I don't have a problem with posters looking at those areas of our game and team structure that need to improve, because we're not going to win a flag playing like we are at the moment. After last year’s practice of playing the same 22 regardless of injury status, and then bowing out of finals in straight sets, I’m really pleased to see Goody playing with variations on team setup and players from Casey getting a go. Petty looked really good playing forward in that final last yr vs Brisbane. We’ve had a good look at him as a forward now and I think we’ve learned he’s better in defence, but it didn’t cost us games to find this out.

Goodwin confirmed in the post match presser that Petty would be in on the basis he passes concussion protocols. Petty effectively had a rest not playing in the North game. Goodwin also confirmed Spargs was available for selection, so don't be surprised if he gets the nod as well. Hasn't been dropped since I don't know when.

I’m not sure how the contract duration fixes the current issue of players under contract “demanding” a trade and clubs effectively trying to get trade capital while they can.

And I agree that the team managed their health and the result of the game beautifully off a 5 day break, but it’s also fair for the posters lamenting we didn’t get a 100 point win when the replay commentary highlighted we have only had 2 100+ wins in the last 29 years, and we were in the position to make it three.

I’m loving how JVR is playing up the ground a bit, as a link player for offensive transition. I can’t see a forward line with both JVR and T Mac in it as I think they’re too similar. I’d like to see more of BBB, JVR and Fritta as I think this is the best blend of differing offensive skills.
