  1. I really believe that a large part of our failure today was our mental application. Viney is a huge barometer, he wasn't in the game early and we were smashed around the footy. That set the game up. They were on and we were off and we never recovered. The list itself is in good shape, we lack maturity and strong leaders.
  2. It set the game up. We were killed on the ground. Couldn't win a clearance and they roved to Gawn. We lost our confidence and when we got our intent back and got our hands on the footy we jus looked confused.
  3. I have seen a fair bit of Geelong. Obviously Dangerfield and Selwood are handy, as is Enright. Thier bottom six are very average. We have the game to beat them, and I believe we should win.
  4. My favourite part of that clip is when he tried to walk through that 7 foot giant under the ring. Should fit in ok.
  5. A fit O'Meara could take us from possible finalist to possible flag chance. Sometimes you need to play the percentages and others you need to pull the trigger. Must have a close look at him.
  6. If his body can be sound he fits the bill.
  7. Get yourself a free day. Imagine a lowly team who hadnt made the finals in aeons with a champion captain in his last year. They come good in the 2nd half of the season. Youtube r22 v Footscray. Elim vs Nortn Melb. Semi vs Sydney. Preliminary vs Hawthorn.
  8. Don't let Stalinyrconhome hear you say that.
  9. It will be interesting to see if some players will be "rested" . There looked to be some tired players from the footage I saw. They may take the punt and rotate a couple of highly rated young players out to be fresh for the Cats game.
  10. I said it a while ago, happy to stick my neck out, don't do it often. Also think he will be a leader.
  11. These skinny outside types are more miss than hit as we well know. Speculative...all depends on cost.
  12. Waiting for picket fence to like Yze Magic....
  13. At the risk of upsetting people I believe that Hogan is over-hyped. I think he will be an excellent footballer... probably in the top three to five KPFs in the comp, but I don't believe that he is the once in a generation player that some make him out to be. He is a very important part of the premiership equation and needs to be kept, as are/do others. He will be well numerated whatever he does, and I hope he stays with us. If he doesn't I will be very disappointed, but still hopeful. Pre-emptive strike.... it's ok to think that I'm wrong and I could well be, but don't tell me that I am writing him off, bagging him or have agendas or whatever. It is an opinion.
  14. And elite agility....has the quickest feet in the side bar Garlett.
  15. We can go around in circles all week but this is what we know.
  16. http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/video-cyril-rioli-lands-massive-bump-on-clayton-oliver-in-hawthorns-clash-with-melbourne/news-story/6a953e4ee2436c0641aff6e35a896cae Real time. Doesn't get him high
  17. Agree to disagree. I dont believe it was high.
  18. That is what he should have been reported for. The bump was perfectly legal in the context of the rules.
  19. It's panic free footy, Watts would have coughed that up before he got contact in earlier days. Greater strength and confidence
  20. I have been coaching juniors for a long time and whilst it is some jump to AFL footy the concept is the same. If you are not making mistakes as a young player then there is a good chance that by playing safely you are treading water and stifling your development. Yes you need to know your limitations, but how do you know where they are unless you test yourself. I won't bemoan a risky Tmac kick that would be the right option but doesn't hit a target, or Jayden Hunt running himself into trouble. Great teams will push themselves to the brink of their abilities, that is why they become great.
