  1. Viney and Gawn out. Two massive outs.
  2. 100% agree on this. It wasn’t an obvious high tackle and I could see why AnB would continue tackling him because Hamill wouldn’t let go of the ball. It’s complete double standards if Burgoyne gets a slap on the wrist and AnB gets 3+ weeks.
  3. Adelaide are absolute puss. They are easily the poorest team in the competition right now and we’re just fluffing around with it. If we don’t come out with some killer instinct in the second half and put this game to bed, this game and season is dead.
  4. Although I thought OMac has been decent since his return, and maybe even gained some credits in the bank, he just had to be dropped after his performance last week. If you let a 3rd gamer dominate you like that with such loose checking, it’s gotta be an automatic, no questions asked, dropping. He’ll be back though. And I have no doubt he won’t let a 3rd gamer fly for a mark unopposed like that 30s into the game ever again.
  5. I can very easily see us losing this game. Crows home crowd, they’ve made 8 changes and brought in a few debuts who some of the fans have been screaming for. The crows will smell blood and they have just as big of a point to prove.
  6. What’s that military quote about plans? I think it’s something like “No plan survives first contact with the enemy” I reckon Goodwin needs to print that out and put in the coaches box just so he’s reminded to make changes.
  7. Like many others, I’m loving the direct questions from Ben. I feel like these sort of questions were missing over the years from our media dept.
  8. After re-watching that, it honestly looks like a lot of those mistakes are just from pure laziness and lack of concentration. Oliver's kick in the centre of the ground is the best example. There was no concentration at all with that kick and was just pure laziness. I don't think you can chalk that up to just being tired, that's an attitude thing and he clearly didn't care enough about executing a basic fundamental.
  9. Hahaha this is pretty funny. I honestly haven’t heard anything about Watts in ages. I assume he’s still back in Adelaide rehabbing his leg?
  10. Agree, I think Tmac has to come in, either as another forward or on a wing drifting forward. Clurey and Jonas are both big boys and may start rag dolling Weid and Jacko. We'll need him there as another option.
  11. I'd say he's become 2018's Dom Tyson more like it. Brilliant 2 seasons beforehand but now on the outer and can't play a wing role.
  12. No one is dropping Harmes, even if he did have a poor game.
  13. Very harsh on Lockhart. He was actually pretty good tonight. Secured his spot for next week.
  14. 2020 in itself has been weird, but Omac being in the best 22 over Tmac is not something most DLanders would have predicted!
  15. I think @goodwindees mentioned that surgery was already booked by the time the players finished up on Sunday night. My best guess is that Burgo/Goody didn’t release the news because they wanted to see how the surgery went and what the surgeon’s advice was on a return to play. That way they can give one update such as “had surgery out for 2 weeks” rather the news being fragmented over a couple of days.
  16. I’ve been watching all the video content the club has put out lately, and Ben has been doing a really good job. His questions are well thought out and often asks similar questions to what a supporter may ask. This is another great example.
  17. He played the week before against the Saints and took a few grabs (just checked 2015 round 11 via AFL app). That was the game where they won by a kick right before the siren after Toumpas left Montagna unchecked. It was this loss that caused some soul searching and helped us with that big win against the Cats.
  18. I thought Brayshaw was actually pretty good. His kicking was a bit off, but still a good game. Also seriously impressed with OMac, I’ve been a big critic, like many others on here, but he’s put on good size over the preseason and looks quite reliable now. I can’t think of anyone who had a poor game today, it was one of the most balanced team performances since the ‘18 finals series.
  19. He'll get there if he deserves his spot. The club can't gift games so that individuals can reach personal milestones. Jarryd Roughead was close (283) but didn't get to 300 either.
  20. So glad we got the win. At one stage in the last qtr I had the thought that a first gamer is single handedly ending Neville Jetta’s career. For once I think I can say that we won it at selection. All 4 ins fired.
  21. 6 - Viney. Almost gave it to Gawn but Viney was unbelievable with his attack on the footy from half time. He did everything possible to make sure we didn’t lose. 5 - Gawn. Immense game and has been in awesome form. 4 - Salem. Awesome first half and really set the tone with some aggression and clean entries. 3 - Petracca. Would have probably been BoG if he didn’t kick at like 40% efficiency. Clutch goal though at the end. 2 - Langdon. I felt some of his hard running really helped us get into great position. 1 - AvB. His second half was huge and won a heap of crucial contests. Apologies to Hibbo who continued his excellent form.
  22. Feeling the same way. Think all the media heat and the hub will galvanise the group.
  23. He's a mate of Goody's since Essendon days "Citing his friendship with incoming coach, Simon Goodwin, as the key reason for his move to Melbourne" (source wikipedia) Hibbo is also close mates with Goody. Hibbo took his dropping on the chin and has come back to reward Goody with some fantastic efforts so far. Melksham, on the other hand, is taking advantage of this friendship and putting in some [censored] poor efforts. Goody needs to drop him and make him earn his spot.
  24. Thought I'd revive this tread... Do we have a full-time forward coach yet? Or is it Justin Plapp performing it a long with his role as midfield coach? Seems awfully ironic that the worst i-50 converting team in the AFL doesn't have a forwards coach.
  25. This site would probably crash if "no changes" are announced again.
