  1. The stat is, the % of teams that play finals with a potato in their teams is 0
  2. Kidding yourself buddy, he's a dead set potato
  3. Wrong, the coach makes the decisions, if you haven't played AFL football who are you to comment on it?
  4. I'd probably let that stat go champ, he's a dud.
  5. He doesn't get a game because he's a spud, if Pederson were a regular in our team we wouldn't be considered potential finalists
  6. Jake Melkshams biggest Kpi is that he is Goodwins mate, recruited to be a good kick off half back, only he's not a good kick so really we're paying him 450k a year to be goodys mate
  7. I was at jack Vineys place the other day, hiding in the bushes, saty can verify that I was there, anyways turns out jack is carrying an injury, when I asked him he said " who the [censored] are you!? [censored] off!?
  8. I suppose my point is that unless those mistakes are becoming less and less common I think there is cause for concern
  9. That's fine but i certainly think they need to improve, I see this as the biggest weakness of 4-5 players in our best 22 and often the odd mistake ends up being an opposition goal, if that happens a couple of times a game it makes it tough.
  10. I agree, these players are very good but their finishing lets them down. Not sure there is room for average kicks in the modern game
  11. I look at players like jack Viney, dom Tyson and the McDonald brothers who all play key roles in our starting 22 but they are all average kicks. I think this is a really key area for us to improve, but I can't see us winning a flag unless especially the McDonald brothers improve in that area. I know some will disagree but I ask for respectful discussion as I think this is a fair topic to discuss.
  12. Yes I think he would but the giants are scary and aren't really a fair comparison, a lot of very good players that would get a game at other clubs but would struggle to crack the giants side
  13. mental illness is a [censored], have virtually no respect for hird as a person but wouldn't wish the black dog on anyone.
  14. you might well be right Rjay, i just wonder how many would rate Parish more highly, just at this moment. 2 years time i am extremely confident Clarrie will be ahead of Parish and looking really good for the next decade.
  15. Sorry mate, i didn't know that i had to contact all other clubs before i could post a comment on here, Parish is a quality young mid and in my opinion every single club in the comp would be interested, i am not sure Oliver is quite there yet, but as i said in an earlier post i think his ceiling is much higher than Parish. so right now Parish is a good young player who may be slightly ahead and would attract a lot of interest on the open market Oliver is a talented young player who has the potential to be even better and i look forward to seeing how he responds to the drink driving thing and how well he goes this year.
  16. It was a typo... i meant in a very poor team. even Jack viney didn't have the same impact Parish did in his first year of the Dees, and we were of a similar quality to what the Bombers were this year.
  17. While i think Oliver is very talented and will be a very good player for us RIGHT NOW Parish is ahead of Oliver, he's a very well rounded player, wins his own ball, uses it well and held his own in a very good team, if he was OOC 18 clubs would be keen, not the same with Oliver. but that's not the arguement here, what Oliver did let himself, his family and the club down and i'm sure he'll cop some sort of punishment, maybe miss the start of the season, and move on to hopefully a goood decade at the DEES
  18. Not sure who we're going to de list to make room for a quality NQR player.
  19. One thing i really wish they'd bring in is the names on the jumper mini me ( my son ) is always having to look in the book to work out who players are by their number. the clash jumper is close to the worst i've seen and a 16 year old in an arts class could design better in my opinion, some of the suggestions on here are much better.
  20. He's young and he's done something silly, he'll cop a spray from Goody and the leadership group, cop whatever punishment they give on the chin and move on and learn from it. not sure what the extra punishment will/should be, but it's a good opportunity to turn it into a positive
  21. Mitchell and Cotchin are now the joint 2012 brownlow medal winners.
  22. Not sure we even did our DD, based on Goodwins comments it sounds as though he wasn't even considered. he might be an okay pickup for Essendon if he can find form, and as a DFA they don't lose a lot, i just don't think he suited our needs.
  23. I think a strongly lead AFL would have seen Essendons actions as an attack on their rules and their integrity rather than a mess they have to clean up, i think at the very least the Bombers should have lost out on their first round pick, the Lions were awarded a priority selection to help them but missed out on pick 1 because Essendon did the wrong thing, it's a long way from fair. perhaps the AFL might be keep for Essendon to keep quiet about some of the details of the SAGA as well.
