  1. And one angle showed his fingers clearly bent. Seriously if this was May touching this you'd all be lauding what a herculean effort it was.
  2. Good side Carlton. Was surprised with the cockiness of some on here during the week that we'd win easily. They were missing Cerra Walsh McGovern which is impressive in itself. They'll do some damage come September. They're a genuine top 4 contender in my eyes. I think we'll be fine. There is some positives to take out of this game imo and I think a loss like this actually keeps us back on edge. On the negatives. Grundy forward experiment is officially done. It simply doesn't work and we're playing a man down when he's down there. Slow, unfit and brought in off the back off poor form at VFL level. Goody has done a lot right in the last month, but he made a mistake bringing him in tonight. This could mean we may have to rush Tom McDonald in next week.. I love Petracca, but his last quarter efforts in the opening 5 minutes on Cripps was seriously lazy. Allowed him to Waltz out of stoppage far too easily and create score involvements for the first 2 goals that they kicked. He simply had to just lock him down harder and not allow him easy space. Our forward line was lacking big time. It's time to keep Joel Smith permanently there because the Petty out was significant tonight. No more James Jordon thanks. Brayshaw was absolutely huge for us! BOG by a mile in my books. Keep him in there for the rest of the year. All in all, disappointing to lose, but definitely not losing the faith. Win the next 2 and we can set ourselves up well come September.
  3. Yes it was lol Can clearly see his fingers moved.
  4. A matildas and Dees win would top off a good Saturday night for me.
  5. Lol.. more chance it's the 15k Dees fans not turning up, not blues. They actually turn up to games. Blues fans actually/will turn up knowing full there's a chance to knock off another top 4 contender and put themselves in premiership contention.
  6. Geelong just hate pressure
  7. [censored] Cameron is a gun!
  8. That was a clear out in the full perfect view of the boundary umpire.
  9. Stopped paying those since the start of the year..
  10. Hmm.. reckon it's been a fairly umpired game to be honest.
  11. It's 7-7 free kick count for both sides mate..
  12. Collingwood got their game back in order that 2nd quarter. They set themselves up well off half back from the likes of Maynard, Quaynor, Noble who gave them great drive in waves. Game could go either way.
  13. Darcy Moore has done a hammy. Looks a 4 weeker
  14. Get em cattas!
  15. Looks like Darcy Moore is gone for the night?
  16. I hate saying this because I've gone into the past month confident with each game of winning. But I think I can see Carlton getting the win over us tomorrow. Their form from a general stats point of view has them right on top, and their numbers are similar to a premiership teams of the past. This is more of a gut feel as well. [censored] hope I'm wrong.....
  17. At the end of the year it seems. Actually reckon he's underrated in AFL circles. Did a pretty good job with our rebuild and list management and probably one of the good guys who deserved to be part of the grand final success. He'll get snapped up quickly you'd think. https://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/1400687/josh-mahoney-to-step-away-from-essendon
  18. You have more chance of Colin Garland pulling on the boots for the new Tassie team then this actually happening.
  19. No, I didn't. You can't just openly say there's no point picking certain draftees purely because he'll definitely go home to Tassie once they enter the AFL system in 2028. Clutching at straws is 'Old' with zero evidence or information to back this up. A lot can change once draftees are in the AFL system and our player retention rate over the last 6-8 years has been excellent. Jason Taylor has openly stated that home sickness has never been a level of concern or taken into consideration when looking into draftee selection. No coincidence that we've also drafted more interstate players then home grown in the past couple of years. @old55 contradiction himself here as well. He says that Melbourne would be ill advised to pick him because he'll most definitely leave a team that will be on the decline with our aging stars such as Petracca and Oliver to then go to a team that will be starting off and most likely won't even content for finals until 5-6 years into the system? By then McKercher is already into his 30's and probably battling to keep his spot Does he then actually not realise also Sydney actually have an older list demographic then Melbourne?
  20. So he'd be inclined to leave Melbourne for Tassie because we will be on the decline but yet happy to stay in Sydney or Freo because their list has far more greater potential? Okay mate.
  21. Unfortunately he hasn't been online since March the 1st 2022..
  22. Amazing isn't it.. easily sucked in by media narrative. Dead set, if they were ever going to be reincarnated again with an anima,l it definitely be a fish with the amount of bait they take so easily.
  23. Then I'm not sure why the men can't follow suit? We the first original pioneers and we've got the capacity there in terms of funding etc. Good on Mick and his team.
