  1. He took a nice mark and goaled in the WCE game in Perth that got us into the finals as well. But, per others above, me and my boy were sitting on that forward flank as Mitch ran past us and dobbed that goal against Geelong. What a memory. That, and the crowd noise when Jonesy kicked the sealer. And Nev tearing Dangerfield a new one. What a game.
  2. How can you have a show called AFL on Monday on a Wednesday?
  3. I was more disappointed with the quality of the umpires’ bounces and the lack of them being recalled than I was with JVR’s performance as second ruck against decent opposition
  4. Have you seen May’s kicking for goal?

Maybe he doesn’t want to live in Perth away from his family and friends. I’d rather his honesty than the JHF scenario at the Kangaroos- at least the Eagles have more likelihood of long term certainty on the pick they take

I'm optimistic a forward line of JVR, Melksham and Fritta supported by Chandler, Kossie, Nibbler, Trac and Max floating forward could still manage a game winning score. In Fritta's absence, I reckon we give Smith a go and run Tommo in the backline who I think has been largely good excepting the game against Richmond.
  7. 2x Norm Smith medallist
  8. I’ll be happy with a solid 4 quarter effort, no injuries and Maysie having a solid game in the backline. The rest should sort itself out.
  9. One extra per nut. I remember Brendan McCartney's advice to Clarry on his debut was "keep it simple. See ball, get ball." Maybe the Suns coaching assistants preach the same mantra.

    Max's Millions.
  11. Looking at Brisbane and Port remaining games, I reckon we need to win 3 of the last 4 to finish 2nd. I think all three of Port, Brisbane and us will finish level on points, but we should improve our % sufficiently playing Kangaroos and Hawks to take 2nd. I hope we beat Carlton because I'm less confident with how we play the SCG.
  12. I reckon I'd be no less frustrated if I had just read "the umpire was a *smiling* [censored]"
  13. Nah - Geelong win, we're past Port on the ladder and Geelong still in trouble with games to come v Pies, Saints and Dogs. Geelong lose and I reckon the Giants will knock Port off the next week so likely a win-win scenario anyway.
  14. Clarry at least another week away according to Goody’s presser. Highly likely for Carlton game it sounded like
  15. It's a shame they didn't set the crowds on fire.

Not making light of a tragic event, but I read this banner on the below news.com article about 10 times and I still can't work it out. Pretty poor quality control. AI journalism is alive and well I suspect.
  19. Serious question Dunstan v Harmes - can Dunstan tag?
  20. If he really was lazy, he wouldn’t have spelt his name with any more letters than was absolutely necessary
  21. Loved Kossie’s game. Smith has done too much in the last 2 weeks to be substitute, but he’s a shoe in for sub if he doesn’t play. That was one of Maysies worst games ever.
  22. That they didnt have the ball?
  23. Kossie started strongly, I like seeing him up the ground a bit more; getting amongst it.
  24. Fondly remember the image of Treloar sitting on the bench in 4th qtr of the 21 GF looking like someone shot his dog
