  1. The Saints play Geelong and Carlton after Richmond. That sucks
  2. "Got thru the Oliver tackle" Yeah it was like being brushed with a piece of paper
  3. Jesus Horn Francis is going to cook Oliver if he's playing at full forward
  4. Jaeger o'smeara by foot. Worst advantage and inside 50 at a critical moment, you've ever seen.
  5. "Just trying to contest, no malice in it" Said every single ex footballer in the commentary box ever.
  6. Loves rubbing it into the opposition by the looks of that thumbnail
  7. The Cats are going to win the flag aren't they. We can't have nice things anymore
  8. Or just take their forward
  9. Orange Tsunami winning a flag against the Swans would be the ideal turn of events for me
  10. "Darcy Jones has done it again, Mr Darcy Now he's throwing in Jane Austen references lmao
  11. The kid with a coloured lid has point the Giants in front" Huddo is the King of the commentary box
  12. We must've flipped over to an alternate universe where the Saints picked Petracca and McCartin retired from the Dees 2 years ago. I think a transition period of 3+ years would be ideal for Christian from next year or 2026 through to 2028+ Then we'll see which young player will have stepped up.
  13. A part of me wanted Sydney to lose to throw the top 4/8 race wide open, just for the chaos of it. I guess we'll just have to settle for Sydney getting an armchair ride into a GF and Collingwood being knocked out.
  14. I'd rate those picks: Solid, Liquid, Gaseous, in that order.
  15. https://www.zerohanger.com/former-top-two-draft-pick-one-to-watch-ahead-of-off-season-afl-trade-news-153804/ Gold Coast tall Jack Lukosius has been flagged as "one to watch" this off-season as the Suns' own list planning could see the former Pick 2 selection 'squeezed out' of Carrara. Lukosius, a product out of South Australia, has long been linked to a potential return to his home state despite inking a four-year deal that has him tied to the Suns for the next two years. His placing in a Suns jumper has fluctuated over the course of his 115-game career, with the 23-year-old utilised in attack, defence and on the wing after being drafted as one of the best forwards in his class in 2018 - a pool that included teammate Ben King. In Damien Hardwick's first year at the helm of the league's second-youngest club, Lukosius has spent time at either end of the field and has struggled to have the same impact on the game as he did last year when he booted a career-high 39 goals from 22 matches in a promising partnership with King. While the latter has taken his game to new heights in 2024, Lukosius has somewhat plateaued - booting more than two goals on just one occasion since the club's season opener against Richmond. Amid Hardwick's reported interest in luring Richmond dasher Daniel Rioli to the Gold Coast, News Corp's Jay Clark has earmarked Lukosius as a potential player of interest ahead of this year's trade period. "He's one to watch and he's a bit tied up in the Richmond situation," Clark told the Midweek Tackle. "Jack Lukosius' future at Gold Coast does really feel like it's a bit up in the air at the moment. Gold Coast Suns pair Jack Lukosius and Zak Evans compete for the ball at training in 2024 (Image via Gold Coast FC/AFL Photos) "Because if Daniel Rioli goes north to join forces with Damien Hardwick up there at the Suns, then does that squeeze out Jack Lukosius or does that make his future a little bit uncertain? "Certainly there's a bit of talk around the traps that the Suns could look at a move to bring in Rioli and maybe Lukosius is on the way out." Both Adelaide and Port Adelaide could hold an interest in Luksoius this year, with the Power potentially a more suitable landing spot as they enter a period of change for their key position stocks. The Power currently don't have an early selection for this year's draft and would be reluctant to part with further picks, however they could attain a stronger draft hand if defender Dan Houston's links to a Victorian return grow stronger. Adelaide might be in the running for Lukosius, but the Crows will need to hold onto draft selections for 2024 father-son prospect Tyler Welsh, who would be viewed as a key forward in their future planning alongside Darcy Fogarty and Riley Thilthorpe, while their defensive assets are already formidable.
  16. Jack Lukosius was brought up on the midweek tackle a week ago as potentially being up for trade, not too sure how much substance it has. I think a few mentioned on this forum that they were interested in him and his disposal by foot. Could be had for a mid-late 2nd round pick, maybe even less.
  17. Discussing fitness coaches is exhausting work
  18. Well given our track record of targeting and luring players over like Lever, May and Langdon, then I personally think/guess that he both wants to come home, and wants to only join the Dees. Probably because of how we've approached him and told him how we want to use him next year, and he's sold. I also don't think he would be so desperate to go home that he'd want to go to any victorian club, but it's all just guessing at this stage. Given this came out of Callum Twomey's mouth and he said so causally and emphatically that it's us who's after him, I think means he's been on the phone and has spoken to his contacts. He's a reputable person in a media landscape devoid of it. Smoke/Fire
  19. Fair enough. Although wasn't he a restricted free agent ? Had something to do with Adelaide wanting something better than Pick 15 compo but also Geelong not giving away too much, given he could be had for free a year later. Can't think of another comparable trade. I do echo your sentiments about wanting something back but maybe we're all guessing about Port and his relationship. Maybe Houston doesn't mind waiting a year or two to move, so they'll hold out for a good deal. I'm forgetting but wasn't it an Essendon player that got held to the contract and traded a year later? Daniher? Edit: Josh Dunkley! He was held to "ransom" and the club and player didn't seem to care. And got on with business for a year until the next trade period.
  20. If I was to defend Twomey or Landburger, it would be that their podcast is so short and time limited that they're not going to get into the intricacies of pick and player swaps going both ways to make it more amenable to both parties. He's going to give a ballpark amount based on his value. So of course we shouldn't do that trade UNLESS something mouth watering is coming back either a player or their first round pick if they make a prelim which I think they the might be willing to give up eg Pick7+F1+F2 for Houston+Pick 15*
  21. I still maintain to this day that he was kindly trying to remove a bit of fluff under Brayshaws chin
  22. It's admirable that you're arguing for us to give up the bare minimum and get back more. You really have the Dees best wishes in your heart. Unfortunately that's not how it works. We don't have the upper hand at all. Port will just keep him if they don't get a high value. Why would Port give away their AA half back for a kid who's not even in the top 10 of players in this or next years draft? Would you do that trade last year for a 27 year old Jake Lever? Or just keep him? IF we split our first rounder and only offer a late pick in the teens, then it's not us who will be improving our other picks as you mentioned, but them. And dramatically. As for the talk of two firsts. It was Callum Twomey on gettable that first mentioned it. He's far more reputable than one of SEN's talkback hosts. Although I think He just rates Houston that highly and doesn't have any knowledge on any dealings between clubs. Edit: Got him confused with Sam Edmund lol.
  23. Schache to backie? Wacky
