  1. Probably-not
  2. Nice idea Cassie. I'd include a disposable poncho as I haven't dodged the rain all year (as yet).
  3. Me too Doug, took the family for a weekend away. Loved the ground, esp. the walk over the bridge across the Torrens at dusk. Also loved yelling out "how good was that" to Clarry's goal from the top of the (very quiet) grandstand.
  4. Unfortunate that we can't wear it in the actual Indigenous round due to a perceived clash. Less of a clash I'd have said than Anzac Day which was flagged prior and deemed to be all good.
  5. I'd like to know when Viney's 2 weeks actually starts. It was originally 2 weeks duration when it happened 3 weeks ago and hasn't shifted since. I also reckon these Injury Reports should be taken with a grain of salt. Jacko's broken finger wasn't reported in the R9 Injury Report at all - even though it was evident prior from both post R8 game images vs Swans as well as it was also being reported on DL that he'd miss.
  6. He also made the point that Collingwood trained on Gosch's paddock in 2010-2011 and played well in that timeframe. So at the same time he's not blaming Gosch's for poor past performances. I'm loving his maturity and accountability, whilst retaining his personality. Great call having him as captain.
  7. Cue the "why can't we have both" gif.....
  8. Link to the podcast for anyone interested in having a listen https://www.rsn.net.au/programs/rsn-breakfast-2/
  9. Was it this one? https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/steven-may-s-long-road-back-20190719-p528rx.html
  10. It's his nickname within the club ds. They just reckon he looks like someone called Rick.
  11. Biggest problem is around 10 blokes stealing votes from him.
  12. And the other point they were making was that all 8 players listed had played every game this year, May has obviously missed one.
  13. On the Couch tonight discussing the metrics of the Top 8 Melbourne Players that put them all in AA contention. Screenshot of the accompanying grab for info. Made the point that all these players have played every game. Also said only 5 teams have had their 8 best players play every game.
  14. Goody on AFL 360 tonight just said the same - he's got some tests to clear this week, and is a a chance. If he's not back in this week then definitely next week. Didn't say anything along the lines of bringing him back through the VFL.
  15. Mate, you need to channel Ed. Hasn’t witnessed anything like you’re suggesting. We don’t want to scare off our next generation of supporters
  16. I reckon our forward 7 at the moment looks largely set: Talls: TMac, Jackson, 1 of BBB or Weid Mids: Fritta (maybe Melksham in place of BBB or Weid, dependent on opposition) Smalls: ANB, Spargs, Kossie.
  17. It rained at the half time break after TMac had taken that mark, which was in the 2nd. Weid's uncontested effort that went between his hands was early in the 4th when it had just stopped raining.
  18. A shout out for Petty who has copped a bit on here for some time, I thought his game was really solid yesterday. That kick from the guts in the last favouring Nibbler who ran off his man and goaled was a total ripper. Hoping he grows in confidence of that game, if so I reckon he'll more than cover the loss of Tomlinson
  19. I reckon we need to give Chandler a run. Loved his over the head handball to Spargo for a goal. Dropping him after a week won’t be great for his long term confidence.
  20. How the hell did Lever get pinged for holding the ball when he picked it up in congestion and was immediately tackled? At least they only scored a point from it, but it was a BS call Good win to the boys. TMac massive. 9-0 baby!!!
  21. I was there last week AF, but I can’t see the Blues bringing 4 QTEQ of heat. That said, I remember 2016-2017 when we should have belted them but didn’t.
  22. Nathan Jones out for a few weeks with a minor hamstring strain, injured yesterday at training https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/hamstring-injury-puts-nathan-jones-record-attempt-on-hold/news-story/857785c93ca884196dbd04ef1f3aef02
  23. Do you live in Palm Cove?
  24. I'd hope so Nasher. Rather than reducing salary cap pressure, it's (hopefully) more a shifting of the salary cap pressure on to other players we can't afford to lose - Clarry will be looking for a significant contract in 2 years time as well as Rivers, Kossie and Jackson starting to move into the window of commanding a larger share of the pie.
