Time to go Goody?
Not too sure whether he can coach and bring a decent game plan!

Trade Targets
I've said it before and will say again, we need to recruit players from other clubs and/or the draft that have pace and the necessary skills. Other than the Royal Windsor our newbies are really just good old-fashioned goers. Being up in Qld I have not seen Jeffo, Adams or Sestan as it seems, they are about the only ones in the two's that could have the skills to make it. We are getting killed by teams with pace and skills to deliver correctly. Not all lost as JVR, Windsor, McVee and Rivers will keep improving and be very good players for us.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
I'm with Kev in that we are a very young side, and inconsistencies will occur. This is where our mid-range experienced players like fritta, kozzie, sparrow etc. need to perform at a higher level to assist the youngsters and our older guys. Feel sorry for kolt. He was like a deer in the headlights, but the experience will improve him. We need a few more Windsor's that have the skills and more importantly the pace. Most of our other smaller type players do not have the pace to break lines. It is not the end of the world. We have another game this week and win it we are still in with a chance. One thing I noticed yesterday was the fact an old, old bad habit returned. We had 3/4 players all congregated around the ball against 1/2 Freo's and naturally ball gets out and we have no one on the outside.

Jack Viney - Legend
Both he and his old man are/were hard as cats heads. Best father/son I reckon for MFC and close to all of the AFL

He needs PF to have a chat to him seeing he is next in line for a senior call up!!!

CASEY: Rd 17 vs Frankston
I'm stating the bleeding obvious here, but Casey is not a very good team including most of AFL listings.

Tom Fullarton - back up ruck?
Not sure on this spirit. If we go in same as last week and the mids etc. take control, then I reckon we will win without a ruck. If we play him, we are still without a ruck and someone else has to go out of the side that played Ok last week.

Oliver Trade Rumours
I think you will find he wanted to go home back to WA and we DID NOT force him out.

The real state of the game
This game is cactus. AFL moving towards touch footy. Basketball is nearly taking over as a tougher game. That's how bad the AFL bosses has made it. An absolute joke. No more tackling people. You might hurt someone.

Young Yze having a game! If so, that is fantastic news.

Food at the Footy
Should never eat on an empty tummy! Cost is also silly up here in Qld. I even mention to the poor people serving the grog that I only want a beer not a carton when paying. Quality is ordinary at best. Do you guys still get the hot, jam donuts outside the G from the van? Used to love them after a game.

Standard of Umpiring
I was there last night, and it is very clear we do not get a good go from the umpires. Chatted with a guy from the cheer squad and he said we have to kick 2-3 goals extra a game to cover for umpires. He is dead set correct. Not sure if a few of our players back chat them but something is seriously wrong. 3 examples that resulted in Lions goals were dead set wrong. Camerons first goal, one of our players got checked off the ball by Daniher and went flying. No free. A couple involving May with his mark over on the wing and paid a mark and we set up down field for his kick only for a 2nd Umpire calling a block on Hipwood because he threw his arms up in the air. We were in no position to cover the change and another goal to Lions. Worst one was in the last when May clearly took the mark, had his arms chopped and it was called play on. Down they go and kick another goal to level the scores. Even some Lions supporters near me agreed they got a good run of it. We need to front the AFL via President and CEO but of course we will be good little kids and shut up. Lastly our President is alive. Saw here going into a corporate suite last night.

The Kalani White Thread
Agree. He's been back playing for Broadbeach Colts in the QAFL last few weeks. Not dominating but let's wait for next season. Has the ability and just needs to fill out a bit and anything could happen

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Yes, but our coaching leaves a bit to be desired. If he's being tagged throw him deep forward. He has the attributes to beat any tag up forward and could be dangerous. I said that V north. He would have been dangerous for Powell if he went with him forward. Same with Berry if he goes to him. See what he's like covering Clarry in our forward line.

Steven May staging fine
Agree 100%. If you can put one over the umpire and get a free, why not. Been going on for 100 years. Well done, Maysie. Small fine to pay only.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
Looked to me on the TV up here in Qld that he had a hard tag. This is where the Coach is failing IMO. I would have thrown him to the forward line and rotated the kids through the middle. Never know a couple of goals up forward for Clarry may lift his confidence. Again, I saw Goody being stubborn and not willing to make changes in game.

I'm going on a different tact than all of you. Reckon Petty will have a breakout game Saturday night. Just a gut feel. Happy to play the kids and hope in hell they can perform and lift the others like Petty, Fritta, Chandler etc. Also hoping Rivers and Mcvee have blinders and actually break lines and hit up targets. Maybe I've had to many VB's and wine with dinner but what else have we got.

Trade Targets
I'm not fussed on who we get AS LONG as those being targeted from other clubs and in the draft are quick and skillful. We need players that can run and break lines and deliver under pressure.
