  1. Maybe it's just me and what I want to see. I don't want to see unskillful hacks rewarded with the benefit of the doubt. Player made a choice to not pick it up, should wear the consequences of where it goes.
  2. "it was horrific' isn't reasoning. Here's my expansion. Umpire cannot see the face of the player to guess if he deliberately kicked it to the boundary or not, all he can see is a player hacked it towards the boundary. Why do we want the umpire to have to look if it was an accident? Do you want him to ask the player? It's different to a long bomb that BOUNCES to the left away from its original path.
  3. If you choose to soccer it off the ground then pay the price if it goes wayward. Why should umpire have to guess the intention of the player.
  4. We may as well recruit him in 2021 for nothing and get some closure.
  5. Anyone who had their money on a Firstmond & Ninthbourne double is halfway there.
  6. Pretty hard for Goody to foresee the demise of Jayden Hunt this year.
  7. Hawthorn with Worpell at 45 or so last year too.
  8. You can't trade Watts and not trade Garlett imo. Papers stamped. I hope someone is willing to give us a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Does anyone have an approximation on how much of an offer we would have actually been able to put forward?
  10. Or we could play 4th placed Russian roulette in the event of our slim chances of a win over WCE. So this week you hope for a Port win over the Pies & A GWS win over Sydney. Next week: Sydney win over Hawthorn & WCE win over Brisbane. This means GWS are immoveably locked in 3rd pre-r23 and a win gets us 4th. Optional improbable extra: St K d Haw this week & Freo d Coll next week. Those upsets would also clear up the way for 4th (making Port d Coll & Syd d Haw unnecessary) *We can also get 3rd if GWS lose 0/2 and Haw, Syd & Coll all lose 1/2
  11. Yeah. I guess i got caught up in it being similar dimensions to the MCG than where we've played them in the past at Subi. Which is a little on the agenda in how we cope with their spread.

You forgot the Footy IQ category 137 - 85

Maybe we could squeeze out one of their players. Ben Jacobs is arguably the leagues best tagger and hasn't re-signed. He obviously has concussion issues right now, but we do have a good track record with Brayshaws recovery so far.
  14. I think he survives because of Garletts performance, can't be playing musical chairs with the forward line. Plain and simple
  15. I'd complain a fair bit about him as a teen when he couldnt take marks, but my dad would often correct me by telling me that he was there primarily to crash packs and bring it to ground.

The best CHB vs The worst CHF (Developmentally) He'll be eaten alive
  17. They probably took it as seriously as Bayley fritsch did

Seems like a waste of a player/coaches continuing chronology to not bump an old thread. So i google the "name and demonland" to see if one has been made before and notice it is quite interesting in hindsight and perhaps it would be of some interest to others, at least for a laugh!
  19. You're a masochist DZ. That sounds like 20 minutes of my life i'd want back.

My question is. What if they're comfortable giving Tom Barass a go on TMAC, and throwing Jeremy McGovern on Weideman? We'd be absolutely [censored].
  21. StKilda in 2012 with 123% - I looked it up after the Hawthorn/Collingwood games as I knew with our run home, it was looming. A thread was created on reddit a few days ago as the possibility has finally dawned on the entire competition.
  22. Ideally Hogan plays an Adel-Tom Lynch type of roaming HF. He was doing it in the first half of the year, i'm confused as to why he hasn't been doing it in the second half? Foot injury would explain why it seems
  23. Interesting stat about 4 goals in 5 games against top 8 teams. Not averse to exploring the Dylan Shiel idea more. Absolute gun. But he seems like captain material though so I think he'll stay.
