Farewell Jesse Hogan
Unfortunately the good faith philosophy doesn't work with teams with victim complexes and hatred of victorian clubs. But conversely it also might mean that we may strike a good deal with Gold Coast with a later pick like 8 or 11 for Steven may as they seem to have been accomodating in the past.

Would Freo do the Neale trade if we refused to let Hogan go for those picks? They'd be forced into a long-term rebuild with only picks 8,11,13,20 etc and Lobb!

What if... Lachie Neale is now available? Brisbane are either bluffing, or they've given away on getting him because of Freo's stubborness. Is Lachie Neale and pick 11 out of the question? I do rate Neale. And if we managed to use 11 + player + picks to get Steven May, then we'd be laughing. Just a thought. A far fetched one at that. I do however think Brisbane are bluffing and using this to get Freo to do the pick 5 deal though.

They won 1 from their last 17 matches and then just lost their Full forward and full back, how can they possibly finish higher than the bottom 4? Pick 3 next year is just about locked in. Edit: They also have the same percentage as 1995 Fitzroy.

When i saw the Port/Freo pick swap, i had a feeling that Freo will try and push us for a few days to take the 20's pick. We still have some time to go I think.

Hypothetically, if we'd lost Frawley for pick 11 and Sam Frost, while the other club kept pick 5 - i would have been livid. No way would Gold Coast accept that. Has to be another 2nd or collection of picks followed by our finest poker face to get it over the line.

Port were willing to give overs to get pick 6 mate! Losing 11, Frost and our 2nd round pick or so is going to be far more pallatable than watching an elite pick 5 talent in other colors.

Tuned in to the trade radio to see what they were saying the picks just to kill some boredom, and they're debating gary rohan being top 8 in geelong or not. FMD

How about Sam Frost and a pick in the 30's with 11? I'm not sure i'd take that as a GC fan. They'd probably only take 5 as they can't be bothered asking for more to bring it to that pick 3 comparable trade that they'd get next year. Pick 11 couldn't possibly be on their agenda without A LOT of sweetness.

The clash- Farewell Jesse Hogan
What? He'll kick 55 goals, miss 5 games through injury and be in the top 5 for assists league wide, business as usual.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Given Frost wouldn't even be first depth with Omac + Lever working just fine this year. Surely Frost could be asked if he wanted to go, given a lack of opportunities with us.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yeah. We're all popping in at various times due to being in different parts of the world. Stuff will be rehashed between different people.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
This all hinges on whether we have permission to use next years first round pick. I'd have thought. Do we? Those media [censored] are so consumed with Hogan/May pick swapping, that they've never talked about this question.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Mahoney said stiffening up defence was one of 3 priorities we plan to address in trade week, this tells me that no back 6 arrangement we had this year is satisfactory going forward. So if Hogan stays, the question is do we have another recruit in mind? Do we wait for 1 year for May? Does Hogan staying/extending include his happiness to play anywhere in particularly at CHB?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Would like to hear mahoney answer a question of what will be done in defence if Hogan stays. Do we have a plan b recruit or May next year?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Something to do with Mahoney listing stiffening up defence as 1 of 3 priorities. Hogan at chb is speculative- Farewell Jesse Hogan
"Yet the club is prepared to give a fringe ruckman a four-year deal. " Geez now i know how it feels to be a Labor MP taking a hammering from an agenda driven Murdoch rag- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
I'd eat a Sylvia Bennell [censored] sandwich for pick 5 & 6 though. Party in Bali on minimum afl wage for 3 years.- Farewell Dom Tyson
Fair enough. But I do think we're underselling him a little. Put him back in the middle where he was a runner up in the 2014 best and fairest (4th in 2016) with dedicated minutes and he can excel again. Becoming a regular 30 disposal player. Zaharakis pushed to wing, Dev Smith at HBF. His stats take a noticeable dip this year because of being played out of position. Anyway, the initial comment above about 'those fans' supposes that we're all on the same page in regards to Tysons value. I think he has a big upside that a few clubs will at least bite on a 30-40 pick. Perhaps that's not enough for Tipungwati, but i don't think it's as clear cut. A season or two more of inconsistency and he'd be potentially on the table to address a deficiency somewhere else. Re Garlett, well who knows if he can switch it on again with senior selection somewhere else. He isn't at a retirement age yet.- Farewell Dom Tyson
Tyson is depth because we bat deep (Well actually he was best 22 in our finals) - Essendon don't bat deep, therefore he's best 22. How is that madness? We're not 'sending' to a good home, we're trading because of surplus. Edit: And from my understanding from a few Bomber fans, Tipungwati is not a consistent performer. He can be patchy and also a one way runner. There are drawbacks to both Tipungwati & Tyson.- Farewell Dom Tyson
