I went to South Australia for a week to see my brother and his wife and try as I might I couldn't convince them to watch the replay. To make matters worse my sister in law loves classical music and whilst I don't mind it I had trouble listening to it for 6 or 7 hours at a time and after spending half a day with either Bach or Beethoven in the background I was about ready to slash my wrists sensing this my dear sister in law would throw on some Enya or whale sounds to cheer me up. So after 7 days of this and missing the MCG Celebration and the replay, I got home yesterday and the first thing I did was turn the replay on and again today, I think I've wiped out the memory of my "holiday" over in SA but to make sure I will watch it again tomorrow.

I'm going to miss out because my partner planned a trip for us to Adelaide and I can't get out of it, we're driving and I couldn't let her drive all the way by herself. We have an AirBnB booked so we can't cancel that without the loss of all monies paid. I even looked at coming home the 4th and flying back the evening of the 5th. But the difficulty of getting an entry check would mean that I'd have to fly home go straight to a Covid testing centre fill out another application and have another covid test as soon as I get to Adelaide Airport, or quarantine till I do. As it is I had a test yesterday and theoretically, as soon as we cross the border I have to have another, I can wait till I get to my final destination, the Barossa Valley, I think. Who would have thought it would be that hard to go to another State.

I've watched the PF a half a dozen times and with 6.15 to go Fritter is being chased by two Cats defenders and it appears to me that he gets the ball and throws it back on to the feet of the cats defenders and in doing so it propels the ball forward to Kozzi who kicks a goal. Nah, I drank enough in the preceding years, to more than make up for what I haven't drunk since. Went cold turkey, stopped drinking one day and haven't had a drink since, missed the company of the guys but not the drinking.

I stopped drinking about 30 odd years ago, but did give it a nudge when I was having a few and the beer of choice at the time was VB, I thought it was a great drop.

I think Howes will play games next year, maybe wing H/F, he looks like a very accomplished player to me. It wouldn't surprise me if this kid becomes a very good player for us, he seems to have an awareness and is always looking for an option. I'm very glad to see him on our list.
