Up here in Brisbane and watching 1st game live at Gabba for about 3 years.

Cloudy, warm ,humid with showers up here in Brissie today and also expect the same tomorrow. Even if no showers the humidity will make for a greasy ball. Finally after a few years looking forward to seeing the Dees live and expect a good win.

Rang them not long ago and they immediately sent my ticket through with apologies. Packs still not here. Buying GA for rest of family at the Gabba. Do not expect that many to turn up. Lions and Dees up here does not enthuse the Qld'ers

Being in Brissie I paid for Interstate membership on 2/3 plus 2 junior for twin Grand Sons. Packs still not arrived when club said they mailed Monday week ago. Also asked for the free ticket in M'ship package for this Saturday's game and no email ticket yet. Emailed and rang club 3 times now and with Good Friday tomorrow will have to ring again today. This happens all to much with MFC

Maynard has to go. Just a VFL player. Fritsch deserves another chance. Not sure on Brayshaw and Tyson as replacements for anyone as they are both slow and Lions are quick in mid field. Need some pace on the hard Gabba deck.

Lewis didn't lose us the game either. Have a look at all players disposal into our forward half. Pathetic. Need to remember that Cats had fewer rotations and we dominated most of 2nd half and should have won by 5 goals plus but school boy errors and disposal let us down.

Agree here. Cats attacked through the centre all game and either the Coach or so called team leaders on ground did not cover this important part of the ground. Plenty of Cat's goals came from loose players in centre corridor and we did not respond to cover that area. Also the problem is we have many lazy players who do not work hard enough both ways

No need to panic. If we are good enough and as many have said we have depth then we can cover for these two important players and look forward to when they return FULLY fit. Imagine other teams getting injuries in first 6-8 weeks then we get Viney and TMac as ins!

Been in Brissie since early 90's (from Melb) and I may be correct in saying this is most likely first time we have had 2 games here. Will be at the Gabba for Lions game with Sons and Grand Kids and seeing us win the 2nd game for the season To expand on Bris Dee post you can also go to the Story Bridge Hotel for pre game drinks and feed.I t is a great pub. In past they used to take supporters to Gabba by bus. Assume they still do even though only about a 15 minute walk.

From the Hobart Radar it seems to be clearing so hope ground can dry a bit before start.

Concur Poita. Only 2 main practice games and we must play best available. No doubt some niggling injuries around and we do not play those so some of the newbies will get a game but best available is way to go.

Old Bergo must have gone missing as no reports since last Fridays session . I assume he went back to Melbourne for Women's game. They certainly do not want to keep supporters up to date. Hope a few attend tomorrows training and can report as nothing coming from club.

This mob have no idea at all how to win over supporters. As mentioned in previous posts they normally have the open session on the Saturday and in anticipation my elder boys and twin Grand Sons who I pay membership for booked in to Sunny Coast ( drive up Sat Morn from Bris) to watch the team train. They must think all Brisbane supporters will have day off from work and pull kids out of school and drive the 2 hours to Sunny Coast to watch them on a Friday. They have to be joking surely! I sent a not to pleasant email to club voicing disappointment and asked them if players sooked again and wanted change to the Friday !!.

Simple fact is ,if we are good enough we can win anywhere. If you all think we are good enough then winning in Alice and Darwin is a good possibiilty.

Reading the comments I find it amazing we actually won. Looks like only about 6 players performed. If that is the case look out other teams when we actually hit a bit of form!!
