GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Yes effort and a BIG effort is required tonight. In addition our better players like Lewis, Hibberd, Salem,Jones, Viney, Harmes, TMac, Melk, Gawn, Oliver and Brayshaw HAVE to play at their absolute best with others showing that effort required to assist THEN we might be a sneaky chance.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Concur and why the hell did they start Lewis on wing and only put him back late when he actually got a few touches. Mind boggling stuff by our coaches.

Changes vs Richmond
We have a huge problem at moment.Do not worry about Goodwin's game plan etc the FACT is we have the following VFL standard players (at present) in (from the back line), Lewis, Hibberd, Jones, Weideman, Hunt, McDonald, Melksham, Petracca, Spargo, Fritsch, Wagner & Wagner. That is 12 players that are not performing to AFL standard. Unfortunately we do not have the players to replace them all. You all saw what the kids did to our 2nd's today. Worrying signs. Therefore we need to play Garlett for Spargo who has no idea how to play this game as one change and I suspect no other changes. Just hope the others come good. A long season beckons folks.

Changes: Rd 05 v St. Kilda
Exactly we should and will not play around with changes just because it is a short turn around from Saints to Tigers. We must play our best, fittest available and if that means Jones and Viney play both if fit. You do not play around with the side when we have only won one game. We need our best firing for both these and get back to the pack.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not sure about that OD. This bloke can play and when he gets back in I'm confident you and the others will be very happy with his contribution. May 80% fit is a better option than what we have at moment and he will show us all why we got him and KK for Hogan.

Sack everyone (mega-thread)
Not silly statements Mono. Roos got the fundamentals right by shoring up the defence then pushed us forward. JLT and last 3 games we have gone backwards. Can't blame backs entirely as mids like Jones do not get back to help.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
If this is true then I suspect he comes in for Spargo. No tackles, lacks speed and at times seems to just follow the packs about 10 yards behind and makes no impact. Spell at Casey will do him good, get his confidence back and push again for seniors.

Jack Viney and the medical staff...
Nor could he do any better and to have a dig at our medical team when he has no back ground to back it up is silly. IMO Misson has done a great job for this club and who ever comes in will have big shoes to cover.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
Let's face it. We were not good enough. Onwards and upwards next year !!

Target 70,000
I would be happy with 50k which is only about 11k to go so a couple of wins early should see us get to this milestone.

Target 70,000
I rejoined again and also paid for twin Grand Sons this week so another 3 to the total. Great they play twice up here in Qld.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
I might be a simple man but believe in a simple fix. 10 teams. 9 games and a final four. Extend season by one or two weeks. NO more teams for a year or two as talent is not there.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Agree. Two for one normally wins out particularly of the class of May and KK. Let's forget about Hogan and look forward to our team performing each week with all giving 110%

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
No way that will happen. The Lions have been training in crap facilities for years, Live up here and even where we are training in Maroochy is better than what Lions have. Also more seats in balance up here for election so that's where the money will be spent even though would love a facility for whole club in Melb.

Anyone for cricket?
Our biggest problem is that we get starts and no one goes on with it. Those 20's and 30's need to go big for us to improve.

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
Don't forget the U19's. Used to go to the GF in old days early watching first, the U19's then the 2's and of course the big one if still sober!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Agree. Not sure about a once in a generation key forward. Big statement. My generation has seen the likes of McKenna, Hudson, Dunstall, Lockett etc who all would eat Hogan for Breakfast. He is gone and for me I barrack for MFC not JHFC. Let it go as when RBD left I'm sure not many or any MFC supporters changed to Carlton or for that fact the many Hawk supporters moved to Swans when Buddy left. I follow MFC not a player. Took a while to get over Watts and see what he has done at Port so let's just get over Hogan and focus on the team we have, which I believe will give us plenty of smiles in coming years.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Concur. No way we trade Hogan for May. May would have made no difference whatsoever last Saturday as it was coming in at a rate of knots due to lack of forward and mid pressure. You could have had May, Rance and Lever and it would not have changed the result. Hogan is well liked by his team mates and I believe they would not be that happy if he goes and May comes in. Also May from what I hear at the Suns is not that well liked. I also do not rate him as a player or person and Hogan in my opinion (reiterate MY OPINION) has still plenty of upside.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
I was a 12 year old and went to the G with a mate and his dad. All I can remember is we couldn't get into the Demon room after the game so snuck in the Maggies and saw the big Gabelich with a tallie of Melb bitter. Sticks out in my old mine like it was yesterday
