  1. Sounds hyperbolic but I am not joking, I think he will be the most exciting of our young players bar Hogan and we have some very good young players. He is the package. Has a rare combination of exceptional speed, courage and smarts. He lacks composure but most sub 20 gamers do. He is a game breaker and will cause our opposition a lot of headaches, Draft position and what players did pre AFL has little relevance. This kid has got it.
  2. Will be as important to us in his position as Jesse Hogan. Just needs to learn to slip back from 5th the 3rd before he kicks...and he will.
  3. I support the club and the players that play for it. Supporting the club means that I watch the players. Watching the players I form opinions on them. Coming to Demonland allows me to express those opinions on occasion. Stalinyrconhome would like us all to stop expressing these opinions.
  4. Invoke football communism. Every player gets the same money. Rotate them equally to give them all a go. Hell lets get rid of the scoreboard we cant have any of the lads feeling down about losing.
  5. Tmac plays high risk high reward footy. As he learns to minimise the risks he will become super valuable. I also have little doubt that the coaching panel are pushing him to keep playing attacking football. He creates as many opportunities as he concedes. Plays a lot like Matthew Scarlett ...obviously has a fair way to go to. He will stay at the dees. His manager will make sure that he is numerated appropriately.
  6. Yeah he goes ok. This bloke will give Jeffy opportunities. Has a rare combination of smarts, courage, speed, strength and confidence. Hunts the footy, hunts the man. Will be a better player than most of our highly lauded young brigade, might even be the best of them.
  7. Fair and reasonable assessment. As long as the group and most importantly Jesse himself sees himself as a developing young player who needs to get a few more things right to get the best out of himself.
  8. Along with Hogan the most exciting player on our list.
  9. Massive talent...can he do a Gawn and get back on the park consistently.
  10. I like Dawes but I think the body is letting him down. No matter how well you think through the game if your hands and legs don't work then you can't play at the highest level. Maybe he will make a hard call soon...would not surprise me.
  11. Yep. Stretch will quickly become one of our most important players and will end up being a player who will launch many of our attacks. As far as agility goes only Garlett comes close. He changes direction very quickly and will get more slippery and harder to tackle with more experience. He also hits targets and has a high footy iq. Any decent judge can see that he is tracking beautifully and barring injury will have a very good career.
  12. And this is an endorsement of the quality of our current list.
  13. Agreed. How wonderful to have a team of players performing at minimum standard. I'm sure that's how Hawthorn have won all of their flags.
  14. We have none, several capable, with Gawn very close right now.
  15. If you read my lips now then you would think I was saying that "he is trucking load of pool kits".... when in fact I am saying something completely different.
  16. 3 goals from Jeffy last weekend and we are in the game. He is a mentally fragile player, but there is no-one on the list who can do what he does, he is a very important player to the structure and to the scoreboard. He was horrible on Saturday, an absolute liability but I would persist for a bit longer, dropping him may be the best result for this week, but not the best result for the season. Build him up, play him deep, hope that he gets a couple of cheap ones and hopefully he will be away again. A couple more weeks of the same stuff though and I think you would need to send him back.
  17. Jeffy has priors for losing all form quickly, clearly a confidence issue Some players need a whack, others need to be cuddled and to be told how good he is. I think Jeffy strikes me as one who needs the latter.
  18. Probably not obvious to many who called into question Roos' defensive tactics. Or the wrist slashers who cut up over the exits of Howe and Frawley. Thanks for your input.
  19. POTY Seriously hit the nail on the head.
  20. I would be keeping a very close eye on O'meara, would have spies at training, would be attempting to organise medicals etc. I wouldn't discount him if a full recovery was considered likely. To me he was on the way to being a champion, and his set of talents would compliment our list perfectly. Should we throw the kitchen sink at him, I don't know, but i would certainly leave no stone unturned
  21. I've noticed your penchant for hyperbole. We weren't at our best and still won by ten goals. Probably adding to the evidence that we have a strong young team list than taking away from it. But i would agree that we are a footy team that is in transition from "ok" to "good" and there are a lot more steps from here to a flag. Like others I would prefer that the lid stayed on for a while.
