  1. What rumour? Got his opportunity in a big final. I'd be very surprised if he leaves.
  2. I'm guessing for Laurie.
  3. The bigger crowds act as a 23rd man. The Collingwood noise in that first quarter was absolutely nuts just from watching it on TV. I then tune in to Carlton v Sydney and the roar when Cripps kicked that goal was like no other. Can't imagine what it's like attending. But I do think you're right, it seems that we are really jittery when we come up against big hostile crowds. This is why getting off to a good start is critical. Drown the early noise put immediately.
  4. Really do hope he gets the Richmond coaching gig.
  5. Clearly I'm making a point of saying no? There's significant ramifications that's going to come out of this. The growing list of ex players filing a lawsuit against the AFL will only increase. The bigger picture out of all this is emotional and mental toll this is having on Angus and his family right at this minute.
  6. That's exactly where my mind is at. I know there's a lot of emotions right now but it's going to get a whole lot worse when there's a camera at Brayden Maynard potentially holding up a premiership medal by the way things are falling into place for the pies. I can't think of a game where losing last week to the pies will be our 'what if' moment. A missed opportunity just gone begging and now it's the hard road to the top. Meanwhile pies get an easy run straight to the granny.
  7. I would if he wasnt turning 36 next year. But he's genuinely cooked mate. Not that he was overly quick but his awareness and sharpness around stoppages have declined significantly. Champion player, but he needs to.retire gracefully.
  8. Nope, had him gone for 4 weeks. But I'm not one bit surprised he got off.
  9. Genuine over the top comment by old mate there..
  10. Let's talk proper footy now. What's done is done and all supporters can do now is move on and cheer the lads on Friday night. Still not confident at all we win and don't know how we kick a winning score but hopefully the guys have a read hot crack.
  11. Glad that [censored] show is over. Can now totally focus on Friday night and hope like hell we win!
  12. Rollo was right all along.. 🤣
  13. Agree, i've really enjoyed watching the Giants play this year. They play such a fast attacking brand of footy that suits their playing list. If we get knocked out on Friday night I'm 100% on the giants train for this finals series.
  14. I disagree. Let's just leave it at that.
  15. Christian Petracca had his knee strapped at training today.
  16. But it wasn't though... We smashed Collingwood in the clearences in the last quarter and gave our chance every opportunity to win. We were literally 2 goals away from winning the game and that was purely down to poor inside 50 entries and poor conversion throughout the night. As if Goody and the players are going to blame the loss to Gus's being knocked out. Even Gus himself wouldn't be happy with this excuse. We had Jake Melksham go down with an ACL injury which had a significant impact on our forward line against Sydney. Yet we still ran away winners on the day because we were able to readjust and create other avenues to goal and make use of those opposite. Finals is all about making your opportunities count at every cost. Look at the difference between the winners and loser this weekend gone. All the losing teams had poor conversion at goal compared to the winners who kicked accurately. There's your game right there.
  17. You honestly think the reason we lost purely because of the incident? You think Simon Goodwin and the rest of the players are all sitting there blaming the the loss to Angus being knocked out?? Yikes... Not the actual fact that we kicked 7.11 for the night and blew our chances in front of goal? 4 out on the full shots in the last quarter? The incident had nothing to do with us losing the game. It's a separate issue. We lost because we didn't make the most of our chances. Our ridiculous amount of inside 50 entries tells you all that. No mate. He was knocked out for a full 2 minutes. 2 minutes is a long time for someone to be knocked out. This is a guy with extensive concussion history, is currently undergoing a brain scan and will be taking time out to think about his future over the off season as quoted by his Hamish Brayshaw last night. That says enough to me that we won't see Angus at all this year. His health is absolutely priority and I'd be incredibly surprised if he is ticked off to play again this year.
  18. No he won't. They're pretty much ruling him out for the year.
  19. Brayshaw shouldn't and won't play this year.
