  1. We used to do school trips to the Den of Nargun in East Gippsland, near Bairnsdale. Brings back memories….I never knew the basis for the name. Fascinating.
  2. I’d reckon you could get a Suns $1 for 20c
  3. Agree with all the above. Makes any queries in the Kossie contract renewal thread around him leaving a bit of a joke. He’s not going anywhere; because clearly he feels cared for and respected as part of the NFC family (Narrm Footy Club) I couldn’t be prouder of us either.
  4. I read the thread title and thought we were going back to the tribunal for Sparrow’s tackle. Good article though.
  5. Clarry to hospital at half time with acute leather poisoning. I’d like to see a similar game to the North game a couple of weeks ago, but break the ton this time.
  6. Battle for the Harley Reid cup
  7. I don’t like that daisy, Hawthorn would be unbeatable because they’re a bunch of tossers
  8. The best news is that he’s still eligible for the Brownlow
  9. They’re going to let him off but take 2 weeks to make the decision
  10. They’re clearly not reasonable people
  11. Maybe they’re reading DL getting the various feedback on the possible outcomes they might hit us with
  12. It’s the vibe of the thing
  13. Given the chook lotto of the tribunal, any outcome from 6 weeks to a fine is a possibility
  14. And we were 10-0 last year before the wheels semi-spectacularly fell off and we bowed out meekly from the finals despite being in the top 4. I don't have a problem with posters looking at those areas of our game and team structure that need to improve, because we're not going to win a flag playing like we are at the moment. That said, I'm delighted we are giving some new faces a good run as well as playing our personnel in different positions and seeing some reward, some learning opportunities and some "didn't quite work" instances. But we very soon need to take those learnings and refine the team/game plan so that the core 14-16 of the 22 can better rely on each other from the consistency of playing in the same roles week in, week out.
  15. After last year’s practice of playing the same 22 regardless of injury status, and then bowing out of finals in straight sets, I’m really pleased to see Goody playing with variations on team setup and players from Casey getting a go. Petty looked really good playing forward in that final last yr vs Brisbane. We’ve had a good look at him as a forward now and I think we’ve learned he’s better in defence, but it didn’t cost us games to find this out.
  16. Mayne Nickless
  17. No drama with this, on the basis that Collingwood pick up the slack and take on GWS’s visits to QLD, SA and WA that they’d no longer do.
  18. I’m more inclined to agree with Clarko’s assessment that we have 8-10 All Australians at the moment
  19. Tom Scully retiring must have given the No T$ thread a happy ending? That thread started when we were still carving in stone.
  20. Brisbane in round 2. See how that worked out for us?
  21. It was pretty much this video https://fb.watch/keZKxbUKxO/
  22. Goodwin confirmed in the post match presser that Petty would be in on the basis he passes concussion protocols. Petty effectively had a rest not playing in the North game. Goodwin also confirmed Spargs was available for selection, so don't be surprised if he gets the nod as well. Hasn't been dropped since I don't know when.
  23. Seriously, Tim Lamb should get an OBE for his services to MFC list management.
