  1. Kalani is obviously a string bean atm, But he looks like he will fill out nicely with a big frame.
  2. John receives a phone call from Eddie *John wtf are you doing, walk your dog somewhere else.
  3. Is Kolt out there today? Also, do we know what Melks issue was on Monday?
  4. Don't think it effects racing in the slightest... plus he will also be able to continue walking his dog there. Seems to just be outrage for the sake of outrage, which is very common whenever change is involved.
  5. Fantastic.... did he give a reason why?
  6. Just noticed this on the club website - VFL | New names at Casey Fields in 2025 New Players Mitch Hardie (Geelong) A strong addition to our midfield, Mitch Hardie comes to us from Geelong, having spent the past two years on their AFL list. Known for his strength around stoppages and in the contest, Mitch is an inside midfielder who can also hit the scoreboard when needed. His vast experience will bring leadership and resilience to the club, making him a key figure in our midfield for the 2024 season. Deakyn Smith (North Melbourne VFL) Returning to the club, Deakyn Smith is back after an outstanding 2023 season where he won the Casey Demons Best and Fairest (B&F) award. A running half-back with the ability to score and contribute offensively, Deakyn is also a formidable one-on-one player. His strong understanding of the club and its culture will no doubt make him an essential player for our defensive line and beyond. We welcome Deakyn back with open arms, and his leadership will be vital in the upcoming season. Jai Culley (West Coast Eagles) A local talent hailing from Langwarrin, Jai Culley joins us after being selected as the first pick in the 2022 mid-season draft by West Coast. Standing at 194cm, Jai is a powerful inside midfielder with excellent stoppage skills and the ability to impact the scoreboard, as demonstrated when he kicked 4 goals in round 6 of the 2023 AFL season. His physical presence in the midfield and his knack for getting the ball in key moments will be an asset to our squad. Re-signings Paddy Cross We are thrilled to announce the re-signing of Paddy Cross, the versatile wingman who can also play midfield and contribute on the scoreboard. After a challenging period of injuries, Paddy is poised for a fresh start this season, and if he enjoys an injury-free pre-season, he could be like a new recruit for the club. His run and carry will be essential to our midfield and wing rotations. Kai Windsor After an exceptional 2023 season, Kai Windsor has re-signed with the club for the 2025 season. Having played 15 games last year, Kai showed immense growth, especially after taking a break from football in the previous two years. Primarily operating on the half-forward line, Kai’s continued development at the VFL level will be a critical factor in the team’s success. We are excited to see him continue to flourish in the upcoming season. New Young Players to Watch Patrick Ireland Patrick Ireland is one to watch for the future, having kicked an impressive 111 goals for Buln Buln in the Ellinbank & District League. Standing at 193cm, Patrick is a mid-sized forward with a knack for finding the ball both on the ground and in the air. His strong hands and great lead, paired with his excellent goal sense, make him a player to watch as he transitions into the higher levels of the game. Tyson Sruk Tyson Sruk joins the Demons after spending time on Carlton's VFL list. Though he didn’t play a VFL game in 2024, Tyson’s impressive performances in the Coates League Grand Final, where he was named Best on Ground, show his potential. A local Rowville player, Tyson is strong across half-back or in midfield and will add depth to the club’s defensive and midfield rotations. Chance Doultree A new recruit from Traralgon in the Gippsland League, Chance Doultree brings a wealth of experience from higher-grade football, with previous stints at Footscray VFL and Norwood SANFL. A speedy half-forward, Chance averaged 23 possessions per game in Traralgon’s premiership season, combining quick pace with a strong sense of goal. We look forward to seeing Chance make an impact on the scoreboard and in forward pressure situations. Looking Forward With these exciting new additions, re-signings, and young stars, the Casey Demons are well-positioned to make a significant impact in the upcoming season. We are eager to see how the fresh talent integrates with the club’s existing squad and what they will bring to the table. The club’s future is bright, and with a mixture of experienced players and dynamic newcomers, we can’t wait for what’s to come.Stay tuned for more updates.
  7. Well we moved AMW to the Cat A list from B, so I'm guessing that this had to occur due to how many years he's been at the club. We can't move someone from Cat A to B though. Cat B is only for NGA rookies or overseas/non AFL background players such as basketballers
  8. I think if there is a long term injury in pre season we could possibly sign him. Unsure of the dates for cut-off of this though. Then the other chance would be the mid season draft, again if we have a spot available due to a long term injury. I think we also have a Cat B rookie spot available as well, but he doesn't qualify for that.
  9. This is the problem, people can attack other posters anonymously and then claim that freedom of speech doesn't exist. People are absolutely free to have their opinions, but there is a difference between having different opinions and overtly attacking certain people regularly. I think the vast majority of posters are a bit fed up with it tbh. We come on here to chat with other fans, get inside information (whether true or not) and be part of the Dees community, well I do anyway.
  10. 100% agree. Really we should've been looking at a home base in this general location years ago, given it is essentially the Demon heartland. I love the MCG precinct and the surrounding area, but realistically it is impossible to build a community feel in that area.
  11. I understand what you’re saying, but I’m personally not too concerned. Our agreements will ensure we can utilise the ovals at the times we desire. There’s also going to be two football ovals I believe, so I’m sure it will be managed easily. Time will tell I guess.
  12. That’s the price of doing business… anyway it’s just semantics really, somehow the school will be paying the MRC $195m or whatever it is.
  13. Potentially, though from experience in large property related developments entities very rarely pay outright in cash.
  14. Sorry to be a smart [censored], I just didn’t understand how the MRC clearing debts means the school pays in cash. They may not borrow the full amount, but they may be borrowing some of it. A school of that size and with those connections would also most likely have access to private funding as well. They might borrow say 20-30% from traditional banks, another 20-30% from private equity and then fund the remainder themselves for example.
  15. Scopus borrow some money from the bank. The bank gives the MRC the money. The money then goes to the MRC loans….
  16. How about staying off here then. Might do you some good?
  17. Good question.... no idea! I'm going to assume yes.
  18. Confirming Andy engaged with an architect for these
  19. But this is what everyone is trying to explain, where the school would be built isn't taking away this area for our administration offices. You seem to be purposely ignoring what everyone is saying?
  20. The Mt Scopus project is for a completely different parcel of land and has nothing to do with what our plans are, other than potentially wanting use of the sports fields potentially being built. They were probably aware of this to some capacity, but wouldn't have been allowed to discuss due to confidentiality. The club has also been fairly transparent in this, stressing that the feasibility report does not guarantee anything will go ahead given they then have to work out the funding model.
  21. You do realise the project isn't dead right? They are currently working on the funding model.
  22. Seems to be a better tagger than small forward 😉
  23. They would actually be crazy to not use these facilities, given they wouldn't have to pay for the construction side just a lease for use. Would give them access to two soccer fields and two AFL fields.... that would be any schools dream.
  24. They have a heap of small forwards.... think we should organise a raid of one of them end of 2025 or 2026 actually. Plenty of Vic boys there and they can't play them all.
