Fondly remember the image of Treloar sitting on the bench in 4th qtr of the 21 GF looking like someone shot his dog

Farewell James Jordon
Maybe bub, but I guess I’m saying you’ve got a list of roughly 45 that the senior coach needs to nicest his time into each week.IMHO, he should split the list into top 15 players, middle 15 players and bottom 15 players. The bottom 15 players are exclusively VFL, the top 15 players will never get dropped bar injury, and the middle 15 players are the group that Goody should spend 3x the amount of time with over the other two.

Farewell James Jordon
Agreed Adam, but this is the pointy end of the retention dilemma - he is the 23rd/24th player and we’ve got to have ongoing focus on looking after our best depth or we become weaker as a result. Mistake might not be quite the right descriptor, but we need JJ to feel in an ongoing sense that the FD’s development of him and his opportunities to play are better than a full time role in an inferior team.

Farewell James Jordon
We need 26-30 really good players to win a flag, losing JJ would be a massive mistake. He was next cab off the rank in our winning GF team. Our club has been brilliant at identification and attraction of talent, if they can capably navigate retention of top drawer depth then we’re in very good shape

Where will the revenue come from?
My problem with the online betting platforms is how easy it is to get access to the kids and get them hooked. Walking from the station to the ground on my last trip to the G, my boy and I were behind a group of high school aged kids who were bragging about their status in a 9 leg multi. It was quite alarming. We try to make it hard for kids to access vices that can impact their development until they’re old enough to make responsible decisions, but this for me is a significant gap needing closing.

Suns having a very off day but still tracking towards being a decent footy team. Reminds me of us circa 2016. Pumping up the bluebaggers tyres is folly.

PREGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
I think the makeup of the side could look like this: Forwards: Key forwards: Fritta, JVR, Petty, Smith (in place of Spargo) Smalls: Chandler, Neal-Bullen, Kossie Resting Ruck Mids: Ruck, Clarry, Trac, Viney, Langdon, Hunter, Sparrow Backs: Key backs: May, Lever, Tomlinson, Hibbo Distributors: Salem, McVee, Brayshaw Emergency: JJ The forwardline setup can vary with three smalls, or two smalls a resting ruck/Petty and JVR/Smith leading up the ground as linkup options. It's not unreasonable by any stretch to drop Spargo for Smith. I reckon Bowey has to come in for either Brayshaw or Salem, tough call.

COACHES VOTES: Rd 13 2023
Pretty good representation from the Melbourne players' perspective. Not sure Tom Mitchell did anything of note, not sure why he'd get a vote.
