be good for the rest of the season.
  12. Spot on Dub. Particularly with Trac. He seems to have lost his explosive run out of congestion and seems to be now hesitant, fumbly and just looks banged up. I thought he would bounce back last night but unfortunately no.
  13. 6 Max 5 Gawn 4 Number 11 3 Captain 2 Jordan 1 Brayshaw
  14. Ben Brown has to go. Who for I have no idea but he is to slow and cumbersome. Would also look closely at Picket and Spargo. No influence at all on the game. When they actually win the ball they just turn it over, Hunt also needs to go for Hibberd. Thank goodness we had Gawn and Gus as they were about only guys that won their contests and had a go.
  15. He will as have him as my SC captain. Go Trac and go Dees
  16. Yeh Rivers looks to playing sore pus Trac
  17. Just shows how strong we are with the depth of ready made players to come in and replace those hurt. Now over to you SAM. See if you can keep Tom Mac out for a few weeks.
  18. No one yet has mentioned BBB. Whilst I only watched on TV up here in Qld he seemed to be behind in marking contests all the time. He is slow and sluggish. Happy to give him one more but the Weid must be getting close to get back in. Mind you I would hate to be a forward in our team. Delivery is still crap. Thoughts?
  19. Swans lost this. Blues didn't win it plus umpires helped Blues immensely. Some shocking NON decisions against swans and what about Cripps in the 2nd qtr i think. Arms out and mouthing off but no 50. Oh well I suppose different rules for the so called big names and teams!!!. All for respect to the umpires in general but they also have to earn the respect. The game is going down hill in quick time.
  20. He is the heart and soul of this great club. Playing great footy and seems to be enjoying being 3rd or 4th key mid behind the likes of Oliver and Trac. Gives him the freedom to do what he does best. See footy, get footy and now delivering it in style. Having the other two getting the attention I think will prolong his career.
  21. Unfortunately JTR it is what it is. As in normal life you belt a person and he is Ok you may get a fine for it however he falls and hits his head on ground and suffers badly then you are up for allot more. AFL tribunal seems to follow same suit and it is the outcome that you as the instigator have to deal with. I do not think Chandler deserves 2 weeks but it will not change and outcome is the penalty not just the action.
  22. Might be a bit hard Werridee for Melk and Dunstan to play 12 noon Sunday for Casey and then get to Perth to be emergencies.
  23. Happy with the short extension. Continue winning as much as we can and come 24 he may well get another extension. Also very good email from Perty I thought
