  1. Dawes in the back line is interesting.
  2. Only if the move there on a permanent basis.
  3. "Here...fishy, fishy, fish. we're not going to hurt you, we just want to eat you!" Gene Wilder, Frisco Kid. "Elvis has left the building" some guy on the announc-o-phone, at somecElvis gig. That's what they all say. Hope he does though.
  4. Petracca for Hogan. Oliver for Brayshaw brayshaw doesn't look like he has recovered from that big knock. Hogan needs to breathe. Maybe a little R&R at 'rancho relaxo' in Casey might fit the bill. Gee it's fun knit picking performance and not writing off the season.
  5. I pity Williamstown with Petracca, Oliver, Trengrove and ANB vying for spots in the seniors.
  6. So...it's no longer self flagellation?
  7. I saw a close up post match and he looked like chunk from Goonies. Anyone else?
  8. Rest Oliver, show Tracc what the new guy can do and make him realise he needs to earn it, not just show potential.
  9. 'Steady as a rock" 'But, he shoots with his other hand." blazing saddles
  10. Do you need a straw to be a felcher?
  11. Why stop there? I'll take a chance and predict that this is our 'Dam Buster'. Ten on the trot, post us drowning Norfs ambitions to make us their bunnies. There, that felt good. Yet, strangely hollow. A bit like those chocolate Easter bunnies. Meh, I'll take it as it comes. Go Dees
  12. The last time the N.N.O.T.Y (never north of the Yarra) offence was used, we ended up in Casey. Besides, North Fitzroy is more 'South of the River' than actually being South of the River. Try telling Fitzroyalty that's it's better on the other side. Fawkner Park? Really! Perhaps our club house could be at Leonda Receptions, or did I give away to much?
  13. The view from the grand stand is worth it alone. Ah. Ain't dreaming grand (stand)-make it happen Dee's.
  14. The Brunswick street oval in Fitzroy has a beautiful oval, you can see the city (Melbournesque.)
  15. A budding young talent. Hope he doesn't make a hash of it....and.. Good-night!
  16. That quote only comes out after the obligatory 2-3 has been served, if memory serves.
  17. Thanks! That was fun. If you flick the photo's fast enough, it's just like watching the real thing.
  18. Come on, it's fun always being right. The glass ain't half full and it's not half empty. It's simply halfway.
  19. You've summed up my feelings perfectly. the group know it's happening and rather than waiting for it, they're beginning to take it themselves. I hope they are rewarded for this ambition. It certainly is a good time to be a demons supporter.
  20. I was watching our forward line during the game on Saturday and loving watching Watts really enjoying the tough, behind the scenes stuff. Giving a bit of lip, working the GWS boys with Hoges, having a laugh with Pedo, Kent and Jeffy. It reminded me of a thought I had last year, that I got howled down for at the time, that Jack would start to dominate games when he walked a little taller, surrounded by competitors that oppositions feared. It seems we have those competitors, opposition are starting to hurt and Jack seems to be on the verge of tearing other teams a new one. The intentions of GWS were obvious from the outset. Intimidate and physically bully the forward line. Jack being the most obvious target. He has a history of being fragile, so break him and the line breaks, being the message. Heater was the worst. What I loved was our forward lines response. The smallest player in our forward line decked their largest. Kent continuously stared Heater down and hurt him in tackles. Hogan got in their faces all day. Watts seemed to love the banter with Hogan while they were obviously sledging their opponents. Vanders and Viney kept pushing through. By the last quarter they had broken them. A team of competitors around Jack has seen him walk taller. He will never be 'mongrel' tough, but, he seems a lot less worried about the tough stuff. Hopefully, this frees him up a little. I would love Jack to reach the heights of his potential.
  21. The boys in the forward line are not just standing up for themselves anymore. They're starting to intimidate back lines. The argy bargy was full on, all day. Heater tried, but,Kent, Jeffy, Hoges, Pedo and Watsy broke them. By the end of the last quarter they laughing at them. They'd won. Watts stands much taller with those boys baking him. Who wouldn't.
  22. I'm not sure what I thought of this guy when we drafted him, but, I'm damn sure now. Clarry, your a gun, through and through. W.O.W. !!
  23. But, this is Buckleys team. No longer living in Mick's shadow. Their ability represents Nathan's ability to coach. Go figure FIGJAM.
  24. What was going on out there today. Felt like Razor Ray's objectivity was left in Gills pocket. Either that or the guy needs to see out the rest of his days pulling frozen chooks out of a barrel in a retirement home somewhere.
