  1. Two years of criticism of the bombers fans ethics in defending the program because of their bias and now that we've got a bomber, it might be better if they get off? Seems hypocritical.
  2. Maybe they've also rented him out a room with Watts and ordered him to mentor jacky with a few wrestling and boxing sessions on the sofa every week.
  3. We should have played Howe as FF for two winnable games mid-year, directed all forward entries to him.. given him a bag of 8 goals and then traded him at a fat price ala Jake Carlisle Super Swingman
  4. The dons may as well give up on any chance of a premiership in 20 years and just aim to finish ahead of St Kilda for a decade or two, so they should take the deal and do their best to compete with St Kilda, fatten up hawthorn for another 10 years of premierships.
  5. My hobby is to scour the places where people without jobs and hobbys lurk and tell them they need a job and a hobby. I just wish I was being payed for my public service.
  6. It's my opinion that if you abbreviate it to PC, you're clearly talking about political correctness too often. it's not as if anybody abbreviates Racist Bogan to RB. Got better things to do.
  7. Can he take a lie detector test for us: Do you harbor any intention to return to your home town of Geelong to be close to mummy and daddy when your contract expires ? Has the thought "gee i'd at least like to have a few years back home before i finish?" ever crossed your mind?
  8. I'm all for a bit of banter, but maybe if these types of antagonistic 'filths' attitudes weren't present, things would get done. Essendon are notorious as well for hating every one else hence their shitty stagnant screw-everyone-over trade attitude. I know i'm being knit picky but you can't expect other teams to be amicable if we are also harboring a 'whats in it for us' and nobody else Abbott approach. And largely Roos doesn't seem to be that way, seems to get things done with communication and compromise.
  9. Reminds me of Ben Donkey Holland, a somewhat useful addition. Josh Walker would be preferable to Chris Dawes wouldn't he?
  10. This is the kind of mature big bodied grunt i was talking about yesterday and if its for 2 solid years it could be a big win. Is he a bigger risk than an unproven younger small bodied player in Kennedy who has no guarentee he will not be another toumpas that can't handle the heat of stronger players applying pressure ?
  11. Let's not forget we have Jones & Vince to bring in this new generation - They're A graders in their importance on and off the field to us. Imagine if we didn't have them.
  12. I think Roos has gone beyond the stage of giving opportunities to players who repeatedly create momentum crushing turnovers. I'm really glad we're getting rid of Toumpas. Development potentiality doesn't supercede the liability of mistakes. We're now realising that having patience with players who have potential is just as dangerous as your vfl standard players who are filling in the gaps and waiting to be replaced.
  13. Weren't there a heap criticisms of Dangerfield only a year ago about his durability going too heavily into packs without regard for his wellbeing. Selwood in a similar vein. They've got a year or two to gel before they can provide a serious challenge and even then it's dependent on a lot of variables namely how their coach adapts his approach to the Clarko-era. Their window will close very quickly with the advent of some serious young fast stars rising around the competition. Their best chance is their middle and bottom rung players excelling and developing their own intuitive team game style that uses the polish of their aging danger and selwoods in 3-5 years time in the way Hawthorn are doing with Hodge and Burgoyne. But no way are they seriously challenging in the next two years imo. No magic bullet.
  14. It's just a bit of tongue in cheek in reference to the recruitment of a lot of similar players who we are recruiting for run and flash, but not grunt. I just think we could use a bit more grunt all over the park. We have a reputation for having many soft players around the league and that's just a fact. Kennedy could just turn out to be another Toumpas.
  15. Are we recruiting for the end of season calendars these days? Admittedly Brayshaw was an abhoration, but i suppose we had Petracca too. I just hope Kennedy has a bit of terrier in him, otherwise we should probably look to recruit someone with a head like Mick Martyn on him, instead of these soft baby faced sweethearts who add a few games a year worth of excitement but little else. I look forward to being disproven on my initial thoughts.
