  1. Totally agree Adam, always valued your opinion. My point was, I think we can get him without selling the farm. I'm probably wrong. But, what's not to like about getting value for money. I've always preferred top end Rhone wines rather than mid range Bordeaux. If that makes me un-demon-like, then tar and feather me.
  2. We couldn't match that anyway. So it's a moot point Besides, It would be delusional to sell the farm for a player who doesn't fix their problems. Just my opinion. For what's it's worth, I'm not trying to generate spite or play devils advocate, I'm just teasing out what I believe is a situation we can take advantage of. Yes, at his best Prestia is an A-grader. Worth every cent and trade value. But, End of contact, injuries and an erosion of the projected club potential swing things in our favour. If Richmond over commit, I believe that's a win for us anyway. However it pans out, I'd be ecstatic if he joins the club for whatever our recruiting department get him for. if that takes a first rounder +, then so be it. I guess we'll wait for the trade week outcome. I certainly didn't mean to ruffle your feathers (Abe, Adam, Tough Kenty and Doctor)
  3. Better than him walking to the draft. His contract is over at the end of the season. Last year was their chance to negotiate. They gambled on their form convincing him to re-sign. I'd suggest this hasn't played out so well and they'll take a reasonable deal. They may well get a first rounder eventually, but, I wouldn't lead with it. We landed Vince with a second rounder.
  4. Sheesh, I'm glad your not negotiating on the Dees behalf. If he's out the door and names us as his preferred destination, I'd hope we'd be offering no more than an early second round pick. At least upfront.
  5. Port have done very well to keep our small forwards quiet. Dixon has almost had more goals than Kennedy, Garlett and Kent have had possession in the first half.
  6. The Pies on the QB game, with a good old fashioned raised elbow coat hanger. The Hawks to prove we deserve to be there. Done in high, jovial spirits to remind Frawley how hollow a trophy is without your mates And The swans, just for Roosy. Me bitter, never. I've just got a decade of F you's to launch. The saints....next....
  7. Um...new role, mid field, collected 50+ possessions last two weeks in the NEAFL. Boring!
  8. I thought they let him run with the ball in the 2s the last two week. 45+ possessions each game.
  9. I thought our deal last year was very generous with GC. Perhaps there was an acknowledgement that Prestia was coming to the Dees.
  10. No, no! Merret can stay at B.Lions.
  11. But, Gee he creates opportunity. You can see him still feeling his way, getting used to what is happening around him. He is going to be immense.
  12. Seeing we're off topic! Any chance the Dee's can convince Jobe to use his new found coffee jargon at our centre bounces. In an attempt to secretly communicate with Gawny, who is also well versed in the art of late.
  13. I am Gob smacked by the number of times the Dogs throw the ball in close and get a free's for wriggle down once the tackle has been applied. disgraceful.
  14. And the Hawks swoop out of nowhere. Frawley, fitzy, Rioli, Roughhead, hogan...goal!!!! sorry! Living out a nightmare i had last night. Sorry all. Damn you Clarkson.
  15. As should the name of said location. Sheesh, that ain't no selling point
  16. That said, the Clay family, of one town over, may be trying to tempt him over to Richmond. Never underestimate the power of regional legends. Hang on, I think Gary Lyon was from the same town as Dick Clay, no problems. Oh! Wait, did he play for Lemnos (the swans jumper) or Mooroopna (Geelong jumper)? The affiliation with local team jumpers may sway also him. Curse this damn world and its temptations!!!!
  17. Sorry C&B, I was cheekily playing with the potential ramifications that your alias implies. I'd assume a vinadaloo and a stout may produce said results. It was never intended as a character assassination.
  18. That's not the only orifice Curry and Beer will blow steam out of.
  19. I was watching the broadcast of the North (I think it was the north game) game and commented on how the umpire was imposing himself on the game. The penny dropped several minutes later upon hearing his name. Since the Essendon game, it is with a very heavy heart I hear the name " 'Razor' Ray Camberlain" He treats our players appeals with the benevolence of a dictator, not with a matter of fact interpretation of the RULES.
  20. It depends on how those frees were handed out During the Tassie game it felt like North were receiving a substantial bias in the free kick department, always in a dangerous position and if not were given 50 to aid them. To balance the ledger, we received plenty of soft decisions that were Not in positions of advantage. As for Razor Ray...
