MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
So the answer is No? And No, i haven't seen many lose from that position because they weren't good enough to get into it there. Only Sydney in 2016 were good enough to thump the Cats at home. Of course we have our faults and have shown mental weakness in finishing off that game, but if you think 3/5 games will be harder to win than Kardinia Park then you're deluded. Edit: And I fully expect us to have a red hot crack against Adelaide and WCE and potentially win one.

Mitchell coming back to Victoria
Yeah. I've done plenty of screaming and fist pumps when a non-melb team i'm rooting for scores a goal or wins a game. Dogs v Hawks in 2016 from memory also a Pavlich goal in 3rd qtr v Hawks in the GF. I don't think I've betrayed the Dees...

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
I know Zak Jones was quite a nuffy today, but i'd still take him for his pace and contested work - And being trade out of Sydney would be a wake up call to pull his head in. I have to wonder if he has lowered his trade value tonight and we could get in on the cheaper (than before). For eg a sydney fans over the top response: "I’m sick of this [censored]. He’s fast becoming a liability and yeah, not worth it. Would gladly give him away, [censored] a trade."

State of the game
- Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Fascinating. I wonder if it's a comparable situation to Schache for the Dogs second round pick. Or in our case as they don't need picks, for a comparable player like Tyson- Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Looking at the background, she may have already joined the Bombers. An experimental drug injection program would actually explain a couple of.... things.- Mitchell coming back to Victoria
Just keep him away from the 2020 grand final team 20 year reunion.- Mitchell coming back to Victoria
Did Sam Mitchell ever step foot in defence? ? Edit: Said in trade thread, but he'd be perfect midfield coach and mentor to rejuvenate Dom Tysons disposal/footy IQ- Who do we realistically target for a trade?
He'd be the kind of coach that you'd back to mentor Dom Tyson and turn him into an elite disposer of the ball. It's that or we just play him instead of Tyson- Run home to Finals - 2018
@Little Goffy Your brain will break further if you ponder on the fact that if we go into that game 2/4 and GWS are 4/4, then they will probably be locked in 4th and will undoubtedly rest/play bruise free footy and we'll probably finish 6th or so with a win. I kind of think that is a safer option than battling for top 4 and missing out on finals if we lose which is absurd.- Proposed new rules for 2019
The bottom line is to bring about a game that resembles AFL X but with commercials after every goal- Changes vs Adelaide
Cheer squad could sing it, fan violence for a second week in a row would go down well- The No T$ No B$ Thread
- Changes vs Adelaide
He'd still be pretty handy (or glovey) down back- Changes vs Adelaide
Another alternative was bringing in Marcus Seecamp for a hit job- Changes vs Adelaide
Surely we could put Pat McKenna and Lachi Filopivic in defence at the expense of Jetta and Jones, with Daniel Cross filling up space- Run home to Finals - 2018
https://predictor.squiggle.com.au There are some very interesting permutations going on that effect our round 23 match and it's easier to play around than explain. It could either be a game where GWS have top 4 spot sewn up and will rest getting us effectively into the finals (if we only win 1 of Syd/Adel/WCE heading into it) or it could be a top 4 match for US if we beat Adel & Syd ! and Syd beat GWS. The only way that it is a top 4 battle if GWS beat Syd, is if we also win all of our games leading into the match!- Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2022
I bet he signed perfectly on his non-preferred hand too ?- Proposed new rules for 2019
After last week, i hope they bring in a starting zone for opposition kick outs, 10/6/2 perhaps?- Who do we realistically target for a trade?
One idea for a KPD is a cheap stop-gap recruitment for the next 1 or 2 years like Lynden Dunn was. I'm thinking a player like Heath Grundy or even Harry Taylor who have found themselves on the outer in the past two weeks. If Vince retires, Lewis is more injury prone and Lever the re-injury risk im sorry to say will be for a year or two, another senior player could be useful. Though age is your obvious barrier. I'm just not sure there are any experienced 26+ year old defenders out there who are a temporary upgrade on Frost/Omac if we can't afford Steven May.- Andrew Gaff
Which KPD's do you have in mind and what kind of trade/price range are you thinking? Steven May is obviously ideal but could be out of our league and unavailable anyway.- Andrew Gaff
Re Skills, so an improvement on everyone except Oliver, Salem & Fritsch? - Who do we realistically target for a trade?
