  1. Webjet I was Jeremy Howe's sponsor and I've got a few Jumpers and Photos of him from 2012 onwards.
  2. Dan would have got someone else to boo for him and then denied any knowledge of asking them.
  3. I went to the season opener function and Kozzy was at the next table to me, he had a queue of people wanting their photo taken with him, I was one, and he never refused anyone, he is such a delightful guy. So glad he has settled this early on so we don't have to go through the same rubbish we did last year with Dogga and a few years before with Jesse. He is one of the reasons you go to the football, it's amazing to see him in full flight.
  4. Brodie loves it at the Melbourne footy club, he loves everything about the club and he will play his heart out for the club. He's coming back from a long layoff and like all players that have been out for a lengthy period, it will take time for him to regain fitness and let's not forget he has to adapt to a new game plan. He's played better than Dogga was playing last year and will only get better. He's an exceptionally good player and we will probably see the best of him in the second half of the year.
  5. I hope he kicks a few, he has talent and can play in multiple positions. He played well against Jackson last year and had the better of him in the ruck and when Jackson went forward.
  6. The younger brother is a smooth mover and looks a natural forward, I don’t think he will go late in the draft. We can load up on key forwards and backs and trade in a good key position player, later, when we need one.
  7. I was privileged to be at the pre draft briefing the year that Jackson was drafted and saw some footage that hadn't been released, I was gobsmacked by the talent he had, I think there were a few other posters on here that were there too. He did look like a generational talent and when we got him I was over the moon. He did look the goods early on but I just don't think he grew, he has a bag of tricks but he reminds me of, as they say, Jack of all trades but master of none. He should have, for his own sake, either stayed with us or gone to West Coast, he will always be behind Darcy. At best he will be a middle of the road forward and back up ruck. Good luck to Luke, he did lift at the right time in 2021 and helped us win a flag but I wonder if his real contribution matches the legend, irrespective he will go down in history as a Demon Hero.
  8. Went to the game with my son and his two daughters, 16 and 14 and they brought a friend each, the younger friend is a mad Tigers supporter, her whole family are. She was really good during the game and bless her little heart, clapped and sang our club song at the end of the match.
  9. My view is that if we can take any opportunity to remember and respect the sacrifices made by the men who lost their lives in this horrible conflict then we should. Is it your view that we should only give a [censored] on one day a year? I personally feel a chill when everyone turns their lights on, and the ceremony begins and if ever you go, I'm sure you would understand what I'm saying. Can we trade you for an actual MFC supporter?
  10. Anyway, if Dogga helps Freo bottom out, it may convince Brayshaw Junior to move to a successful club and join his brother. That's if he isn't happy to remain on the bottom for the next, how many years.
  11. When the Wiz played his first game for Freo against us at the G a lot of our supporters booed him and he just looked at the members with a hurt look on his face and his arms out wide. It was one of the worst feelings I've had at the football. If Kossi leaves us I'd hope that the same isn't repeated. Dogga is a big kid and he is happier at home with his mates, mum and family. Good luck to him and even better luck for us. We have come out of this better off and his efforts last year showed he wasn't as good as we hoped he'd be, long term anyway. Look back to what he was doing before he took up football over basketball, why did he do that, maybe to be close to his family, no moving to the US, a couple of hours away from home at worst playing football. I have no issues with that I only hope he falls to the bottom of the well with FREO, nothing personal only self interest. I don't boo anyone but Umpires and opposition players that do harm to Melbourne players.
  12. I park on the Anderson Street hill and take the chance I won't get a ticket, it's 2-3-hour parking, never got a ticket and I've parked there hundreds of times. It's a 25-30 minute walk but it's really nice walking through the parklands. When the kids were younger, and I was too, we used to walk to the ground and if we won run up the hill to get to the car so we could listen to the summary on the radio.
  13. Do you, or does anyone know what is going on with Harmes, he's been out for a couple of weeks for personal reasons? I understand personal reasons means personal but is he still at the club or has he walked?
  14. Scott Thompson was a South Australian and wanted to go home, JJ is a Victorian and there's no go home factor. I think Scott was a better player than JJ. Maybe it's just a simple case of seeing how the year pans out and how many players are ahead of him, what are his chance of regular games and what sort of money will we offer. I think he will stay.
  15. I read DJ's post and after reading your post I re read it several times and at no point did I see it as a Winge, it was just polite enquiry. I guess we read things the way we want to.
  16. I may be wrong but he looked a little overweight to me. Anyway, we will get him back in a couple of years, when they tire of him not living up to their expectations.
  17. It's over and the thread should be closed, all it will do is deepen the divisions between the various factions on here. This has been like a civil war, and I believe we should just mend the fences and get on with the job of supporting the players and the team.
  18. The cost of the new home ground may be excess of $100 million now but it would have been a lot less if it had been the priority and done 20 years ago. It will also be a lot more in 20 years when they finally get round to doing it. The cost and availability will increase and decrease over time. I'm too old to worry about it now and will be long gone in 20 years.
  19. You could probably do East Bentleigh to Epping in 4 .5 hours in a horse and cart, when did you say you worked there?
  20. Maybe Demon3165 is so busy talking he doesn't have timer to listen. I'd be surprised if it was ready by then, they were relying on 100 people contributing to the cost and as I said, I haven't been asked for my contribution as they.
  21. Well I went to breakfast with one of the club fundraisers, Pert was supposed to be there but had to pull out, and was asked if I'd like to contribute to the building of a RECOVERY POOL which they had planned. That was about a month and a half ago and they haven't asked me for my contribution yet. I got a copy of the projected construction, they hadn't started at that stage. They certainly got that built pretty quickly.
  22. You are aware that the majority of Melbourne supporters don't read Demonland, post on Demonland or even know what Demonland is. Most supporters go to the football and don't want to get involved in the machinations of the club or the board.
  23. They haven't built the recovery pool, as yet. You believe there is an aquatic centre across the road, well is there or isn't there. Don't make a statement when you aren't sure.
  24. How do you know that you make many suppositions when in fact you don't have a clue, do you. I don't know but I don't pretend to. You make statements that have no basis in fact, you just think that most of the members think like you when clearly they don't.
