  1. I would normally agree but with the bones there a punt on O'meara could be one worth taking. I personally rate him very highly. A clear run could see him as the best player in the comp.
  2. Given a choice I would take Jaeger over Prestia for theMFC. Greater risk but could take our midfield into never seen before realms at the mfc.
  3. Hunt and Harmes, elite attributes, now let's see if the new MFC can develop them.
  4. Dees been ridiculed for years for bending over. Dees refuse to bend over.
  5. Most issues will be ironed out with time and under the watch of Misson. Upper body will need to be worked on but this will take time, they will want to be confident that the lower part is ready to handle the load. With greater strength Salem will halve and win many more contests.
  6. Those who have identified issues with the list and those who have had a hand in building it deserve a big pat on the back. Strongest list we have had for a very long time. Good clubs have emerging rookies and low picks, they also identify under-appreciated commodities from other clubs. We are now doing this well.
  7. Would have been more excited if Bieber had a genetic predisposition to an exploding head.
  8. i agree that Port's season is a long way from over, and other sides will come good. I do believe that if we keep a healthy-ish list we can sustain some good form and win as many as we lose. The point is that most premierships come from sides that burn slowly. I look at the list, I look at the way we play and it feels sustainable. Hopefully I am right. Hope is a strange and frightening thing. Personally I think it is pointless to wonder about what we could have done in 2014 and 2015 differently to achieve the results we should achieve it 2016. The circumstances that exist in 2016 are different from round to round let alone year to year. Let us just see what unfolds.
  9. It's hard to be Paul Roos, you start to go ok and all of a sudden people are wondering why it is that you didn't do that thing that you are doing now before...or attributing all the good stuff to Goodwin or McCartney.
  10. Of course we are all just guessing, but of all the coaches that you reffered to (including Daniher) none has won a flag, Roos has, and he did it with a list that many considered ordinary bar a couple of champions. Siding with Roosy's manifesto is the safe not the sexy option, and we were in no position to pick the sexy option. Flags, not finals.
  11. How is that going now? You may have argued against yourself a little bit.
  12. Harmes is an interesting one. I see him as a player that flies under the radar a little bit, but one that has attributes that might see him become better than decent. Very good hands, strong bodied, hard, and shows the ability to make good decisions quickly and execute. Now he doesn't do all of these things all of the time, the fact that he has shown that he can do them sometimes indicates that his ceiling may be higher than some.
  13. It's been incremental. The balance between attack and defence is able to be implemented by a more capable playing list who are coached by a credible coaching staff.
  14. I remember that he took a big mark or two in his career. In a side that was pretty poor anyone who did anything slightly spectacular stuck in the mind.
  15. I prefer the slow burn to the explosion, tends to be more sustainable. He along with Harmes and a couple of our other 2 year plus players are tracking very nicely...for a change.
