  1. It felt good, huh? The smiles, optimism and spirits were high. There were a few rusty renditions of grand old flag, but, there is a genuine sense of expectation and comradery. It's coming!
  2. Great to see Brayshaw's competitive spirit doesn't slack off in a practice match. Trenners had taken a great mark and was hard on the boundary kicking for goal. Brayshaw's took it upon himself to get over and put him off with the sledge 'only 2 years since the last one trenners. No pressure' gold. Worked.
  3. Agreed. It seems like he is a great sounding board and highly respected by the players. Trac was frustrated at the lack of leading options presenting and decided to take the game on. He made his way around the mark and tried to create a one, two allowing him to open up the field. Unfortunately, the skills of others under pressure weren't up to his idea. Trac made his way over to H and seemed to asking Him about his decision making, H then seemed to point out a couple of other options. Trac calmed and reset.
  4. Agreed, when he engaged, the ball was his. Always trying to create and you could see his frustration that others didnt have the ability to see his vision. However, he seemed to struggle between his explosive bursts, a little more game time wouldn't hurt. But, what do I know, I love what I saw and he is going to be the real deal.
  5. Yep! Beautiful kick, good vision, addressed the troops and took a great sliding mark in front of goals to the delighted onlookers. He will be 22 when fit
  6. The sun even shines on a dog's arse, some days.
  7. That's it! It's all too much. I can't wait till tomorrow. Don't start without me!
  8. Just running with it, dream midline, very excited. Go Dee's He is a little under Dunn. Sorry, I am ashamed.
  9. I'm loving that centre line. The three Vs, rhymes with Dees. Hard as nails.
  10. I hope that's not why contract talks are on hold. No I in team?
  11. If we can convince one of the Sydney teams to come down the coast on a Ferry, we could use it to get fans too the game without added pressure on the roads. Geelong and Williamstown ( For the Cats and Doggies supporters) to Gosch's paddock terminal (built with afl's new funds). Maybe even a Brighton boat! Come to think of it, why isn't the state government providing this service to alleviate the road congestion. Cheaper than new roads I'm sure.
  12. If it really does go wrong, we can draw a giant pentagon in the middle and leave it too the real Demon supporters out that way.
  13. I think I saw 5 photos, one after the other, on another thread. Two more for real and we break the Norm Smith Curse!!!
  14. I love watching him think in traffic. He seems to love trying to read a couple of moves ahead. I've noticed a couple of times him harassing the player trying to get the ball out (making him think he is being tackled) while looking to assess what the options are and throwing himself at that option to effect the next tackle. He's still young, can you imagine what his vision is going to be like in 5 years, if that is how he reads play now.
  15. Why stop there? Let's not miss the one in the middle this time.
  16. I like the idea of a Sandy story page. Any funny Sandy stories or urban myths that could be attributed to the man, please leave here.
  17. Probably has a few GWS bunnies from his NEAFL days
  18. I think you mean Brie de Meaux!! A much sharper contrast to chalk than Camembert. And you call yourself a Melbourne supporter.
  19. Wagner gifted them at least two. He looks to have settled in the second half. But, backline is a little green with both he and Omac in there. Loving Watts and Gawn taking so many contested marks. Feel we are missing Vanders for the contested fear factor It's exciting watching the team build confidence and enjoy the flow of the more aggressive game plan.
  20. That land should fetch a decent return, why not spend on something fabulous, like a floating stadium? Off season exhibition games would certainly turn heads. Imagine pulling into Kowloon Bay with that baby. We could kill two birds with the one stone and name it 'Eddiehad' stadium. Time for these guys to think big.
  21. I'd like to VDB spend a little more time in the middle, rough those doggies up a bit. Loving Watts and Jeffy. If Jack keeps finding space and slotting them like this, he will find the boys looking for him a lot. agreed on Viney, his disposal needs to be more damaging. Too many up and under hand balls, Hope he apologised to the captain. That said, he is looking phenomenal ain the coal face. Salem and McDonald, I hope, will sharpen those skills as the season continues. Thats my half time rant!
