MFC AGM
Feel like we've had a fair few of these kind of celebrations into the new season type events this year already. It's been done to death now. If people are still wanting reason to celebrate then watch the replay. Our sole focus should be on 2022 season.

The Preseason Cup
No. Play the one practice game or two and leave it as that. The set up now is fine imo. When you're playing 3 or 4 games before round 1 you're just risking injuries to key players well before round 1 has even started. The relevance of the whole pre season cup has died a slow death years ago when Carlton were winning pre season premierships but end up winning the wooden spoon that very same year.

Captains Run Casey Fields 2/3/2022
I'm still shocked we gave him another year. He's a list clogger.

Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
Yes I am aware that schools are finally opening up Bash.. I am talking as a whole for the past 18 months which you are pretty much referring too. You're not going to get a rush of AFL players into schools for a while if not any this year. The risk on player's now catching covid will be significant and clubs will still be putting restrictions on player's being put and about in the community.

He's been training down back all summer. Half back will be his new role.

Great! Hopefully a few dee supporters can get down and see some of our talent on display. Guys like Van Rooyen, Woewodin, AMW, Laurie and Howes would be worth the watch.- This is Demon Spirit
I like this one too- 2021 Premiership Flag unfurling for Round 1 against Bulldogs
They were still our club captains regardless what you think of them as players. They went through the darkest period in the clubs history and barely saw any light. They deserved to be part of it just as much as these blokes. Lyon, Neitz, Viney had their turns last December on the MCG. Jack Grimes captained more games then Todd Viney FYI. I am not wanting this discussion to be seen at potting those names, far from it. They too are a part of our rich history. But if we're acknowledging past players who have made significant impact at this club then Trenners and Grimes deserved to be recognised as well.- Daisy weighs up offer to join Geelong as AFL Assistant Coach
That would be a great opportunity for Daisy. I hope she takes up the offer for the benefit of her own coaching development.- 2021 Premiership Flag unfurling for Round 1 against Bulldogs
Disappointed once again that Grimes and Trengove continue to get overlooked in all this.- POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
Yes fair call. I'm a bit harsh on Smith at times just because his football nous worries me. But seeing that Goody was willing to put his balls on the line and select Smith over a well established defender in Hibberd was such a significant call, especially so late in the year coming up to finals. I think it was a courageous selection and showed why Goodwin isn't afraid to just play safe. You could mount the same case for Jake Bowey. Had Smith not got injured people's perception including myself, would have changed because we would be talking about Smith the premiership player. It's well obvious that coaching staff rate him enormously and have for a while. His body has let him unfortunately. I'd personally have no issues with him playing round 1.- POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
You could mount a case that every key forward last year was rubbish against us because we had a All Australian full back and an All Australian intercepting 3rd defender. No key forward was going to get past through them. 'Bin', I can't stand Daniher more then anyone. His face is punchable and he proved what a [censored] of a bloke he is by going after Jake Bowey in the first final before he [censored] himself when May and Viney retaliated. But he's not a rubbish footballer 'Bin'. Before injuries got hold of him he kicked 65 goals back in 2017 as a 22 year old and he was destined for superstar status. That's an amazing achievement for a young key forward at that age. Even this year alone after finally having a full season injury he still managed 46 goals which is a good outcome from a key forward especially someone who's had significant injuries that nearly ended his career. It's no wonder Sydney were willing to pay big and Brisbane actually did. Any team that has Joe Daniher still worries me because on his good day he can still kick 7.1. A bad day though is him kicking 2.6 You saying Smith would have Daniher's measure is simply laughable mate. Smith is nothing but depth at the moment and I would absolutely cringe and tear my hair out if I saw Smith standing next to Daniher because he would be far too good for him.- PREGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
Oliver also training.. Fair to say that there were no injury concerns to come out of last week's game?- PREGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
I had some concerns that Salem might have had a serious injury but going off today's training he seems fine which is good news.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Footy has changed significantly since those days. So effectively 1 permanent winger has won the brownlow in what 40 odd years. Buckley was effectively an inside midfielder who could also rest up forward or half back. Not sure how much you saw of Buckley but his ultimate best was when he was starting in the middle. He was rarely a winger.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Which players?- POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne

Pretty offensive to Oliver.. Oliver is 10 times above the talent of Cripps. Other then that, a good summary. - Casey Demons 2022
