The 2023 AFL Fixture
l thought the afl said they listened to the fans and there would be no more 7.50pm games, replaced with 7.20pm ones. Crowds are back so they don't care anymore, For young familes it makes a big difference. Very poor

We're the kings of kicking out.
I would love to hear an interview with our Performance Data Scientist Robert Younger ... l am almost certain our kick in strategy, kicks inside 50, and many other parts of our game plan are heavily influenced by his analysis. https://www.figuringfooty.com/2016/06/29/goal-kicking-accuracy-maps-expscore/

TRAINING: Friday 12th May, 2023
Some players are just injury prone and it seems to be skewed towards athletic types stangely

Tassie game vs North Melbourne
Yes, but last year we were bundled out of the finals and finished outside the top 4 so not sure this season matters

TRAINING: Monday 8th May, 2023
Agree, he is coming off successive injuries/illnesses, start with a half in vfl and build up from there
-
New Balance
That seems right, they also went out of business and didn't pay up l believe. Sponsorship seems to have been a last ditch effort to survive

PODCAST: Steven May Interview
Where did he play his footy as a junior before being drafted? Is a move forward possible in a few years given his attributes? What are the high level tactics / instructions they are given when kicking in and how much of that is guided by analytics? What does he do away from footy to relax? Where will he live post footy and what job would he like to do? Reason/s for our form drop at the back end of last year? Does he have a view on the voice vote?

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
Yep, seems on reflection, he was behind alot of the drafting moves that we often gave Josh credit for
-
Underground handballs
What about the under ground kicks, starting to see a few of those also?

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Was expecting he would have beefed up his upper body if not by his 2nd club, then his 3rd club. Needs the extra kgs in my opinion. Apparently mfc asked him to also but can't see any evidance of it at training. His form in vfl late last year and now this year has been exceptional though. Good time to take a look at him.

TRAINING: Tuesday 18th April 2023
In the end it wasn't too different to a normal training session ... main difference was a couple of speaks at the start and they answered a few questions, free coffee if you wanted to line up long enough, and a bit more time for signatures. l am a 25 yr member, was hoping for something more 'inner sanctum' like to be honest. Richo said players wanted to catch the red eye from perth to get back quicker to fam after 3 recent road trips, they may sleep over next time l suspect. Kid seemed to surprise Richo with a kozzie question - standard line about all going in right direction

TRAINING: Tuesday 18th April 2023
He was out there said he was feeling good coming back with concussion recently. Said it was his 4th concussion when l asked him, no lingering concerns though

McVee & Laurie vs Baker
l like Oscar as he seems like a passionate guy with an air of self confidence ... hope he makes it ... at the same time can we change this thread to 'McVee & Laurie'

McVee & Laurie vs Baker
Going a bit early cranky

2023 Injury List
Terrible decision to being him back on after his injury when the game was over already ... makes no sense and makes you wonder with all the monitoring they do why they can't make the decisions that matter most
-
Trent Rivers Re-Signs until 2027
That's not the case, Riv for all his qualities isnt on a fat enough contact. If kozzie doesn't sign we get another player from somewhere like we did for Hogan, Jackson etc

Dees v Weagles replay
I watched it live and we won by 63 points. Given others are having issues l watched it again and we still won by 63 points. Replay worked fine, not sure what the fuss is about 😉

Training Ground?
I actually did a study of their membership base while a maths student at Swinburne uni (commissioned by the hawks) and they had a concentration of supporters in areas near Waverley park. lt wouldn't surprise me if that was the case for Dingley also. But l take your point about not being overly obsessed about the location

Training Ground?
What movement? Its the same old we will update you soon just that it was delivered during what was probably a boozy lunch
