My opinion is he's having a hard time officially telling the Hawks. they know, because they aren't stupid, but actually telling a club you've been at for a long period of time, and had a lot of success with is a big deal.

I don't mind them trading both. but they should just be handling it better. Treloar to the Suns does look like a good deal for everyone. but if Treloar doesn't want to go, he doesn't want to go.

Kinda shocked by the way Collingwood are treating Adam Treloar, and the fact they're allowing it to play out publicly is really strange.

Definitely about his contract. the big thing that's hurting him at the moment is we have no serious competition for his signature. Appears to me to be an attempt to make sure the marketplace knows that Brown leaving is a lot more to do with NM than him.

Definitely looking like a pretty big shake up, which is needed. I've felt this year our top 15 players match up pretty well against the top 4, but we desperately needed a key forward and some role players. The additions of Brown and Smith immediately make us look a much better side. surrounding them with 2-3 more handy role players greatly improves our bottom 6 and i'm confident that'll also improve our consistency. The thing is every week you know Gawn, Petracca, Oliver are gunna be pretty good and the same could be said for a few blokes but we've always got a group of 6-7 players who are in and out of the side who regularly don't contribute anything and it costs the side. The biggest need i see for our team is to make sure our bottom 6 are consistent role players, they know what they're in the side to do, and they do it every week.

Tigs have told Jack Higgins he's on the trade table. definitely someone we should absolutely be looking at. would add some chase and tackle pressure to our forward line that we currently lack, crafty around goals and provides a bit of X-Factor. Nathan Broad is another who i rate, he's not getting the interest he thought he might, but in terms of improving your bottom 6, that's a guy with the capacity to be a very good role player. I believe Broad is also a F/A so wouldn't cost anything.

RE: Brown. the market is very slim. the Saints think they're out of the race. Bombers have another target key forward, which on their part i think is a better decision for them. We're as good a fit for Brown as he is for us. the guy is an incredible player and Sam Weideman and Luke Jackson are going to learn a lot from him in terms of forward craft.

Not at all. the club just wants McDonalds salary off the books, the Pies can't afford to take it on straight up so it'd be more a way to take a % of it off our hands without causing even more salary cap problems on their end. I suspect he'll end up going for a draft pick though. Clubs are aware we will trade Tmac for very little if they take on his whole salary.

I've watched your posts for a few years Red and you've made some great calls about players we should look at, that would have looked like masterstrokes the next season. Jeremy Finlayson in 2018 is one that comes to mind.

we've asked the question. feedback we've gotten is he's reluctant to move to vic for 1-2 years, and is hoping to stay at WCE, i suspect he'll either stay at WC or retire. but we will continue to ask as things unfold
