  1. Which we certainly can. Doggies won a flag with no genuine top line key forward in 2016. Richmond won a flag in 2017 with Jack Riewoldt and Josh Caddy as their two key forwards believe it or not. If Ben Brown can at least get back into some form then I think we'll be okay. Just need a chop put from Gawn/Jackson and even Weideman to step up as well.
  2. I've always been in the camp that we leave Petty down back because how valuable he is. Right now though, our forward structure is not working. Don't think shifting Petty up forward against Geelong is a good move considering he'll most likely take Cameron. I'd probably look at the move once Turner is available to play. I've lost confidence in Tomlinson after he got smashed by Sam Reid. Can only give it a go right?
  3. I got a bit bored and randomly thought of past player in Michael Newton. Thought I'd compare the numbers. Maybe we underrated Juice?
  4. I'm biased, but having worked and seen Brayden George come through the Murray Bushrangers ranks, he's as close to another Christian Petracca as you'll see. Explosive forward/mid who can certainly do damage when resting up forward but also just as significant when playing up in the midfield.
  5. Loved Pedo. I reckon his career best form was when he became our makeshift ruckman when Gawn went down in 2017. I remember clearly a game against Essendon where he gave Tom Bellchambers an absolute bath. He was also so reliable around the ground that some of his contested marking around the ground was elite. He gave lion hearted efforts in the ruck and I think that year alone he won many respect of supporters. I was waiting for that kind of performance from Weideman and M Brown on the weekend but just wasn't quiet there. Both did well to compete but.
  6. Pretty sure there was footage of him training with the lads in Adelaide.
  7. I really don't see the benefit of Mitch Brown playing at all. Given a shot in 2 games this year and did sweet FA in both. Poor JVR has to miss a VFL game tomorrow because he is a travelling emergency. Wouldnt you just play the kid ahead of someone that's 32 and way past it and then certainty to be delisted at years end..
  8. Anyway, on a more serious note.. what's Pedo up to these days??
  9. Slipped over walking to his kitchen table to sign his new contract. Contract now being put on hold..
  10. Nailed it again..
  11. Well done on the Clayon Oliver call mate!
  12. Holy [censored]! This has honestly not only made my day but made my year!
  13. Fantastic news. He didn't look out of place at AFL level against Collingwood and hopefully he is back soon from his injury. His family would be stoked.
  14. I just see her as s brand new recruit. If we're able to pull this off this will be a huge get for us! Just adds further fire power alongside Harris.
  15. Yes but at the time Kennedy wasn't considered a gun in the same way as what Jackson is now. Kennedy was indeed an early draft selection, but there was certainly commentary that he was already looking like an early selection bust for Carlton. Kennedy was a set of steak knives in the deal. Jackson is the full samurai sword.
  16. At the time, Josh Kennedy wasn't considered a gun. He was in and out of the senior team and was also playing VFL for the Northen Bullants Completely different scenario.
  17. You really do struggle to understand how a player trade works don't you..
  18. You do realise he's out of contract? It's not like he's contracted and we can control what he can and can't do. If you're not wanting Freo to come to the party, especially if he has nominated them, then he can walk straight to the PSD (very unlikely outcome as we WILL trade with whoever he nominates between both WA clubs).
  19. Jesus we are quick to turn on our own so drastically. Only just the weekend many were praising his performance as an individual. Next minute people are pretty much are calling him a [censored] for possibly wanting him to go home to his family. Whilst I would be disappointed if he left I would not begrudge him for going home if that was the case. No ONE even knows what his current circumstance may be. Even if he is missing his family we shouldn't be so quick judge and put the kid down. For all we know he may just be struggling with home sickness and potentially that's affected his mental health to some degree. Disappointing to read on here the so called parents are the ones questioning Jackson's character. Times have changed and just because your kids may have adjusted moving out, some don't adjust as easily.
