Training Ground?
Not necessarily the announcement but the completion of the project after the negotiations are completed. There are several options and it will take some time to work out which is the most viable and affordable. Money has to come from several areas and it will involve Govt., AFL and our own money. Whilst the majority of Landers think the players hate travelling to Casey, that couldn't be further from the truth, it may have been, but isn't anymore, the current group are very happy with the facilities and they are soon to be improved.

Training Ground?
For all those expecting a training ground will be announced soon forget it, it will be over 5 years away. There are a couple of sites we are looking at but in the short term, we will be housed at Casey and the facilities there are going to be upgraded, as are the current facilities at Olympic Park.

TRAINING: Friday 9th December 2022
It was a jazz dance back in the day, I think it was called Opus.

TRAINING: Monday 5th December 2022
If I remember correctly, there was a guy called Rigoni who was sitting in a pub having a beer with his mates when he was told he’d bee selected by the Dees, can’t recall how many games he went on to play.

We cannot draft again from WA
If we are facing Covid restrictions again, and on form we probably are, then I'd have to say it could be a problem recruiting kids from Interstate, particularly WA. Life has been [censored] in Victoria over the last 3 years. These kids can see their mates living free and easy and it must be hard for them to have to miss out. I think that would have been a big part of LJ's decision to return. Lifestyle, restriction free, among his mates......

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
I watched the first half of the July 20/21 Dees v Doggies game yesterday and the Doggies had Schache playing in the backline and back up ruck, he spent a lot of the time matching up with Dogga. I'd have to say he eclipsed Dogga in the ruck and played a pretty useful game. He's got a good pair of hands, can take a grab and kick straight, which is a bonus. He may be a little light at 94K's but is a good height and looks more comfortable playing in a defensive role. As has been mentioned if he can free up Petty to go forward, that could solve a couple of problems.

Welcome to Demonland Lachie Hunter
I've often thought that, he's a much better player than Mitch though. I've watched most of the Bullies/Swans match earlier this year and he played a very good game, 19 possessions to half time and hardly, if at all, wasted a possession. He kicked two deliveries in the first half that directly resulted in two marks and two goals. He's got a lot of talent and will be a great pick up for us, if he puts his mind to it.

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Nibbler has a good football brain and would be well suited to this role. He keeps on reminding the other players to keep their mind on the job and stop the premature celebrations and to get back to their positions for the next forward entry. I was a little skeptical at first, but I think he can play as long as he can get a bit of guidance and I think it will be a contest between him and BBB, who is really a week-to-week proposition. We came back too early last year and by the finals a lot of the players were stuffed, and the side was riddled with injuries. I think the Jackson affair was a distraction as well and I'm expecting a much better year in 2023,

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
We will turn this kid in to a star. All he needs to do is show some intensity, he has all the tools now he has a decent workshop. 30 goals this year is my estimate.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Nearly shed a tear when I read this, it's like one of your sons leaving home.

I'd rather they don't make the finals, if they do let it be bottom 4 of the 8 and out the first week.

2022 Player Reviews: #27 Luke Dunstan
It wouldn’t surprise me if he gets more games next year, we had to teach him our game and de-St Kilda him. I’m not a great fan but, like all players, he needs confidence and how could anyone playing at St Kilda have any.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Sad to see him go but I guess it was the best thing for both parties. We’ve given hi, plenty of opportunities but he just couldn’t grasp them. Maybe if we played him for a season and told him he wouldn’t be dropped if he didn’t play well but we wanted him to improve and evolve over that time, but football isn’t like that. All the best Sam and I doubt there’d be many Dees supporters that wouldn’t wish you well, you’ll always be welcome back at the club.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Rankine said on radio this morning that he has dreamt of playing in a showdown since he was a kid. He was always going to go back.

Let's hope it is only temporary, you never know, thousands of Victorians left the State as well, not just footballers. Over the last three years we have been the worst State to live in, particularly our youth.

Farewell Luke Jackson
One of the SA clubs said that GC shouldn't bother recruiting Rankine because he would only come back to SA at the first opportunity, I think they said the same of Lukosius. So eastern states clubs recruit them and SA/WA clubs grab them for a very poor return. Over the main Covid period it wasn't pleasant for anyone living in Victoria, maybe with the "State of Emergency" nearly over things will change. Maybe we can start to attract a few Victorians playing with WA/SA clubs to come back here.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Can we now delete any reference to him on Demonland, including pictures and videos.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not happy with all of this and if the compensation is what's been mooted, then my only wish is they pick a Victorian kid that wants to come home and we screw the hell out of them, to get him.

Farewell Luke Jackson
That also applies to players selected in the draft, it's the nature of the game we play. I'm not sure what you are getting at, you appear to have backtracked a bit, but we will judge his output when his career is over and not when it's a few years in and he already has one flag in his kit.

Farewell Luke Jackson
"So far we’ve had 1 season where it was a steal and 4 seasons where we have been ripped off!" How do you define ripped off? So as far as you're concerned we were ripped off because he's been injured? In hindsight would you have done the deal if you knew he was going to get injured? We did win a premiership with he being an integral part of the team. I'm not sure what you are saying, is it the fact we have only won one Flag whilst he's been there because we were ripped off?
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Are you just anti everything, or maybe just the [censored] out of everyone on here? You do remember we won the flag last year and finished second after the H&A games this year? We are a seriously good side and I think after a bit of down time we will come back better than ever, some of the players came back to training too early this year and needed a break, maybe that's why we have had so many injuries and looked flat. Both the Swans and Pies play a frenetic game and it's hard to keep this up, I think they will fall back a bit next year, Geelong will be a year older and maybe not quite as hungry as they were this year. Maybe you should focus on the positives we have and stop trying to find reasons why we can't win.

Jack Bowes Salary Dump
If I was Free I'd be rushing to Melbourne to sign that deal. If you analyse it we swap Jackson for Grundy and a little cap relief for 2 years. Bowes and 7 are totally different deals, so why involve Jackson/Freo? Am I missing something?
