Trac had a range of issues in his early career, think it was actually a broken toe from playing basketball that caused him to miss a chunk of the preseason. He also had a fairly underwhelming start to his career and would drift in and out of games. He has been on record as saying he wasn't acting like a professional at times, however from 2020 onwards he has been an absolute professional. It was one of the reasons I was disappointed with him last year, he seems to have forgotten the amount of time and work the MFC have put into developing him into the player he is today. Yes, a lot of it is due to his work ethic now but the club definitely helped him to work through issues early in his career.

Agreed. Boyd looks like his only position will be first ruck and he is very undersized for that at 198cm. We've got Campbell as our back up ruck, who I think is the better option for the short term. Johnson was brought in to play as a forward who pinch hits in the ruck.

100% agree. I personally think this is better than the MCG precinct as it will enable a stronger community feel in the Glen Eira area. It is also close to a lot of suburbs you would imagine would be desirable for an AFL player to live given their increasing salaries.

That is an impressive list of smalls. I think Kozzy will still spend some time forward, but increasing his midfield time will be good for the side overall. If we were to do a man by man comparison I think it might be something like this: - Lohmann > Chandler - Ah Chee > Fritsch - Cameron > Kozzy - Rayner > Trac - Bailey > Tholstrup The question is can we get a similar output from those 5 as the lions got from theirs… Then the other key area is Daniher 58 goals and Hipwood 33. Can JVR and Turner also try replicate this to some extent. Also shows how big a hole the Lions have to fill now with Daniher retiring. Morris was very good, but as third tall so it will be tougher playing the 2nd tall essentially.

Correct. And this is where Simon Goodwin and the rest of the coaches will need to earn their keep. They need to be reinforcing that they want players to continue to take risks and if errors happen no problem, move on and keep having a crack. I like Goodwin as a coach and man manager, but I do wonder if his defence first mindset does rub off on the players sometimes.

If Kalani White (assuming he chooses us) and Toby Sinnema end up being top 20/30 prospects we will have done so well these last 3 drafts. Windsor, Kolt, Langford, Lindsay, White and Sinnema. Quite funny all the people I talk to are like ‘oh what’s going on with the Dees, rebuild time hey?’ I just respond with don’t be surprised if we are back in the 8. They look at me surprised
