CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Although it’s our home game, I think we’ll be outnumbered 10-1 in supporters. Whatever we gained from last year’s season in terms of our supporters attendance, we’ve receded it back to 2015.

We must play Frost on a wing & Fritsch forward.
Frost needs to take a leaf out of what Chip Frawley did. Stopped trying to do smart dinky/short kicks and just chose safe options when he has ball in hand. He has to know his limitations. Intercept the ball and then just kick it long boundary side.

POSTMATCH: Rd 19 vs St. Kilda
No improvement tonight at all. Goody better not use the improvement line. Won’t win another game this year.

POSTMATCH: Rd 19 vs St. Kilda
It’s not just 2019. This is the new standard. Expect it in 2020.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs St Kilda
Their tackling has killed us. Just a rubbish side we are. 80 something points conceded on turn over. another last qtr fade out. Just [censored] off

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs St Kilda
That was just disgraceful from him. It is an indictment on the match committee that he is selected.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs St Kilda
Losing: contested possessions uncontested possessions inside 50s tackles marks inside 50

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs St Kilda
Players are going to be exhausted with all this back and forth. Cue a last qtr overrun

Omac actually does look slightly bigger.

Future of the NT
I'd prefer just the Alice game and make it against the Gold Coast Suns each year.

Roos + Lyon - On The Couch
A great example of the FD offloading a highly skilled player (what we need right now) and retaining players "with a competitive edge" (like AnB) who actually costs us games of football.
-
Roos + Lyon - On The Couch
Have to agree with this. Lyon makes his comments purely based off emotional reasoning, e.g. "they showed no fight", and often overlooks the tactical reasons as to why we lost the game.
-
Roos + Lyon - On The Couch
Roos said his piece at the start. Focused on what Melbourne supporters would like to see in the last 5 rounds. Lyon just wanted to get that off his chest and probably shared the sentiment of a lot of Melbourne supporters. Calling last year an aberration is a big call from Lyon. We have to go out and beat the Saints this Saturday night. If we don’t, there’s no way we’re going into next year with a level of positivity.

Jordan Lewis is NOT cooked, give him 1 more season.
He'll be a FT media person next year as well as working on his Wine business.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
Making a prelim doesn’t excuse anything. Grant Thomas got sacked after making the finals. Ratten took the Blues to the finals the previous 3 years and got sacked (which in hindsight was bad). Goodwin’s Record will be below 50% after this season ends. If we fail to make finals next year I can’t see him surviving.

From Prelim To Wooden Spoon?
Objectively speaking, Dees are the wooden spooners this year. You can’t really count the GC Suns with all their club issues.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
It’s well known that the poorer umpires get the least popular time slots (such as Sunday). Get used to it, because we’ll get a heap of Sunday games next year and we’ll be lucky to get one Friday night.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
Laughable that some on here questioned the FD’s decision not to pick him earlier this season. The least fittest bloke on our list by a mile. Todd Viney would have beaten him in the 3km time trial.

40pt loss I think today. JK to break his form slump and kick 5.

POSTGAME: Rd17 vs Bulldogs
We have been the unluckiest team all year when it comes to playing teams and their form going into the game. Essendon (turned it around against us and won 3 straight) Saints (world beaters at the time) Richmond (before most of their injuries) Collingwood (before their form drop off) Dogs (turned it around a couple of weeks before us) Even our wins against Freo, Carlton and the Suns we came up against them in good form. The only team I can think of we were lucky with is Sydney.
