  1. That’s light on Frost. Him and Omac were horrible in the first quarter.
  2. I feel sorry for all those fans who have travelled to Perth and those at Fed square. an absolute pathetic display.
  3. Nup, the Pies aren’t that good. They took it up to West Coast but couldn’t get the job done. They almost lost to a Giants team who didn’t show up until the second qtr plus DeGoey put on a masterclass. They played a Richmond team who couldn’t get going at all and Cox played his best game in 10 weeks. If we get through tomorrow, I fancy our chances much more than if the results were reversed tonight.
  4. He's got a long career ahead of him and he's part of a football team that is going to have sustained success for years to come. He'll get another chance.
  5. I like our chances against Collingwood so I’m hoping for a Pies win.
  6. Smith absolutely butchered the ball against Adelaide so as long as he lets Lewis or Salem do the kicking, then I’m ok with this change.
  7. I'm pretty sure Trident, Redlegs etc were all available for purchase this year, I remember almost selecting one of them but thought it wasn't worth the money... serves me right!
  8. Can someone explain how this 50% split allocation works for the members of both clubs? Because, I've read now that the game is pretty much sold out. So, I'm wondering if there's only like 2,600 Melbourne members going, when does ticketmaster concede that it's not going to be 50% Melbourne and let the floodgates go for the rest of the eagles members to get tickets to bring the ratio to like 96% eagles 4% Melbourne?
  9. The one year I get a 3 game membership in like 10 years because I went to Europe for 5 weeks and now shafted to P3. Going to always get a red legs from now on.
  10. That clapping was awesome!
  11. Seems awfully low doesn’t it? Wouldn’t we have maybe 1000 supporters living in Perth alone?
  12. Unfortunately I can’t convince the wife that this is a good way to spend money so I’m saving for a GF ticket (knock on wood) Is anyone looking into chartering a plane? These guys are doing it for Eagles supporters in case they make it. https://thewest.com.au/sport/west-coast-eagles/afl-grand-final-west-coast-eagles-fans-already-booking-seats-on-charter-flight-to-melbourne-ng-b88955411z
  13. Great post. A lot of the players (and Goody) lamented our first half in terms of pressure, attack on the ball, tackles and contested possessions. They won’t make the same mistake next week. In a hostile territory, I suspect we’ll be breathing fire at the bounce.
  14. Eagles are 11-0 with Kennedy and Darling in the side this year. That’s the only stat I’m worried about. Beat those two and we win the game.
  15. People are delusional if they think J. Smith is going to play his first final in a Prelim. If there's anyone who will come in, it'll be Vince.
  16. Such an amazing game to be at. It was good to see so many Demons fans show up. To beat Thursday night’s attendance is outstanding! Can’t wait to watch the pre-match, match and post-match on Fox tomorrow that I IQed.
  17. Are the $35 GA tickets allocated specific seats or just an area? Was planning on going with an MCC friend with a visitor ticket (but sold out) so I’m wondering if we can still sit in GA area with my ticket and he gets in with his MCC pass.
  18. It’ll probably still be short of the vitriol you threw at Jack Watts over the years.
  19. I’d still prefer Macca running the defensive coach role over Chaplin. He was a spud of a player and has zero runs on the board as a coach.
  20. It says on the MFC website that Macca is a player development coach but according to the article he also shares with defensive line coach role? Makes it even worse that we have two defensive coaches and yet it’s a complete shambles at the moment.
  21. Maybe Goodwin thinks Macca down there will get the message across to the players but Macca didn’t want to go? (Being optimistic here) Tom Morris is a Dees fan and hosts that inside Melbourne podcast, but not sure how good his sources are regarding the reason.
  22. I like Hogan but he doesn't have the athletic leap of someone like a Joe Danniher, Ben Brown or Tom Lynch. Hogan is more of your classic FF/CHF mould like Jonathon Brown. I have no doubt he's still going to be a star but he's not going to be in the same category as the aforementioned 3.
  23. Good post. Somehow get the feeling though that even if McCartin just turns into just a good AFL footballer he'll never cop the same level of criticism as Watts did even though it's a very similar debate.
  24. I'd love for Roosy to stay at Melbourne in some capacity next year. However, if we somehow make the finals this year, everyone in the footballing community will be calling him a genius and will be targeted by the next struggling club to take over and emulate the same thing (e.g. Perhaps Richmond).
