  1. The media was talking about this before the season started, before we started losing, before we started getting beaten by second rate teams, before we got belted by Freo. You just can't see that there's a problem all you can do is offer excuses.
  2. I'd say that as things stand, hawthorn will win a flag before we do.
  3. So you are happy with the way the season is unfolding? I'm at a loss as to how you can believe the club are, or could be satisfied with the way we have played this year. How else could the season be viewed by the club other than a complete failure, what positives do you think they would get from it? Perhaps they could be happy with the way Grundy is playing, justifying their decision to give him away, Or maybe the biggest loss we have had since Goodwin became coach. Or perhaps how Oliver has had the worst season since he joined the club. There is something wrong at Melbourne and if you can't see that then you haven't looked hard enough.
  4. A season outside the 8 does not define culture, but the season itself does, the way we have played this year is like the seasons of old when we have fallen the year after being in contention. The job isn’t ever done, it’s a work in progress and we have to apply ourselves year in year out, not just the occasional good season here and there. We look like becoming another Footscray, good but not good enough, a 4th to 10th side.
  5. I was thinking the same, that's the way the old Hawthorn played, when Mitchell was in the side, it's not going to win a flag. It was as if they were trying to show the fans that they are a "hard it side" when in reality they are just snipers and target players when they are vulnerable. That hit on Max when he had disposed of the ball should have been reportable, but it wasn't, probably because Max got up.
  6. I was going to the game and left with plenty of time, from Coburg, to get to the G but the traffic was horrendous. I got to the G at 1.15 and was still in a traffic jam in Punt Road. After spending 30 more minutes trying to get off Punt road I got on to Toorak Road which was just a wall of traffic, after sitting in my car for ten minutes' did a u turn and went home. If I found a parking spot, which I probably wouldn't have, by the time I got to the ground it would have been half time. Funnily the vehicle in front of me was a Bulldogs supporter bus, so that answers the question about where the Bullies supporters were.
  7. If he played for Melbourne I would be disgusted with him, don't judge everyone on here by your own standards.
  8. I was at training last Friday at Casey and was super impressed by Windsor, he has got all the skills and does remind me of Whitfield, as someone commented on earlier. it was a closed session and a bit more tactical than normal and the boys were a bit more willing. Don’t ask me for a run down because I spent a lot of the time inside and missed a lot of the session. I did pay particular attention to the Duke.
  9. I can’t see Schache making it, I went to 3 training sessions last week and kept an eye on him, he’s not much different to what he was last year. He’s capable of doing good things, but I don’t think he’s got the mongrel in him to play at the top level.
  10. I'd be happy with that, more than happy.
  11. He’s been playing with the Saints no wonder he’s been ordinary over the last few years.
  12. I agree, we all have our opinion and it's not up to the AFL, or one of the big Banks to tell me what I should do or say.
  13. Let’s hope we don’t have a [censored] fight about this again.
  14. I have 6 tickets, Bay Q9 Level 4 Row D seats 15 - 20 that I don't need, I'm going to the AFL function so rather than have them go to waste I'm happy to offload them for face value $428.30 if anyone is interested.
  15. The family of one of my staff are dedicated Collingwood supporters and they have reserved seats for all home games, they just got their finals tickets, and they are sitting in the same spot they sit in every week. How does this work? I have legends membership and sit in the same seats every week but when I went to get tickets I finished in the nose bleed section of the Warne stand. Do Collingwood get some sort of preferential treatment?
  16. Good on him, we hear about all the young kids at other clubs and how good they are, but the commentators never praise our boys. I'm sick of the praise heaped on Hawthorn youngsters, it's harder to break into a top club and hold your position than it is to get a game in a [censored] club like Hawthorn.
  17. My son finally got some tickets, but they are in the Warne stand in section Q and I think that's near the top, so not great. Got 6 so that may be why I couldn't get better.
  18. My son is trying to get seats for my family and had good ones, ground level behind the goals at the Punt Road end but he put the credit card in incorrectly and it rejected it and when he tried his own credit card it said those tickets have gone. That's one of the biggest problems with having an apostrophe in your last name, it refuses to recognize it.
  19. Do you ever get excited? You do know we won, don't you?
  20. Remember how divided Demonland was when we had to choose between him and Clarrie. I'd say if we can fit him in, we should try.
  21. What about the coach, it’s gotta be Simon.
  22. Bluey Adams won 6 flags with the demons
  23. They were best mates. Since Darcys been out injured, Dogga has been really good, there's only room for one of them, maybe they'll trade Darcy?
  24. I was speaking to Kate Roffey at a club function and she said Riv really loves the club and can't see him wanting to go anywhere else.
  25. Kozzie was down on his haunches in the middle of the ground after the game, he seemed to be unable to get moving during it. I remarked to a few of the guys I was sitting with he looked out of sorts and when he didn't make the distance, kicking for goal from 40 metres out, he looked like he had no energy. We had two players not make the distance from around the 40 metre mark, so maybe there is a virus going through the club. I've never seen Kozzie unable to chase like yesterday's game.
