Proposed new rules for 2019
After last week, i hope they bring in a starting zone for opposition kick outs, 10/6/2 perhaps?

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
One idea for a KPD is a cheap stop-gap recruitment for the next 1 or 2 years like Lynden Dunn was. I'm thinking a player like Heath Grundy or even Harry Taylor who have found themselves on the outer in the past two weeks. If Vince retires, Lewis is more injury prone and Lever the re-injury risk im sorry to say will be for a year or two, another senior player could be useful. Though age is your obvious barrier. I'm just not sure there are any experienced 26+ year old defenders out there who are a temporary upgrade on Frost/Omac if we can't afford Steven May.

Which KPD's do you have in mind and what kind of trade/price range are you thinking? Steven May is obviously ideal but could be out of our league and unavailable anyway.

Re Skills, so an improvement on everyone except Oliver, Salem & Fritsch?

Will 12 be enough
Anything can happen if you win 15 games (16 if you count tanking in r23 v Freo) in the regular season. Though with the Doggy analogy, realistically I think sneaking in will hold us in good stead for the following year like it may have done for them.

Will 12 be enough
The age of premiership consent is 16

if we do have to match (Like Danger did for Adelaide) I wonder if we can throw Perth origin Jeffy Garlett in as a sweetener (with Tyson + picks). He's getting older, but he'll give them 3 or 4 years of high quality small forward craft i'd have thought. Looks disinterested (in body language) as a demon right now.

Name three good things
2. At least ☘ (who seems like a good bloke) kicked the goal and not ?
-
Name three good things
1. We delivered the goods in a prime time slot, might hold us in good stead when fixturing comes around

Run home to Finals - 2018
I reckon winning both and then losing the next three is more probable

If the Saints/Nth are going to make a godfather offer, then i think we need to do a bit of creative accounting and make some tough decisions on some players, to free up some cap space to offer something resembling their offer at least for the first few years. The incentive of playing for a better team should be enough for him to take unders, you'd hope.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Nah, it's only 600. And 125 in cash under the table to Goodwin.

Nat Fyfe
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought GCS don't really give a flying fudge about high draft picks and throw them around like trading cards, only caring about academies, points and now trading them for elite players

Nat Fyfe
THE Suns have made an audacious play to lure Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe to the Gold Coast. The draft pick rich Suns have offered two first-round picks and potentially another player to Fremantle to get the deal done either in this year’s trade period or next year when Fyfe becomes a restricted free agent. Gold Coast currently have two picks in the top ten in this year’s draft, plus whatever they receive for out-of-contract midfielder Dion Prestia who wants out of the Suns and is believed to have nominated Richmond as his destination of choice. Gold Coast Suns set to launch audacious bid for Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe

Nat Fyfe
“Nat is clearly a very demanding leader at times and certainly knows what he wants. We love that about him. We really respect that,” Mundy said. It's my personal opinion that Fyfe is the kind of player and person that would want to be the captain of a football club, it's well documented that He and Mundy were competing for it. Have you seen footage of him in the rooms and onfield? He's a very dominant presence. He's 24 now so I think within 3 years would be the timeframe for him. I'm not an insider, i'm just an outsider offering my opinion. No need to be so abrupt with the response Jack. As I said, Viney will be the captain for 7+ years i'd assume so I don't think Fyfe would come to Melb for that reason. Other clubs will offer a leadership and captain role in the near future and that's why I think he will go there. There is more than ONE club offering potential premiership success. I'm not downplaying what we have to offer.

Nat Fyfe
To get FYFE over the line I suspect you'd need to offer him a vision of the club with him in some sort of leadership role immediately, but captaincy further down the line but no less than 3 years. I think any club offering him that would be a chance. St Kilda do not have the most immediate leader to replace Riewoldt and should offer him captaincy within 3 years or straight away in the style of the Chris Judd trade. I don't think it would breed discontent in the ranks if captaincy is what it takes to get him into the club. If I was Carlton, Richmond, Essendon or Nth Melb, I'd do the same. Melb is a tricky situation, this is probably why I think Fyfe will not come to Melbourne as there seems to be an unofficial plan in place for Viney to become a captain of the club for the rest of his career. I'm not disagreeing with Viney being captain, I'm just offering my viewpoint as to why Fyfe is not a good fit for the Dees. Though our club guernsey would be a pretty nice looking fit on him.

Delistings
I'd consider trading him and Chris Dawes to Brisbane for Daniel Merrett. No point splitting them up.

Current Television
I'd add 'Bloodline' to that list, criminally underrated at present as it might be a little slow for some. Stars Ben Mendelsohn who was nominated for best supporting actor but lost to Mr Robot's Christian Slater. Now two seasons in and it's almost as gripping as Breaking Bad in terms of causes and effects, twists and turns Also enjoyed 'Rectify' if you want a slow burning show that follows the rehabilitation of a wrongfully convicted man who has been in prison for 10+ years

Can he take a lie detector test for us: Do you harbor any intention to return to your home town of Geelong to be close to mummy and daddy when your contract expires ? Has the thought "gee i'd at least like to have a few years back home before i finish?" ever crossed your mind?
